FREYA POV
When Colt got back from talking with Damon he had an odd look on his face, like maybe he was
nervous.
“What happened?” I asked, trying to sound lighthearted to ease the mood.
“Well, pretty much our entire lives together I am not supposed to bring up in this best man speech thing I have to do.” He chuckled lightly, “So I am utterly f****d and have no clue what to say.”
This was a change; I don’t generally see him in distress over something so simple like this. It’s rather cute. Usually when he’s in distress it’s because hell is literally about to break loose.
“Oh honey.” I said, playfully pushing him with my hand, “The best man speech is easy.”
He gave me a look, “If it’s so easy, why don’t you do it?”
I laughed, “Well, clearly I lack the necessary… equipment” I said motioning to his wonderful c**k, for the position of best man.” I added an extra emphasis on the man.
This made him lighten up, I got a good laugh out of him.
“Look babe,” I said stepping in close to him, “All you have to do is say something like ‘I’ve known this man longer than most‘ or some corny line like that followed by ‘Boy the crazy s**t we used to get into‘ and keep that part extra short since he says you can’t say much, and wrap it up with ‘I’ve never seen him happier than he is with Jocelyn and am happy he gets to spend the rest of his life happy! Then you just cheer to the happy couple.” I slapped my hands together like I was brushing something off them.
He looked at me stunned, “You just made up an entire best man speech in like five seconds. Are
you sure you’re not best man material?” He laughed a little.
“Maybe if a had a d**k, but for now I’m more than happy to say that I am just the wife of the best
man.” I said, giving him a little wink.
The ceremony went by quickly. Thankfully, I didn’t have to stand up in front of everyone as part of the wedding court. I was going to be one of her bridesmaids but I’m pretty happy that didn’t end up happening.
Watching Colt up there though, that was hard for me. I wanted to jump his bones the whole time.
He had to link me telling me to calm the hell down or he was going to be up there with a hard on the whole time.
I couldn’t help but love that idea.
He came to find me shortly after the ceremony so he could walk with me to the reception area.

“Still nervous?” I asked him.

“Not anymore. I have a professional speech writer by my side, you know?” He smiled handsomely.
Once he gave his speech, which was basically exactly what I said to do, he said his byes to Damon
and Jocelyn.
He came to get me, and then it was time for us to get back to the hotel room. Once we got in
there, I immediately dropped the dress to the floor and went straight to the bathroom to start the
shower.
Colt walked in behind me, also completely naked.
“I like your idea.” He motioned to his naked body.
“Oh yeah? Well, I’m quite glad I had it.” I said as I eyed his rock–hard manhood.
With the shower running, Colt grabbed me and slowly walked me out of the bathroom and over to the hotel room bed, kissing me the whole way.
I could feel the intense heat rise from between my legs. The need to have him inside me grew more and more intense by the second. Then, I realized why.
The f*****g haze. Thank goddess we’re heading back to our pack today though.
Colt laid me down on the bed and looked down at me with a question in his eye.
“Are you waiting for permission?” I asked.
“Well, um.. Yes, I guess, maybe.” He said he was almost a little nervous again. I love it when he
gets like that.
I understand why he was hesitant. The night before was a bit of a rough one for him to experience
with me. Obviously, it was quite a rough one for me too.
“Please, Colt.” I said, genuinely happy that he considered that I might need a breather.
He smiled, then leaned down onto the bed on top of me. He gave me a deep, passionate kiss as he
slid his hardness into me.
Instantly I could feel the sweet release starting to build up. I wrapped my legs around him, allowing
him to hit in a deeper spot.
“Oh Colt!” I moaned.
He quickened his pace as he felt my walls clench around him. As soon as I came unraveled, I could
feel his release follow.
I don’t really think that Colt understood quite how magical life has felt since I’ve been away from
the city. Granted, the place where Damon has his pack is not much of a city compared to the city

I was surprised that the constant music here actually bothers me. I thought it would be the one thing I actually wanted to enjoy from the city. Turns out, when you don’t live with it all the time it becomes something you don’t enjoy as much.
Given how this trip to the city has been, I think Colt might actually feel more confident in me not wanting to be in the city anymore. Nothing about being in this place is majestic, it’s not astonishing by any means. Maybe it’s because I’ve seen it all before, so I’m just not impressed. However, I think it has more to do with the fact that the goddess has chosen for me. She’s mated me to the alpha of the most traditional pack in the world. She’s designed me to be a part of this pack.
This means that I’ve been designed to thrive in Big Sky. She wouldn’t have chosen me as his mate if I wanted to go back to the city. I think I understand much more about the goddess than I ever have because of my life in Big Sky, my life with Colt.
We got dressed and packed up pretty quickly. Getting home is something both of us cannot wait to do. Levi was already in the lobby waiting for us. I bet he’s anxious to get home more than we are. I know from experience that the haze hitting when you’re alone is rough.
