Chapter 178
Leeanne was seriously eyeing the reward for catching Robin.
Apprentice 23 shot her a cold glance. “Bet Bob wants to go after you too.”

Leeanne paused. “Come on, don’t say that. Bob and I are on the same side now. I want to take Robin down myself.”
Apprentice 23 snorted. “Maybe Robin’s saying the same thing.”
Lecanne fell silent.
She really wanted Robin dead now. He was way too ruthless, always coming after her, and his luck never seemed to run out. Keeping him around was like having a ticking time bomb hanging over her head.
But she couldn’t even set foot on his raft. How was she supposed to kill him?
Leeanne was lost in thought when Little Blue fluttered over, chattering away. “Meat! Deer meat! Grilled deer meat!”
Leeanne looked up in surprise. “Did you two figure out how to split it?”
That was exactly what Little Blue and Snowy had been arguing about.
Snowy walked over. “Leeanne, hurry up and grill it! We already agreed. Half for each of us.”
Leeanne nodded, pulled out the grill, and laid out all the deer meat, placing each piece onto the rack one by one.
She chopped the ten pieces into big chunks and skewered them onto ten Jong metal rods, one chunk per skewer.
All the deer meat was strung up into ten massive skewers, and seriously, these things were huge. The grill was just barely big enough to handle them.
Little Blue and Snowy were both mythical beasts. If they really wanted, they could probably polish off a whole cow. This deer meat was just enough to leave them half full.
Before long, the deer meat was cooked, and the air was thick with the mouthwatering smell. It was even more tempting than any barbecue Leeanne had ever tasted. She couldn’t help but swallow hard.
Little Blue took a deep breath. “This smells incredible! After all the effort I put into taking down that little flying deer. Come on. I deserve seven pieces!”
Snowy snorted. “If I hadn’t helped you, that little flying deer would’ve stomped you flat. I did most of the work, and you still want seven pieces? Dream on!”
Little Blue shot back, “I could’ve killed it without you!”
Snowy retorted, “We agreed five pieces each. If you keep fussing, I’ll flip the table. You, huh, Fluffy?”
Fluffy, the little panda cub, had somehow waddled over without anyone noticing. He was tugging at Leeanne’s pant leg. making adorable noises and begging for attention.
Snowy said. “Fluffy wants some too!”
Little Blue shrieked, “No way! He’s not getting any!”
Fluffy had already climbed up to Leeanne’s waist, stretching out his chubby head to stare longingly at the grilled meat,

whimpering and cooing nonstop.
Leeanne understood what he wanted and patted him helplessly. “Little one, this is their catch, not mine to give. If you want some, you’ll have to ask them.”
Fluffy immediately slid down, rolled over to nuzzle Snowy, then rolled back to snuggle up to Little Blue, rolling back and forth like a big fluffy ball.
He kept making adorably pitiful sounds.
Snowy sighed. “Fine, let him have a little.”
Little Blue got nudged by Fluffy several times and, in a rare moment of generosity, finally gave in. “Alright, fine, let him have some. Otherwise, this fat ball is so weak he can’t even make it up a single step.”
Fluffy happily rolled around in circles, absolutely delighted.
The meat was finally done grilling, and the smell was even richer and more irresistible than before.
Suddenly, there was a soft “drip, drip” as a few drops of water hit the ground near the grill.
Leeanne glanced up. ‘Is it raining?‘
But when she turned her head, she spotted Apprentice 49 standing right next to the grill, practically drooling a river.
He swiped at his mouth, blushing hard.
Apprentice 23 rushed over, grabbed Apprentice 49 and dragged him back, whispering, “Shame on you! Stop drooling already. Why do you always crave everything? Do you know how rare that meat is?”
Apprentice 49 looked back over his shoulder, swiping at his mouth, his eyes practically begging for a taste.
Snowy said in a weak voice, “Maybe we should give him a piece. He looks so pitiful.”
Little Blue didn’t say anything.
They used to play together a lot. Once they got familiar, Apprentice 49 turned out to be pretty naive, honest, and easy to bully. Little Blue loved to mess with him.
Snowy was super sly, but Little Blue actually liked Apprentice 49, since he was so easy to bully.
The meat was done, so Leeanne put out the fire on the grill and called out, “Dig in, or it’ll get cold!”
Snowy grabbed a big skewer and waved at Apprentice 49, “Come here, this one’s yours.”
Apprentice 49’s eyes sparkled, and he rushed over like a rocket. “Seriously? Is it really for me?”
Apprentice 23 quickly grabbed him and turned to Leeanne. “Your two pets are already pretty advanced. If they split the meat, neither of them will be able to level up. They’ll only get a tiny boost, and it won’t make much of a difference. If you let one of them have it all, they’ll definitely level up.”
Leeanne glanced at Little Blue and Snowy.
Little Blue immediately protested, “No way!”
Snowy shook her head too.

