Leeanne was about to go wash up. It was already past two in the morning, and she was exhausted.

Apprentice 23 stopped her and handed her a bead. “This is a Treasure–Seeking Orb. Once Bob leaves Redbeak Island, you can head over and hunt for treasure. If all goes well, you’ll find something to power up your two spirit beasts.”

Leeanne was surprised. “Bob’s treasure? Didn’t they seal it off?”

Apprentice 23 cleared her throat. “There’s tons of treasure, and it’s not all Bob’s. Just make sure you go. Think of this as a gift for your two spirit beasts. Thanks for letting Apprentice 49 have the roasted deer meat.”

She pulled out a card. “Here, take this too!”

Leeanne took it, her eyes lighting up. “A Targeted Teleport Card? Perfect! Now I can go kill Robin!”

With this card, she could lock onto Robin’s raft and teleport right to him. She could either kill Robin or tie him up.

And then she’d get the reward.

Leeanne was itching to go, but Apprentice 23 stopped her. “I wouldn’t recommend going now. Just wait a bit.”

Leeanne looked puzzled. “Why?”

Apprentice 23 gave her a mysterious smile. “Because if you wait a little longer, Bob will up the reward!”

Leeanne blinked. “Huh?”

Apprentice 23 grinned. “Bob’s a total cheapskate. He’ll start with a tiny reward, but once no one finishes the mission, he’ll get desperate and raise the stakes. Trust me, I know him!”

Leeanne gave her a thumbs–up.

She’d totally go with Apprentice 23’s advice.

Right now, only non–player characters could get their hands on a Targeted Teleport Card, and she was the only one who could actually find Robin.

Apprentice 23 slept on the swing chair, and after washing up, Leeanne went to rest as well.

The next day, Leeanne headed to the mystical cherry grove, feeling refreshed and ready to go.

‘Looks like nothing special today. Guess I won’t be opening any chests,‘ Leeanne thought.

Leeanne stepped out of her room, ready to whip up some breakfast for everyone.

All those breakfast goodies she’d finally scored from chests were put to good use. She heated up some sandwiches, pancakes, and fried doughnuts, cooked up egg soup and millet risotto, and enjoyed a tasty meal with the little ones.

Honestly, after all the treasures Apprentice 23 gave her yesterday, she felt obligated to make sure Apprentice 49 ate well.

Apprentice 49 didn’t look any different, still as goofy as ever. But Apprentice 23 said he’d leveled up and was way stronger

now.

Leeanne couldn’t really see what was so impressive about him, but she did notice he could eat even more than before.

The panda cub rolled up from downstairs at breakneck speed, spinning like a little ball, up, down, up again, treating the stairs like its own personal slide.

Sometimes, it would launch itself off the second floor, land on the deck with a loud thud, bounce right back up, and zip upstairs again.

Leeanne tossed all the pots and dishes into the dishwasher, pulled out a bunch of baskets of strawberries, and put them on the table for the little ones.

Everyone could have some, and thankfully, she had plenty saved up.

Leeanne leaned back in the swing chair and pulled up the chat screen, hoping someone might have some news about Robin.
