The Double Drop Buff Surviving The Endless Ocean novel Chapter 200

Chapter 200

Leeanne quickly divided the Antidote Powder into two portions. She dissolved one in water, picked up the wooden bowl, and went to find Snowy.

Right then. Little Seal was stuck under Snowy’s butt, wailing nonstop.

Snowy was riding on it, grumpily smacking it. Yah. Yah. Little Scal, why are you slacking off? Hurry up and fly.

Little Seal whimpered, I can’t.

Snowy huffed, If you don’t, I’ll eat you!

Little Seal started bawling in terror and looked desperately to Leeanne for help.

Leeanne walked over and tried to get Snowy to take the medicine, but Snowy was out of control and flatout refused.

Leeanne called Little Blue over to help hold Snowy down. She grabbed the wooden bowl, pried Snowy’s mouth open, and dumped the medicine in all at once.

Little Blue pressed down so hard that Little Seal was squished like a pancake, crying the whole time.

Finally, Snowy finished the medicine. Leeanne tossed aside the wooden bowl, grabbed the other half of the Antidote Powder, and smeared it onto Snowy’s wound.

Snowy kept struggling, and Little Seal kept wailing. Little Blue kept barking orders, cursing at Snowy for a bit, then kicking

Little Seal.

It was chaos.

Leeanne was drenched in sweat from the stress.

Finally, in the midst of all that mayhem, she managed to get the Antidote Powder on Snowy.

Snowy shut its eyes and went limp, slumping right into Leeanne’s arms.

Leeanne laid Snowy down on the swing chair. When she saw Snowy’s breathing was steady and its wound was slowly turning fresh red, she could finally relax.

Finally, the antidote worked.

With the poison gone, Leeanne finally breathed easy for real.

She was so wiped out that she flopped onto the swing chair and rested for ages. Once she finally caught her breath, she pulled out the Dragon Wall Hot Spring Core Orb.

She kept staring at it, not having a clue how to get the spring to flow.

Leeanne glanced at the sun. She still had a bit of time left, so she decided to go to the Dragon Wall Hot Spring and check it

out.

Little Seal crawled over, whimpering, Shrimp. Shrimp.

That’s when Leeanne realized she’d been so busy making the Antidote Powder that she totally forgot to give Little Seal its Blue Phosphorus Shrimp.

She grabbed three Blue Phosphorus Shrimp and tossed them to Little Seal. Didn’t you go back to get me a treasure?

Where’s the treasure?

Little Seal scarfed down the Blue Phosphorus Shrimp in a few bites. Already gave it. My friend.

Leeanne raised an eyebrow. You’ve got friends? Who are they?

Little Seal paused, looking thoughtful.

Leeanne patted its chubby head. Alright, I gotta go. Tell me all about your friends when I get back.

She needed to hurry over to the Dragon Wall Hot Spring.

With Snowy recovering, Leeanne only brought Little Blue with her. One girl and one bird quickly reached the mountaintop. Leeanne grabbed the rope and slid down again, gazing at the Dragon Wall Hot Spring.

Now, there wasn’t a single drop of water inside, just a bunch of pebbles in all shapes and colors scattered around.

Leearne hopped down and carefully searched every nook and cranny. In a shadowy corner, she spotted a cave entrance, and a nasty, fishy smell drifted out.

This has to be the Red Phosphorus Python’s lair, thought Leeanne.

She grabbed a torch, wrapped a cloth around her nose, and headed in.

The cave was damp and reeked to high heaven. The slope was steep and slippery as ice, and Leeanne nearly slipped several times.

She thought to herself, Makes sense. There’s barely any space up there, so the cave has to go down!

She jumped down and landed in a stone chamber.

The chamber was massive, but so slick and empty, not even a pebble in sight. She couldn’t figure out how to get the hot spring core working.

Leeanne finally managed to crawl back up and stood at the bottom of the pool, zoning out.

Wait, was this cave full of water before? That can’t be right. The Red Phosphorus Python couldn’t have been living underwater all the time, could it?she wondered.

