The Double Drop Buff Surviving The Endless Ocean novel Chapter 179

Chapter 179

Chapter 179

Snowy gave Leeanne and Apprentice 23 each a skewer, and Little Blue didn’t stop her.

Leeanne and Apprentice 23 didn’t eat theirs.

65 voucher’s

Before long, the little ones had finished all the meat. Apprentice 49 had three skewers, Fluffy had three, and Little Blue and Snowy split two between them.

Sure enough, the two who ate didn’t feel anything and just went off to play nearby.

Fluffy was fast asleep, and Apprentice 49 yawned before flopping onto the swing chair.

Leeanne was about to go wash up. It was already past two in the morning, and she was exhausted.

Apprentice 23 stopped her and handed her a bead. This is a TreasureSeeking Orb. Once Bob leaves Redbeak Island, you can head over and hunt for treasure. If all goes well, you’ll find something to power up your two spirit beasts.

Leeanne was surprised. Bob’s treasure? Didn’t they seal it off?

Apprentice 23 cleared her throat. There’s tons of treasure, and it’s not all Bob’s. Just make sure you go. Think of this as a gift for your two spirit beasts. Thanks for letting Apprentice 49 have the roasted deer meat.

She pulled out a card. Here, take this too!

Leeanne took it, her eyes lighting up. A Targeted Teleport Card? Perfect! Now I can go kill Robin!

[Targeted Teleport Card: Pinpoint a location and teleport straight there.]

With this card, she could lock onto Robin’s raft and teleport right to him. She could either kill Robin or tie him up.

And then she’d get the reward.

Leeanne was itching to go, but Apprentice 23 stopped her. I wouldn’t recommend going now. Just wait a bit.

Leeanne looked puzzled. Why?

Apprentice 23 gave her a mysterious smile. Because if you wait a little longer, Bob will up the reward!

Leeanne blinked. Huh?

Apprentice 23 grinned. Bob’s a total cheapskate. He’ll start with a tiny reward, but once no one finishes the mission, he’ll get desperate and raise the stakes. Trust me, I know him!

Leeanne gave her a thumbsup.

She’d totally go with Apprentice 23’s advice.

Right now, only nonplayer characters could get their hands on a Targeted Teleport Card, and she was the only one who could actually find Robin.

Apprentice 23 slept on the swing chair, and after washing up, Leeanne went to rest as well.

The next day, Leeanne headed to the mystical cherry grove, feeling refreshed and ready to go.

(Mystical Cherry Grove’s Luck Boost Today: None!]

Looks like nothing special today. Guess I won’t be opening any chests,Leeanne thought.

Leeanne stepped out of her room, ready to whip up some breakfast for everyone.

All those breakfast goodies she’d finally scored from chests were put to good use. She heated up some sandwiches, pancakes, and fried doughnuts, cooked up egg soup and millet risotto, and enjoyed a tasty meal with the little ones.

Honestly, after all the treasures Apprentice 23 gave her yesterday, she felt obligated to make sure Apprentice 49 ate well.

Apprentice 49 didn’t look any different, still as goofy as ever. But Apprentice 23 said he’d leveled up and was way stronger

now.

Leeanne couldn’t really see what was so impressive about him, but she did notice he could eat even more than before.

The panda cub rolled up from downstairs at breakneck speed, spinning like a little ball, up, down, up again, treating the stairs like its own personal slide.

Sometimes, it would launch itself off the second floor, land on the deck with a loud thud, bounce right back up, and zip upstairs again.

Cool trick!Leeanne thought.

Leeanne relaxed, no need to worry about the little guy taking a tumble anymore.

Just like before, the panda cub clung to Leeanne’s clothes, pleading for strawberries with those adorable eyes.

Leeanne tossed all the pots and dishes into the dishwasher, pulled out a bunch of baskets of strawberries, and put them on the table for the little ones.

Everyone could have some, and thankfully, she had plenty saved up.

While Fluffy was munching on strawberries, Leeanne finally pulled up its profile.

[Panda Cub: Mutated, Tier 2. Skill: Lucky Star (Basic). Increases plant growth speed by 30% and boosts the growth rate of common animals by 30% within a onekilometer radius.]

What an awesome skill!Leeanne thought.

She couldn’t resist scooping Fluffy up for a big cuddle.

This little guy really is a true lucky star!Leeanne thought.

All the plants in her garden, plus her chickens and rabbits, were growing like crazy now.

