Leeanne glanced back, but the kitten was nowhere to be found.

She didn’t think much of it. After packing up her things, she got ready to head to the next spot to search for Blackstone Date.
Unfortunately, it had been thirty minutes since Little Blue had grown bigger, and now it was back to its normal size. It couldn’t transform again just yet, but it assured her, “It won’t be long before I can do it again.”
The cooldown for its transformation wasn’t long.
Leeanne had no choice but to walk. Luckily, the two places were pretty close to each other. She took another path and started walking along it.
She realized the next spot wasn’t far, but it was up a mountain.
Leeanne found herself climbing uphill.
Luckily, there was a trail leading up.
There were stone steps carved into the mountain. One wouldn’t usually encounter any wild animals here, but one could pick some wildflowers and grass along the path.
If one wanted to take in the scenery, it was perfectly safe.
But if one wanted to get their hands on the good stuff, one’d have to leave the trail. That’s when things got risky.
As she climbed higher, Leeanne found herself facing a cliff that soared straight up into the clouds.
There was a moon–shaped archway carved into the stone, set right along the mountain path.
Now, Little Blue couldn’t carry her by flying.
Which meant, to get to the Blackstone Date, she had to pass through the moon archway.
Right as Leeanne was about to cross over, a wolf appeared out of nowhere in the moon archway. It was a Tier 4 Gray Wolf, baring its teeth at her and letting out a loud snarl before charging straight at her.
Leeanne quickly stepped back, pulled out her Spirit Serpent Whip, and snapped it at the Tier 4 Gray Wolf.
The wolf let out a pained yelp.
Just then, Little Blue unleashed its Rapid Claw Strike.
Leeanne finished off the Tier 4 beast in seven or eight minutes.
After killing the wolf and harvesting its remains, she was about to move on.
Suddenly, with another howl, another Tier 4 Gray Wolf appeared.
Leeanne took it down, but another one respawned right after.
She’d taken out seven or eight wolves and was starting to feel exhausted, but the wolves kept coming. Sometimes, it was even
two at once.

Thankfully, with Little Blue backing her up and her own strength, Leeanne could handle it. Anyone else would have been overwhelmed.
Leeanne was silent.
‘Wait, is the moon archway actually a respawn point? Isn’t this just a roadblock?‘ Leeanne wondered.
She wanted to rush through, but Tier 4 beasts weren’t something she could take down in seconds. It always took her a few minutes to deal with each one.
The Gray Wolf was guarding the moon archway like a boss monster, making it feel impossible to get past.
“This is such a headache,‘ Leeanne thought to herself.
Every time she finished off one wolf, another would spawn instantly. She didn’t even get a second to catch her breath.
Leeanne was sweating bullets.
Just as the Gray Wolf was about to go down, Leeanne gave Little Blue a quick signal, and she unleashed a Quicksand Trap.
The wolf was battered and bruised, howling helplessly in rage.
Leeanne curled her finger at it, taunting.
With one eye blind, the wolf let out a furious roar and charged straight at her, only to fall right into the Quicksand Trap.
Even though it was a Tier 4 beast, with one eye blind, a limping leg, and wounds all over its body, it was barely hanging on. There was no way it could break free from the Quicksand Trap now.
It howled frantically, thrashing around, but the harder it struggled, the deeper it got stuck.
Now, all that was left above the surface was its head.
“Alright, let’s go!” Leeanne waved at Little Blue, hopped right over the Quicksand Trap and the wolf, and slipped through the moon archway.
The wolf was still alive, and since the next wave hadn’t spawned yet, Leeanne slipped through just in time.
Leeanne let out a sigh of relief and glanced back. Through the moon archway, she spotted the white kitten perched on a branch, staring blankly at her.
Leeanne could see utter astonishment in its amber eyes.
Leeanne thought, “Tsk, this kitten’s face is so expressive.
“Wait, is it tagging along after me?
‘Why is this little thing so attached to me?‘
Leeanne suddenly had a thought. She beckoned to the kitten, grinning, “Hey, greedy kitty, do you know where the
Blackstone Dates are?”
The kitten gave a proud little “Meow.” “Why should I tell you?”
Leeanne rolled her eyes. “Whatever, suit yourself.”

She moved ahead with Little Blue, thinking, ‘This place is huge, but whatever. I’ll scan the whole area and see what turns up.‘
“Meow…” the kitten called out from behind her. “I can tell you, but you gotta give me something in return…”
“Over here, Leeanne. I found the Blackstone Dates!” Little Blue cried out excitedly.
Little Blue zipped ahead, reaching the cliff first. It was circling above the edge, waiting for her.
Leeanne rushed over, but all she found on the cliff was some wild
grass.
Little Blue swooped to the edge. “Leeanne, take a look down. Look down!”
Leeanne stood at the edge and peered down, spotting a patch of green below.
‘I still can’t see it, Leeanne thought, annoyed.
Little Blue started to panic and spread its wings, instantly growing bigger.
It hovered at the edge of the cliff and yelled to Leeanne, “Get on, hurry!”
The kitten had been following behind, but when it saw Little Blue transform, it stopped dead in its tracks, staring at Leeanne and then at Little Blue, dumbfounded.
Leeanne had hopped onto Little Blue’s back. With a swift dive, Little Blue carried her down the cliff a little.
On the sheer cliff, a plant was growing straight out of the stone wall.
It stood about three feet tall, its leaves thick and vibrant green.
Little Blue hovered beside the plant, and Leeanne moved closer to inspect it.
[Blackstone Date: Spiritual fruit. Eating one increases Constitution by 2 points. One is enough. Having more won’t help!]
That’s it!‘ Leeanne thought, her heart pounding with excitement.
But where’s the fruit?‘ she wondered, peering around the plant.
She had Little Blue hover right next to the Blackstone Date plant. After gently parting the leaves, she finally spotted a fruit about the size of a date, colored a deep purple–brown.
That’s the fruit, Leeanne thought, her heart racing.
She picked one and tossed it into her backpack, then kept digging through the thick leaves, searching for more Blackstone
Dates.
After searching for ages and turning the plant inside out, she only managed to find five Blackstone Dates.
No matter how much she poked around, there wasn’t a sixth one anywhere.
‘Alright, that’ll do, Leeanne thought, deciding to call it quits.
Leeanne pulled out her iron shovel.
Little Blue was getting frantic. “Can you hurry up? I can’t keep this up much longer, come on!”
Leeanne retorted, “Why are you freaking out?”