After racking her brain for ages and still coming up empty, Leeanne circled the pool again and ended up next to the stone dragon.

The stone dragon looked almost alive. Its whole body was carved from rock, but its eyes were emerald green, sparkling like jewels.

Leeanne looked down at its open mouth.

Wait, isn’t there something missing inside? That’s right. It is the Dragon Wall Hot Spring Core Orb, Leeanne realized.

Leeanne took out the orb and carefully set it into the stone dragon’s mouth.

With a snap, the Dragon Wall Hot Spring Core Orb locked right in place. The dragon’s emerald eyes glinted mysteriously. Suddenly, hot spring water gushed out from its mouth.

The water nearly sprayed Leeanne’s feet, so she jumped aside just in time.

The water poured onto the pool floor, and the pool started filling up fast.

And the water even started pouring into the stone cave from earlier.

Oh, no, that’s not good. Leeanne panicked.

She snatched the Dragon Wall Hot Spring Core Orb out of the stone dragon’s mouth.

As soon as the orb was out, the water stopped flowing. The water stayed in the pool, not vanishing at all.

Earlier, when the Red Phosphorus Python took the orb out, the water vanished completely.

Wait, did it actually drink all the water?Leeanne thought, a bit stunned.

Leeanne furrowed her brow and tried putting the Dragon Wall Hot Spring Core Orb back into the stone dragon’s mouth a few more times. After repeating the process, she finally figured out how it worked.

She thought, Maybe this dragon has some kind of energy that powers Dragon Wall Hot Spring Core Orb.

If that’s the case, all I need to do is take the stone dragon with me.

The stone dragon was about ten to twelve feet long, but with her newfound strength, Leeanne easily lifted it into her arms.

She stashed the stone dragon in her backpack, then picked up a few pretty pebbles for good measure.

Seeing the sun was about to set, and not wanting to spend the night on the island, she hurried down the mountain.

The island got pretty dangerous at night, so she figured she’d return tomorrow.

Leeanne raced all the way back to the wooden boat.

By the time she got there, the sun had already set, and the world was washed in dusky gold.

Callum sent her a private message: [Hey, Leeanne, wanna team up with us tonight?]

Leeanne blinked in surprise. [Wait, you guys are still going out exploring after dark?]

Callum: [Yeah, Bailey says time’s tight. We barely found anything today, so we gotta push through tonight. We can pull an allnighter if we have to.]

Leeanne was silent.

She thought, Dang, they’re even more hardcore than me.

Guess I finally ran into the real overachiever boss.

No wonder Bailey’s got all those buffs. She’s always hustling.

Leeanne: [Nah, I’m heading back to the wooden boat to crash. I’ll come back first thing in the morning. There are a ton of wild beasts out at night, so stay safe out there.]

Callum: [Thanks.]

Leeanne climbed onto the wooden boat.

She decided to set up her own little hot spring.

Today, she’d battled the porcupine and then the Red Phosphorus Python. Each fight was a nightmare, and she barely made it out alive when she took down the python.

She was exhausted, body and soul.

She was dying for a soak in the hot spring.

Before heading to the Dragon Wall Hot Spring, Leeanne had handed Maeve some porcupine and snake meat. By the time she returned, Maeve had finished cooking.

Maeve simmered a big pot of meat stew. When Little Blue started whining for grilled skewers, she went ahead and roasted some up, too.

Once the food was served, everyone dug in and ate to their heart’s content.

Maeve exclaimed in delight, I just gained a bit of Constitution!

Leeanne didn’t notice any change. She thought about it and guessed it must be because her level was higher.

So eating porcupine meat didn’t help her at all. She’d have to eat the Red Phosphorus Python’s meat to get any benefit.

After dinner, Leeanne tossed the dishes into the dishwasher and flopped onto the beanbag chair for a few minutes of rest.

Soon enough, she got back

  1. up.

She had a pretty good idea about the hot spring now.
