I don’t like this Colt, they should be here by now.I said as I paced the lounge in the pack house. It’s been several hours since Jessi told Levi that they were on the way up. Even if they were walking up in human form they would have been here a couple hours ago. The autumn sun will be coming

to a set soon.

I’m going to look for them.I told him, Levi come with me.He stood and followed immediately.

Colt followed suit and even linked with a few others to get a team out. I linked with Ash asking him

to head to the caves and make sure that they haven’t seen them.

The good thing about being a wolf is we have a great sense of scent. It took about twenty minutes before one of us caught a scent. The scent was strong, they were definitely in this area today. However, the scent is not so strong that they were in the area in the last couple of hours.

I tried so hard to convince myself that we’d find them, that they just got lost is all. It was a hard thing to convince myself of, given that both Jessi and my mom have been up and down this

mountain several times. Not to mention, they had a couple of the pack members with them too.

I had to tell myself something though, the alternative was too difficult to think. We followed the

scent for about ten minutes when the all too familiar scent of wolfsbane filled the air, followed by the scent of blood. What we found shortly after made me sick to my stomach.

Keep following the scent!Colt yelled. No one moved, they just stood and stared allowing the anger to fill them. Colt roared Keep f*****g looking I said!Once the men felt the command rush at them like a gust of wind, they finally began to move continuing the search.

When they were gone continuing the search I fell to my knees. Before me, was the body of one of our pack members. Arrows riddled his body, from his legs up to his eyes.

They have them Colt. They have my babies!I cried. I couldn’t contain it. I was sobbing. Levi knew as I did that they were in horrible danger.

I’m so sorry Freya.Colt said, taking a knee beside me. I made the mistake of letting them live. I let the Crow live with the expectation that they’d get a better leader. He stood back up and looked over to Levi, I will not be making that mistake again.

Just then, the group came back to inform us that they followed the scent to the bottom of the mountain where the cars were. All of the cars have been heavily damaged to where they cannot be driven and once they got to the cars, they couldn’t find the scent. This means that they got into a

car.

Let us go back to the pack, gather all warriors and get the bears to join us. We leave immediately. We will be getting our families back.Colt ordered,

We shifted and ran back. It took maybe twenty minutes, and a large group of the bears had joined

with us.

Don’t worry Luna Freya. We will destroy these pathetic humans and get your children back.Sky said as she walked up and hugged me.

I appreciate you stepping in to help us with this. I understand this isn’t your fight. This is personal, they kidnapped me, drugged me, killed me, and now they have my mother, my best friend, my nephew, and my babies. I don’t want a single one of them to be left standing when we’re done.I lamented.

Whatever you want, we will help. It’s one thing to do that to you, but to take children is beyond forgiveness. She reassured me.

Bjorn went up to Colt, We are fully ready to support you however you need here but we do have a slight dilemma. We cannot run as fast as wolves can for long periods of time.

Colt answered, We should be able to carry you in wolf form. Our wolves are very strong.

Shortly after, we took off. All the wolves shifted and the bears climbed onto a wolf and we began running. I was not aware of the way we needed to take, but Colt was. He remembered it clearly.

Once we entered the grounds of the Blackfoot tribe he requested access for us to pass through, explaining the situation. They granted access on the condition that any fighting not be carried onto their territory. Colt agreed, and then off we were once again.

We couldn’t get there fast enough. My mind raced. They had no concerns with how much of that

poison they used me. They used so much that even the goddess couldn’t keep me from dying.

Granted, she brought me back but she also said that she cannot do that again.

My father ran by my side, Colt ran on my other side. Levi was beside Colt, anger and fear both present in his eyes. I carried Sky, Colt carried Bjorn, Levi carried Koda. According to Sky, aside from

her as their leader, Koda and Bjorn were the best warriors they have.

I found myself wondering for a brief moment who that other man was to her that our pack killed.

She never did say, all she said was that he was one of her men. I shook the thought from my mind.

Not that I wasn’t interested or curious about that, but I don’t have time to concern myself with that.

I need to get my kids back.

The longer it took us to get there the more imaginative I became with what I was going to do to these people.

Finally, Colt linked us all to stop.

We’re here.” He said. This is where we need to start being cautious. Last time we fought them.

they shot at us from the trees with arrows dipped in bane.

Shall I shield us?I asked.

He thought for a moment, then answered I think what we should do is head in. Once we catch

sight, scent, or anything then we’ll have you shield. He looked over at me, Don’t forget we have

your father too.He motioned over to my dad standing next to me.

Freya, I went to Eunice before we left.” Colt Levi began saying to me. He said that they’re being held in the same room that you were in before, but they’re guarded.”

Those bars were covered in bane, I hope they’re not in that cage. Did he say if they’d been poisoned like I was?I asked, hoping with everything in me that they weren’t.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t answer that. All he knew was they were all awake in his vision. I initially hoped that meant they weren’t but then I remembered that you were awake when I got to you too.

He answered.

I folded my hands into fists and looked toward where we were headed, For the sakes of these

Crow, they better f*****g hope they’ve not poisoned my children, or my mother, or my best friend.

They better be just as healthy as they were when I last saw them. I will make sure not a single one

of them walks away from this.
