The Big Sky Alpha novel Chapter 78

COLT POV

“Search all the grounds! This has to have just happened, I want everyone shifted and searching! They’re only pathetic humans! They can’t get that far that fast with her! Especially if she’s knocked out! Sniff her out and f*****g find her!” I growled.

Wolfsbane. I thought our ancestors successfully wiped that s**t out. As far as we know, we have the only crop of it. I shifted and let Max take over. When he finds them they’re going to be absolutely ripped to shreds!

He ran as fast as he could. They went down behind the pack house. I’m not sure how they even got to the pack house. I have people stationed all over. That is an issue I’ll deal with after I find her.

There’s vehicle tracks, a small vehicle maybe an atv of some sort. Max tracked her to a road. He lost her scent, so I’m assuming they put her in a large vehicle at this point. I can’t believe any of this right now.

Max ran as fast as he could back to the pack.

“I want every able bodied person in front of the pack house now!” I mind linked the pack.

Within a few minutes Max was coming up to the pack house and I quickly shifted taking back control. I walked in front of all of my pack and addressed them. copied from j;o;b;ni’b;c.om “The Crow have taken our Luna. They’ve broken into the pack house, into our room, drugged her, and some how managed to get away with her in a small vehicle until they got to the road and switched vehicles.” Growls rumbled all around.

Taking a Luna from a pack was a really bad choice. The Luna to a pack, especially warriors, is a symbol of hope, love, and strength. Once a pack has a Luna they’re devoted to her as much as they’re devoted to the alpha. S**t my father used to say the pack would die for him, but they’d kill armies for my mother. So, I guess you could say sometimes they’re more devoted to the Luna,

“I want our Luna back! I want my children back! I want our future alpha and a future strong Luna back!” I roared over the crowd and they’re accumulated howls told me they felt the same.

“Alpha” Ash called out to me from beside me. Eunice was standing next to him. “Eunice has had a vision about Freya.” I asked him to come to me to tell me of this vision.

“The goddess has shown me where she will be held.” He motioned to one of my gammas to bring a map and an extra paper with some kind of a drawing.

“The Crow territory is technically vast, but they only occupy a small percentage of it.” He said circling an area with his finger. “She will be in this area.” He pointed.

He grabbed the paper with a drawing. “From what I’ve gathered from my vision she will be taken directly to the chief and he plans to keep her held in a cage he had his people make that is covered in wolfsbane to keep her weak.”

He pointed at the drawing and walked me through what I was looking at. “The tribe is more technologically advanced than Big Sky, but most of what they have is made to prevent an attack by humans. You need to enter the ground from here. Once you’re in you will need to locate a large cabin with four small tree looking bushes outside of it. She’s in there being held in a room with no windows. That is as much as she’s allowed me to see.” He looked at me with sorrow in his eyes. “I’m sorry I can’t see more, I’m sorry I didn’t see this coming.”

I placed my hands on his shoulders, “My friend, you’ve done more for this pack in a short time than I could ever really thank you for. This is not your fault, and you’ve given us an in and what we’re looking for.” I looked up at my pack.

I directed myself towards them, “I do not know what we’re walking into. Grab your weapons, grab whatever you can bring in wolf form. We leave in 30!”

The warriors were ready to leave quickly. We all shifted and began running. I heard Jessi yell out to us, “You bring her home and kill that son of a b****!”

To get to the crow we have to run through Blackfoot territory. We have a truce with them that we do not wish to alter. It’s daylight out now. We ran direct to their chief. He graced us passage there and back but requested we do not allow the battles to cross over to his territory.

I agreed, relayed the message to the warriors and we left.

It was early afternoon when we made it to the edge of the crow territory. According to the map Eunice gave us with the location of their used land circled and a dot in the chief’s cabin, we still have a good 60 miles to go.

We came across a river, took a short break to refuel ourselves with food and water to make sure we’re not weakened when we get there and then we continued on our way.

I began thinking of how I wanted to kill this f****g chief. Do I rip his throat out? Do I tear him apart limb by limb? Do I disembowel him? I can’t decide. I just want my family back.

When we came up to the area the cabin is in we split up all around. We’re expecting this to happen with a fight.

As we began looking around we began taking fire of arrows. They were in the trees around us. Everyone split jobs. Half my warriors went up in the trees to rip these pathetic humans out of them and the ones on the ground were killing them.

After a minute a large group of the humans came in from two sides with large combat weapons.

The ground warriors of Big Sky began ripping through all they could, but anyone that was getting hit was slowly beginning to slow their movements. I quickly realized they’re being poisoned.

I mind linked the pack, “Don’t let their weapons touch you! They’re riddled with bane!”
