Chapter 201

Using Free Build mode, Leeanne put together two big wooden tubs.

They were square.

Inside, she built two round steps so she could sit and relax.

One tub stood about 30 inches tall, and each side was 15 feet long.

The other was about 20 inches high, with sides stretching 20 feet.

Leeanne set them up by the raft, keeping the two tubs a good distance apart.

Then she placed the stone dragon on top of the tub and dropped in the Dragon Wall Hot Spring Core Orb. Instantly, water flowed out and filled the larger tub.

Seeing Leeanne tinkering around, Little Blue and Fluffy came running over to see what was up.

When the hot spring water started flowing, Little Blue realized what it was for.

It flapped its wings in excitement, ready to dive right into the big tub.

Leeanne quickly grabbed it. “Easy there, that side’s yours.”

She made two tubs so Little Blue and Fluffy wouldn’t stir things up while everyone was soaking.

The smaller, shorter tub was for them, and the big one was for her and Maeve.

Soon, both tubs filled up, and the stone dragon kept gushing out spring water, but somehow, the water never overflowed.

Leeanne set the stone dragon on the big tub. “They say it can purify the water?‘ she wondered.

Leeanne had no clue how the water was circulating, but the stone dragon kept pouring out water, and the tub never overflowed.

Once the tubs were full, Little Blue and Fluffy jumped into the smaller one, splashing around and having a blast. Even the little seal couldn’t resist and crawled in.

But Little Blue quickly chased it away.

Leeanne was wiped out and decided to take a bath.

Maeve was too nervous to try the hot spring, so she brought over a wooden basin, filled it with water, and settled for soaking her feet instead.

Leeanne took her time washing up, and it was over an hour before she finally came out.

She lounged in her loungewear, slumping into a chair, and called out lazily, “Viney, fetch me all the unopened chests.”

Viney replied sweetly, “Yes, Master.”

With a series of thuds, several chests were set down in front of Leeanne.

Today’s luck boost was Fortune’s Favor, giving her three chances, but she’d used them all up.

Chapter 201

Leeanne didn’t expect to find anything special.

She casually opened the chest.

[Opened wooden chest and got a stylish swimsuit.]

A swimsuit?‘ Leeanne thought, her eyes lighting up.

She couldn’t wait to pull it out and check it out.

[Swimsuit: Yep, you see it, just a regular swimsuit. Great for striking a pose by the shore with the water barely at your ankles and snapping some pics. Looking for special stats? Dream on!]

Leeanne was silent.

‘Dang that was savage,‘ she thought.

Honestly, she’d been hoping for a swimsuit she could use for some underwater adventure, maybe with a bonus to speed or something.

Leeanne thought, ‘Seriously? This is a regular beach swimsuit.

‘Still, it is gorgeous, a dreamy purple with big butterfly patterns, a V–neck, and ruffled sleeves that fluttered. Definitely Insta- worthy.

Wait, I can wear this in the hot spring.

She’d planned to wear shorts and a T–shirt to soak in the hot spring, but now that she had a swimsuit, it actually looked the

part.

‘Pretty nice, Leeanne thought to herself.

With a satisfied grin, she tucked the swimsuit into her backpack.

She grabbed the next chest.

[Opened the wooden chest and got 3 boxes of chips.]

Leeanne sighed. ‘Guess today’s a snack fest. Sweet! More snack options for me now, especially chips, my all–time fave!’

‘Apples? Nice,’ Leeanne thought. She remembered the apple Robin had given her that boosted her Constitution by 1. She’d eaten it, planted the core, and now the tree in her mystical cherry grove was already as tall as she was.

She still had no idea if the fruit it would bear would be regular apples or the kind that boosted Constitution.

These are definitely regular apples, she thought. ‘I’ll eat them up and plant the cores, too.

There were two more wooden chests left. ‘Might as well open them all at once!‘ she thought.

[Opened the wooden chest and got a bag of bread rolls.]

Chapter 201

Maeve’s teeth were straight and strong.

She had to avoid sweets, but could eat pretty much everything else.

Leeanne called out over her shoulder, “Grandma, come on, time to eat.”

Maeve came over cheerfully and placed all the snacks into a wooden chest.

After cracking open all the chests, Leeanne could finally kick back and chill.