After playing enough, the panda cub broke free from Leeanne’s hug, launched itself at Little Blue and Snowy, who were busy messing around with their remote control airship out on the deck.

Leeanne leaned back in the swing chair and pulled up the chat screen, hoping someone might have some news about Robin.

The messages scrolled by on the screen.

[Mr. Sullivan’s disciples are so lazy. You hardly ever run into them, and even if you do, you probably won’t learn anything Plus, there’s always a risk they’ll trash your place)

[I just ran into one. He wandered around for a bit and then left without saying a word. So sad.]

[Come on, you guys aren’t even that unlucky. Think about Apprentice 8 and Apprentice 9! Hahaha, Robin’s the real loser here!]

[Haha, reminds me of that Shoddy Craftsmanship and Misfortune Curse!]

[Robin totally had it coming. I used to feel bad for him, but now? Screw him!]

Robin: [Oh, you hate me? Come at me if you’ve got the guts!]

Robin: [A bunch of losers!]

Emmett: [Man, look at Robin acting all high and mighty now. He’s nothing like he used to be!]

Spike: [Guess he’s finally showing his true colors, huh?]

Robin: [Spike, stop yapping. If you’ve got the guts, come kill me!]

Spike: [Go ahead, try to summon me if you’re so tough!]

Max; [Boss, don’t summon anyone. If you do, they’ll just bring even more people to hunt you down!]

Ellery: [Look at Max being smart for once!]

Apprentice 8 just kicked off their journey!]

Apprentice 9 is on the move too!]

Spike: [Haha, Apprentice 8 and Apprentice 9 are coming for Robin again! Robin, you gonna roll out the red carpet or what?]

Robin: [Haha! Think you can make them show up again?]

Leeanne: [Oh, I can. Want to find out?]

Robin: [Leeanne, this has nothing to do with you. Shut up!]

ceanne: [I can make Apprentice 8 and Apprentice 9 board your raft. Don’t believe me?]

Robin: [I don’t!)

ceanne: [Care to bet on it?]

Robin: [Not a chance!)

Spike: [Haha, what a coward. Just as expected! Got the guts to bet for once?]

Robin kept quiet.

Spike: [Look at you, Robin. The second Leeanne shows up, you don’t even dare to bet. Weren’t you acting tough just a minute ago?)

Everyone else was confused 100.

[Why isn’t Robin betting? If it were me, I’d totally take Leeanne up on it. Apprentice 8 and Apprentice already went to Robin’s raft. No way they’d go again.]

[Impossible? Not with Leeanne in the game!]

Man, Robin’s playing it super safe.]

Well. He’s been screwed over more than once. Of course he’s careful. Honestly, he’s just plain scared of Leeanne.]

Total wimp! Can’t even take a bet!]

Robin replied coldly, [I’m not taking the bait. No way I’m betting!]

Leeanne sprawled out on her lazy couch, squinting. [Robin’s being super cautious. If he won’t bet, how am I supposed to inish my quest?]

She still remembered the sevenday bet quest. If she could make a second wager, she’d score another raft evaluation sheet.

But Robin just wouldn’t bite, and nobody else was gonna bet with her either. She was starting to think this quest was doomed.

Apprentice 23 walked over. Apprentice 8 and Apprentice 9 are coming.

Leeanne stood up, instantly on guard. Coming where?

Apprentice 23 replied, Here, to your raft!

Leeanne shot to her feet. I really don’t want to host them!

9

Apprentice 8 and Apprentice 9 gave Robin such a rough time, and judging by the skills they taught, one you could tell these two were seriously tough to handle.

تر

Leeanne didn’t want to learn Misfortune Curse or Substitution Trick, and she definitely didn’t want to learn Shoddy Craftsmanship.

Apprentice 23 sighed. They both really like Apprentice 49. When they heard he leveled up, they just had to drop by and check him out. With me around, they won’t give you any trouble.”

After a pause, Apprentice 23 added, You don’t even have to worry about their meals. I’ll make sure they leave right after they see Apprentice 49.

Leeanne replied, Alright!

Apprentice 23 sounded so confident, so Leeanne decided to take her word for it this time.

Anyway, if the nonplayer characters were dead set on coming, there was no way she could chase them off, even if she wanted to.

Soon enough, a little boat pulled up. Apprentice 8 and Apprentice 9 waved excitedly. Apprentice 23, Apprentice 49, we’re

here!
