FREYA POV
I woke up in a bedroom. A weird looking bedroom. The wallpaper was different shades of green forming almost a flower shape over and over. The room was incredibly bright, it had a couple different lamps in it. Maybe it’s just because I’ve been away from electrical lighting for so long, but it was almost blinding.
The room had a regular size bed in it that has old school doilies sewn onto the pillows and a crocheted looking quilt on it that was bright colors. There was a chair and a table on it were magazines, i couldn’t see what they were but they looked old. The room had no windows, that was a big thing that caught my attention.
However, the biggest thing that caught my attention was that I’m sitting in a corner of the room with a chain around my ankle that’s connected to the wall and I’m locked inside a big metal cage.
I feel like I’ve drank a liquor store and have been out for days, just waking up and haven’t had a drop of water or any food. I’m weak, I’m thirsty, I’m starving, I’m nauseous, and my head is pounding. My vision is even a little blurry.
What the hell happened? I was just walking into my room. What is this place? I kept trying to think back to the last thing I remember.
I told Colt I was going to change and grab a snack, I walked into our room and then I remembered. There was a sting in my neck and then I couldn’t stand, I couldn’t speak, I tried to link Colt but I passed out. Then I remembered the hands. I felt hands on me.
Not just a set of hands, several hands. I can’t remember anything else. Who the hell has me? What are they going to do to me? My hands went straight to my belly, screw what they’ll do to me! What will they do with my babies?
I allowed panic to set in for a second and then I remembered I’m a Luna. I’m a powerful Luna.
I tried to use an ability, but I was much too weak. I tried to mind link but I must be too far away.
Before I could try anything else, the door flung open. In walked a man. He was a bit on the shorter side, but he was very muscular. Lightly dark skin, no hair, red tattoos all over his arms and head. He wore brown pants and a brown open front vest.
He was swaying as he walked and I immediately picked up a horrible scent of a sadly familiar alcohol, whiskey. He was drunk.
“You’re awake!” He slurred as he walked up to the cage I was in, smiling at me. Cocky little bastard was all I could think as he stood there with this smug smile on his face, one hand on the bars of the cage and the other on his lightly pushed out hip.
He looked like something I could eat for breakfast. This was a man?
“Are you ready to service your new master?” He stupidly chuckled, clearly thinking he was funny.
“Who exactly are you?” I asked. I feel no threat from this man, surely he intends to be one but he’s rather pathetic looking.
“Chief Red Scout of the Crow Clan. You service me now, Luna.” His disgusting smile made me want his neck between my teeth.
“So you’re the man who thinks Big Sky stole land from your people? Not going to lie, I expected more from you.” I said, trying my very best to get him in this f*****g cage so I could rip him apart. Even as weak as I felt, I knew I could handle him.
He stood straight, ish. He’s clearly quite wasted, even straight for him was a bit crooked. I could tell he was irritated, “You will show me respect b***h!” I just laughed.
He leaned over against the cage and whispered, “You know, you’ve been drugged. I ordered they fill you with wolfsbane so you were more cooperative. Frankly I have no clue what that stuff does but my ancestors stored a crop of it here years ago to slow down a wolf.” He stumbled sideways a little bit when his hands slipped off the cage bars.
He looked at me funny, I think he was maybe scolding me, or at least trying to, “I will continue to drug you into cooperation. Who knows what it will do to that mutt of yours.” He looked disgusted as he said that.
That did it, the need to kill this guy has grown immensely. He leaned up against the cage holding himself upright as he laughed. I slowly stepped over to him trying to not get his attention. I reached out and grabbed him smashing his face and body up against the cage. I did this twice, knocking him a bit more loopy than he already was.
“Big mistake you whore! I will make you pay for making me bleed!” He said as blood tricked down his face from his forehead, nose, and mouth.
He stumbled to the door and walked out slamming the door behind him. I think he might have fallen because I heard a little thud after he did that.
I decided to try to figure out a way out of here. I moved over every bar several times trying to find a weaker one, or see if I could break the bar. After a couple hours of probably over analyzing the bars I realized this cage was built for wolfs. And it stunk, I think it has bane on it or maybe it’s this room.
I can’t tell, but I have noticed that Stella isn’t there. I can’t shift, I can’t talk to her, I can barely feel her. I’ve tried to see her, and all I can really gather is her fur and a little bit of breathing so I think she’s awake.
I looked around the room trying to get some sort of idea for escape when I heard Colt’s voice. “Don’t let their weapons touch you! They’re riddled with bane!”
He came for me! He came for me and now they’re poisoning my pack with wolfsbane!