Leeanne changed into her new swimsuit and soaked in the hot spring, feeling so comfy that she could melt. ‘Man, this is the life. All that hustle and risk today really paid off, she thought, content.

Maeve sat right next to her, soaking her feet. Since she wasn’t as young anymore, she’d need to wait until she felt stronger before she could enjoy the hot spring herself.

Leeanne chatted with Maeve for a while, then casually opened up the chat window. She wanted to check out what loot everyone else had scored.

The chat was as lively as ever.

[It’s been a whole day. Are there still folks who haven’t made it to an island yet?] someone asked.

[From what I’ve seen, about two–thirds of us have landed. Some made it on their own, and some used a recruitment order,] another player chimed in.

[I’ve got a recruitment order. If anyone’s got a resource–rich island, let me join. I’ll owe you big time,] someone posted.

[Resource–rich island? Dream on! Those are always shared with friends anyway,] came the reply.

[What’s a resource–rich island, anyway?] someone asked.

[A resource–rich island means there’s plenty of resources. The place is huge, and the beasts aren’t too many or too few. Most of them are Tier 3, with Tier 4 at most. It’s safe and makes gathering stuff way easier,] another player explained.

[Yeah, I saw some folks end up on a tiny island, just 10 thousand square feet, with nothing but chickens, snakes, and bunnies. Poor guys,] someone else chimed in.

Bailey: [Our island’s pretty nice. The beasts are mostly level 3 or 4. There are tons of plants and trees, and we even found some fruit that tastes amazing. Dad and I spent half the day exploring, and we’ve barely covered a tenth of the place.]

The guy who kept begging to get on an island quickly asked, [For real? Can you take me with you?]

Bailey ignored him and just said, [We even ran into Leeanne. She’s my idol!]

The chat went wild after that.

[Wait, Leeanne Dillion’s there, too? That’s gotta be a great spot,] someone exclaimed.

[Yeah, Leeanne always scores big whenever she lands somewhere. Her luck’s insane. Every island she gets is pretty great,] another player chimed in.

[Bailey, can you invite me to your island? Tell me what you want, and I’ll trade anything.] someone begged.

Chapter 201

Suddenly, the chat was flooded with people begging Bailey to bring them onto the island.

Emmett: [For real? Leeanne, you’re out here getting rich and didn’t hook your old friends up? Count me in.]

Danelle: [Me, too.]

Rodger: [Take me, take me.]

Spike: [Same here.]

Ellery: [Same here.]

Gideon: [Yeah, same here.]

But after that, the excitement in the chat fizzled out.

[Man, if Rodger, Danelle, and Gideon all pile in, that island’s gonna be stripped bare. Not even a blade of grass is left. No way I’m going. There’s zero chance to score any good loot,] someone grumbled.

[Yeah, I’m out, too. Gideon’s a maniac. What if he decides to take me out just because he doesn’t like me?] another player chimed in.

[Seriously, the Spangler family already has five people. I’m not going either,] someone else complained.

More people meant more competition for resources. If there were already seven or eight folks on an island, anyone else using a recruitment order to join would be wasting it. It was not a good deal at all.

Now, the rules had changed. Regardless of day or night, one could only stay on the island for 24 hours. After that, one’d get sent back to one’s raft and couldn’t ever return to that island.

Normally, an island would allow two groups to land naturally.

But if those two groups started recruiting more players, there was no cap. Even if they brought in a thousand or two, it was totally allowed.

So, some people who couldn’t find an island would promise all kinds of rewards to get someone already on an island to invite them over.

If one knew the person, that was one thing, but if one didn’t, one could easily get played.

If the island had nothing left, all one could do was chop wood or dig around in the dirt.

The worst luck was ending up on a tiny island with not even a single tree left, just digging in the dirt.

So with the five Spangler family members, plus Gideon and Emmett, that made seven people. These seven were the real powerhouses, always the ones who snatched up all the best loot.

No matter how big the island was, there was zero chance for anyone else to score anything good, so everyone backed off.

Leeanne dropped a message in the Assault Squad group chat. [You guys are seriously thinking of coming over?]

Danelle: [Just messing with you. We were worried your place would be packed and there wouldn’t be enough stuff for everyone.]

Rodger: [Nah, we’re already on an island ourselves. It’s pretty decent. We’re gonna keep checking it out tomorrow.]
