FREYA POV
The closer we got the more I could sense my kids. I tried to link Jessi, when she didn’t answer I tried to link my mother. No answer from either of them. Knowing mate bonds are stronger than any other bond out there, I asked my dad and Levi to keep trying to I ink them.
We moved slowly, all of us shifted now. The bears were surrounding us. The good thing for us is that bane won’t impact them the way it does us. The only issue they’ll have is with the actual arrow damage. I told my dad to shield the bears, I’ll shield my pack. There’s no such thing as an even fight when my children are involved.
Before I knew there was anyone else around us, I took an arrow to the arm. Rage tore through me. I felt the bane, but I couldn’t allow myself to weaken I popped the shield, dad doing the same for
the bears. Hell broke loose.
I used my light levitation ability and focused on the small things flying through the air. I want the
arrows to go back to them. I was partially successful. I could hear and see a few of them falling
from the trees after the arrows hit them. Humans may not be impacted by bane, but an arrow
does a hell of a lot more damage to them than it does any of us.
I could sense my babies, I wanted them safe. Thinking of them being poisoned the way I increased
my rage the more I thought about it. Without trying was suddenly creating a gust of wind, a
strong one. Any wind I was able to do before was so light you could barely feel it. Not this one, this
one was stronger than I thought I could ever do. The arrows still flying around were curving away from targets, some were losing their balance and falling from the branches they stood on in the
trees.
I used fear and began running toward the ones on the ground. The first one I came across tried to
hit me with a stick of some kind, and it broke. I ripped my teeth into his throat and moved on. The
next one I clawed across the chest so deep I could feel is bones scrape across my nails. I could
feel the rage Stella had multiply the more she and tore through these people.
I looked around and found Colt beside me, he had a human on his back trying to stab him. He paid
that man no mind since they couldn’t hurt him. Even though I knew the human wasn’t hurting him it
made me see red. I jumped over and crashed into him, taking him to the ground. I placed my paws
on his arm and wrapped my mouth around his head and pulled. When I felt his neck crack, crack,
crack, it still wasn’t enough for me. I didn’t stop until I knew his head was completely ripped off his
body.
When I turned back around I could feel Colt’s eyes on me. I was in no mood for a nice and easy,
light hearted battle. I was out for blood. This tribe killed me. They poisoned me while I was
pregnant, putting my children’s lives at risk once, now they’re doing it again. There is no mercy

I took a quick moment to check on the pack. The shield was holding up, granted it’s only been a few minutes since I put it up but still. The bears were fighting just as ruthlessly as I had hoped they would. Sky explained to me how protective they are over their loved ones. Kids are a no–no to them. There’s a reason there’s an expression of “Going Mama Bear“.
Colt wasn’t taking it easy on anyone either. Though don’t think he liked the lengths I went through on that one man, I know that he is going through just as desperate of lengths. I just watched him rip a man’s arms completely off his body and left him on the ground to bleed out while screaming. Something tells me it’s just because it’s me, his Luna.
My pack was just as ruthless. These are our pack members after all.
I couldn’t see my dad though, I kept looking around and after a short time I realized that bodies were dropping from the trees. I looked up and watched him jump from branch to branch throwing them down, kicking them, hanging them, and throwing them at each other knocking them out of
the trees.
I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride as I watched everyone band together and
take out these people.
I saw the house; I linked Colt and Levi that I was going in. My dad jumped down from the trees like he heard my link too. I made my way to the door with all three men surrounding me. When we
walked in, Colt and I knew where we were going.
“I’m going in first.” Colt ordered.
I wanted to fight him on this, but I new better. I stood back and let him go to the door first.
He opened the door while still standing behind the wall. Eunice said the room was guarded this
time so he was ready for them to start shooting.
There weren’t any arrows coming toward the door though. There wasn’t even a sound coming
from the room. However, there was a familiar scent. Not bane, not blood, not my family. It was a
scent I’ve dreaded.
Colt looked back and me and the look on his face confirmed my fear. He smelt it too. I looked to
Levi and my dad. Levi knew right away. My dad however just stared at us.
“You going in or what?” He asked in a whisper.
No one answered him. Colt linked the pack, “Is everything okay out there?”
Ash responded, “All good up here Alpha.”
Relief came to us only slightly. I could tell my dad was getting irritated, not understanding why we were waiting.

“Dad we have to approach this safely. These aren’t just humans holding them in this room. It’s vampires.” I sternly told him.
