****TRIGGER WARNING****
“If you knew the lengths that man would go to…”
Listening to my father tell me about what Colt has done, I heard the goddess’s words replay in my head.
He refused to hurt me again, he refused to live the rest of his life knowing he’d been with another woman, he refused to give in to the haze when I couldn’t be there with him.
He locked himself in a dungeon they haven’t used in years. He made sure no one knew he was there except trusted men who would bring food and water for him, though he hadn’t eaten anything the whole time. He had to make sure no one would open the cage for him when he began freaking out
“He needs a strong Luna now than ever before and probably ever again. He’s suffered immensely in just a couple of days. I’ve had to stop letting anyone else bring him anything because they were having a hard time seeing him this way.” my dad’s voice began cracking.
What have I done to my poor mate?
“He’s lasted six hazes in here Freya. One is enough to drive someone insane. Six is unheard of. He will attack you, this is where this is going to be hard.” my dad stopped me before he opened the door to the dungeon.
“Freya he’s not him right now, he will attack you, it will be painful, and I wouldn’t let you go in there if I didn’t think you could do this for him.” my dad, badass alpha Harland shed a tear. “Honey, I couldn’t ever wish this on my worst enemy, watching a friend and my daughter’s mate go through it has been difficult but I think your mate bond can save him.” he handed me a key and let me in.
He closed the door behind me. Thankfully there are lanterns so I can see. I walked down a hall of cages, then I found him. My heart broke. He’s half him, half Max and he’s bloody. There are claw marks all over the cage walls, there’s ripped up clothing, there’s bite marks on the bars.
He hasn’t noticed me yet, but my scent will fill the air quickly. I took a deep breath and tried to mentally prepare myself for what I was about to endure.
“If it gets too hard for you, give me control.” Stella told me as I brought the key up to the lock. I closed my eyes and turned the key. When I opened my eyes, he was right there in front of me, his mouth bloody and partially shifted to Max.
I let the cage door fall open and braced myself. Within seconds he had his partially shifted hand claws around my neck lifting me to the wall behind me.
I’m doing this for my mate. I’m doing this for my mate.
I had an idea, I didn’t actually think it would work but I felt I needed to try it.
“Colt, my love. It’s me, I’m back.” I said between breaths as his hands gripped around my throat.
As expected, the haze began to hit. Our hope is that when he takes me and releases the built up hazes that he’ll come out of this crazy storm.
Within seconds he shredded my clothes, and he dropped me on the floor. I turned to look up at him and he grabbed my hair and pulled me up, facing the wall. It hurt, he was not gentle about it.
He leaned down and licked my neck, I whispered to him, “I love you Colt. Do what you need to do. I’ll be okay.” I saw his eyes begin to glow.
He thrust into me from behind, at first it was painful, but after a moment it felt amazing. It felt just like it always has been with him. He was a little more on the rough side, but that leveled out after a few minutes.
“Freya…” I heard him speak, I looked back and saw him, my Colt was looking at me in tears.
He pulled out just long enough to turn me to face him and pick me up so I could wrap my legs around him, then he thrust into me again. Kissing me with more passion than I’ve felt from him yet.
“Colt!” I moaned loudly, knowing I was able to bring him back almost effortlessly made her words ring through my head again.
“You’ll bring out the best of him”
He sunk his teeth into my mark, the surge of emotion tore through us. I began crying, letting my head fall back to the wall as his head fell back like mine.
My whole body gave into his thrusts as my walls clenched down and pulsated around him, he released into me and howled, his body shaking.
He set me down, but didn’t let go of me, he put his forehead against mine and just breathed. I wrapped my hands around his neck and breathed with him waiting until his body stopped shaking. My haze was gone, but he’s pushed through six without any release.
After a few minutes of his body still shaking I whispered, “Do you need more?” as I rubbed my hands on the back of his neck.
“I can’t stop it baby, I’m trying.” he whispered, his voice cracking and his breathing getting more rapid.
I grabbed his face and made him look at me, “I’m yours Colt. Take me, as much as you need. I love you.” and immediately his lips crashed into mine and he picked me back up against the wall.
Three rounds later and his body slowly calmed down, it was still shaking, he still needed more, but he was okay enough to get to our room so I could get food into us and water.
“I’ll go all day and night with you baby, I can’t believe you went through that for me.” I said as we walked back.
Many people saw us and clearly were in shock he was walking around, but no one stopped us. When we walked past my parents, my dad smiled and nodded.
I can’t imagine that sending his daughter into a situation never faced before was easy, but I know him getting to see us walking around after that made him feel better about doing it.
