The Big Sky Alpha novel Chapter 57

FREYA POV

Kill her?

The thought of killing her had crossed my mind. We’re wolves after all, and she did try to take my mate. Granted, my mate was part of that problem, but the jealousy in me did want to see her dead.

On the other hand the loving side of me understands why she acted so crazy. Death doesn’t seem fair to that. Banishment maybe, she said the pack was her everything before.

I thought for a moment, “Is this negotiable?” I asked. The look on her face told me she wasn’t going to help if we didn’t agree to this.

She smiled, “She said you were smart.” she said shaking a finger toward me.

“So, one life for the fate of wolves. Sounds fair.” Colt said. I shot him a look and he shut up.

“I agree on the terms we get this spell cast to save our species.” I said. “I don’t like it, but a life for a life makes sense as a deal.”

She clapped her hands together, “Alright! I’ll get the other two over here and we’ll get started.”

It took about a half hour for the other two witches to get here. They looked just as young and beautiful as Belladonna, I guess in my mind witches should look like they do in the movies. I guess there is that teenage witch show, but that’s not the idea I have of witches.

“Wolves, meet Raven and Tabitha.” Belladonna introduced them.

Tabitha butted in, “Tabi please. Tabitha sounds like a grandma.” she said with an attitude.

“Hello. Thank you so much for helping us.” I said.

“Better than having wolves running savage.” Raven laughed,

Colt wouldn’t leave my side, very protective I can feel him getting uneasy.

“So, I’m new to all this spell casting stuff. What do we do?” he asked.

“First, we strip completely naked and dance around in body paint of your blood chanting around a fire.” Raven laughed and mocked dancing.

“Ignore her, she’s a smart a**.” Tabi said. “Do you have the spell?” she asked.

Eunice handed it to her and stepped back again. He’s been quiet, I’m wondering if seers don’t mix well with witches.

She looked over the spell then turned to Belladonna and said something to her in some language I didn’t understand. Colt answered back in the same language. It caught me off guard, I didn’t know he could speak other languages. They seemed impressed by it. They spoke back and forth for a moment then Colt turned to me and said, “She was concerned that the scroll says five witches so I told her that the goddess said we just need Belladonna and two others. Belladonna confirmed that so they’re okay to move on now.”

“I didn’t know you could speak another language.” I whispered to him.

He chuckled, “Four, but they’re all local languages for tribes.”

I’m impressed. Now that I really think about it, I don’t really know a whole lot about him. It’s been one chaotic thing after another, all I really know is I’m meant to be with him.

I think that needs to change. The time I should have spent getting to know him when I first got here I spent being a jacka** and judging him based on crap I heard instead of learning who he is myself.

Now I have to make this up. I’m about to have his child and the things I know about him are so minimal.

It took the witches about an hour to get everything ready. It’s late afternoon, hopefully we can hurry this up before a haze hits.

“I don’t mean to be a bother or hurry you up or anything, but how much longer do you think this will take?” I asked.

“Don’t like being around witches?” Tabi asked.

I laughed, “No nothing like that, it’s just getting to the point where a haze usually hits during the day.”

They looked at each other and said, “We’re ready.” in unison.

They drew the curtains so the room was dark and Tabi waved her hand and all the candles in the room ignited. They had a large bowl on a table between the three of them and they began asking for the ingredients.

The bones, the herbs, we used Max’s fur as the purebred Big Sky wolf, the ash of a white pine, a fang, the moon and star dust from the goddess, and last they cut mine and Colt’s palm to get the blood of the Luna and Alpha.

They each had a copy of the spell and they joined hands around the bowl and began chanting the spell, which was in a different language.

Eunice stepped back behind the wall into another room, which then made Colt stand in front of me. The candles began to flicker and it became windy, inside the house with no windows or doors open. Books began opening and their pages began flipping around like crazy. Their chanting got louder, faster, and stronger.

I could feel the haze beginning to hit, and it was immediately painful. I clenched my legs closed together and bit down on my lip. Eunice yelled out “Don’t fight the haze, it’s part of the spell! The spell won’t complete if you fight it!”

My parents stepped out into another room, Colt turned to me and picked me up. He kissed me and set me down on a side table in the same room as the witches. He let his member free and quickly slid into me. The intensity of this haze was brutal, but we had control. I leaned back on the table and let Colt take the lead.

He held my hips in place and increased his rhythm. I could feel Stella trying to come out of me. Colt threw his head back and his mouth partially shifted to Max as he howled, keeping his rhythm.

When he tilted his head back up he was all Colt again but his eyes were like lava. I could see on his face that my eyes were glowing too, but I couldn’t focus on that. I was close and though it was incredibly painful it felt so good I’ve never felt an orgasm like this, I could feel my whole body quaking. Colt was coming undone. He howled as he unloaded in me. I couldn’t handle the orgasm anymore, I howled with him and fell back against the wall. Colt grabbed me in one of his arms while he put himself away with the other.

I could see the witches over his shoulder. They each cut their hands and dripped their blood into the bowl and their eyes lit up as they continued chanting.

Colt sat me down, when I looked over to him his body went limp and he collapsed on the floor next to me. I went to see if he was okay and suddenly the room went black.