Apprentice 23 turned to Little Blue and Snowy. “If you split the meat, you’ll still get a bit stronger…”
She pointed at Fluffy. “But if you share some with this little guy, neither of you will level up at all.”

Fluffy only understood a little, but he realized he wasn’t getting any meat. He buried his face in his paws and let out a sad whimper.
Little Blue, annoyed, flapped her wing at Fluffy. “Hey, fat ball, stop whining! You can have some!”
Snowy hesitated, glanced at Apprentice 49 who looked so hungry he could barely stand still, and finally handed him a kewer. Then she gave another one to Fluffy.
Now there were only eight skewers left, four for Snowy and four for Little Blue.
Apprentice 23 kept shaking her head. “If you split it up like this, none of you will get stronger. Using such precious flying deer meat just for a snack, what a waste.”
Fluffy had already devoured his skewer, licking his lips and then his paws, making sure not a single drop was left.
Leeanne asked curiously, “So that’s not enough?”
Apprentice 23 watched Apprentice 49, who was holding his skewer but hesitating to eat, sneaking glances and wiping drool rom his mouth.
She just couldn’t bring herself to take it away from him. With a sigh, she said, “Yeah, Snowy and Little Blue need ten skewers. o level up, and at least six for a slight boost. But for Apprentice 49 and Fluffy, just three skewers are enough to level them
ip.”
eeanne was surprised. “That much of a gap?”
Apprentice 23 replied, “Because their levels are so far apart!”
She snatched the skewer from Apprentice 49 and handed it to Leeanne. “Go ahead and split it up again. Give six to one, hree to the other. That way, at least one of them will get stronger.”
eeanne didn’t take it, just looked at Little Blue and Snowy. “They hunted the flying deer themselves. It’s their call how to livide it.”
Normally, Leeanne didn’t really boss her pets around.
Little Blue threw a fit. “What? One gets six, the other only three? That’s totally unfair! No way am I agreeing to that!”
she snatched up two more skewers and shoved them at Fluffy, who was still licking his lips and paws like crazy. “Here, take hem! Eat up and grow already. You’re such a helpless furball, always needing someone to carry you up and down the stairs.
So useless!
Fluffy didn’t care about Little Blue’s grumbling at all. He just grabbed the skewers and scarfed them down in the blink of an
After finishing, he sprawled out on his back and fell asleep right there.
Little Blue grabbed a skewer for herself and started eating slowly, grumbling as she went, “You useless furball!”
Apprentice 49 was quietly gnawing on his fingers, tears welling up in his eyes, looking absolutely pitiful.
Snowy picked up three skewers and handed them to him. “Alright, don’t cry. Go over there and eat.”

Apprentice 49 hesitated, not daring to take the skewers. He glanced at Apprentice 23, hoping she’d say it was okay.
Apprentice 23 frowned and looked at Leeanne. “If you split it up like this, neither of your pets will get any stronger. This deer meat is so precious, and you’re just letting them eat it for fun? What a waste.”
Lecanne smiled lightly. “Let them decide for themselves.”
Snowy stuffed the skewers into Apprentice 49’s hands. “It’s not some rare treat anyway. Come on, everyone dig in!”
