When Leeanne spotted the Lunara Blossom, she instinctively covered her nose and mouth.
Mila gently touched the Lunara Blossom. “I really love this flower. Don’t worry, as long as I wear it, it won’t bother you at all.”
Leeanne let go of her nose and mouth. Sure enough, she could only catch a light fragrance–no dizziness at all.
Leeanne suddenly thought, “Mila, would you stay on my raft tonight?”
Mila snorted. “Alright, just for this flower, I’ll crash on your raft tonight. But I’m sleeping, so don’t expect me to babysit your
raft.”
Leeanne couldn’t help but chuckle. She wasn’t asking the mermaid to play security guard. She just wanted to observe her. see if she’d turn into some late–night phantom and go on a killing spree.
She answered immediately, “No problem. I’ll handle the night watch myself!”
The mermaid wasn’t really into hanging out with humans, but she quickly joined the Little Seal, Ryan, Little Blue, and the rest of the gang. The bunch were having a blast–sometimes surfing, sometimes racing the remote–controlled speedboat, sometimes just hitting the swings.
The feisty mermaid girl actually mellowed out a lot when she was around the little critters.
Leeanne was just chilling when it hit her that today was a double bonus day, and she still hadn’t opened her chests.
Since no more chests would show up after 6 PM, today’s haul was pretty much set.
There were six chests.
Leeanne had the sea demon vine drag the chests over, then flopped onto her beanbag chair and got to cracking them open.
‘Double bonus day!‘ Leeanne grinned to herself.
[Opened a wooden chest. Thanks to today’s double bonus day luck, scored 2 white ox horn combs.]
‘Combs?‘ Leeanne thought, surprised.
She was genuinely delighted.
This was exactly what she needed. Sure, there was a comb in the bathroom, but it was nothing special–definitely not as good as an ox horn comb.
She took one out and gave it a look. The ox horn comb was pure white, smooth and glossy. Just seeing it, she knew it’d be amazing to use.
She set the ox horn comb aside and grabbed the next chest.
[Opened a wooden chest. Thanks to today’s double bonus day luck, scored 2 packs of hair accessories.}
‘Well, I guess I could use those, Leeanne thought. ‘I do need hair ties for my ponytail every day. Seriously, is today turning into a haircare loot spree? Nope, I really don’t need this stuff.
Her hair was already silky smooth and super easy to deal with. She didn’t need all this random junk.
‘Please, don’t let my double bonus day go to waste on this! Leeanne hoped.

Chapter 278
[Opened a wooden chest. Thanks to today’s double bonus day luck, scored 2 curling irons.]
Leeanne let out a sigh. ‘Great, more stuff I don’t need. Might as well dump them in the trading hall and let someone else snag them. Keep opening!”
[Opened a wooden chest. Thanks to today’s double bonus day luck, scored 2 full–length mirrors.]
‘Nice, I can hang one up. Grandma’s been wanting a mirror forever, Leeanne mused. ‘One for grandma, one for the trading hall!‘
Leeanne just sighed. She really wasn’t into all this flashy, useless stuff.
‘Guess today’s just a showcase for useless loot,’ she thought.
[Opened a wooden chest. Thanks to today’s double bonus day luck, scored 2 mermaid transformation whistles.]
‘Hmm, this might actually be something good,‘ Leeanne thought.
She took out the whistle and checked it out.
It was about the size of a finger, shaped like a tiny mermaid, entirely blue, with a ribbon so it could be worn around the neck,
‘Looks just like a kid’s toy,‘ she thought.
[Mermaid Transformation Whistle: Blow the whistle and you’ll turn into a mermaid. You only get the appearance and the ability to survive underwater–no special abilities or combat power. Lasts for half an hour.]
‘Isn’t this just a toy?‘ Leeanne thought. ‘Still, maybe being a mermaid means I can swim more freely underwater.
‘It only lasts half an hour… Can I just blow it again after it expires? Kind of useless. Better keep it, just in case it comes in handy someday. Keep opening chests!‘
[Opened a wooden chest. Thanks to today’s double bonus day luck, scored 2 mermaid transformation whistles.]
‘Another one?‘ Leeanne thought.
She opened it up and saw this one was yellow.
‘Guess they come in different colors. Looks even more like a kid’s toy now,‘ she thought.
With all the chests opened, Leeanne found herself with nothing to do. She rested her chin in her hand, watching Mila, Snowy, and Little Blue having fun together.
Mila was clearly enjoying herself. ‘Guess none of them are actually human,‘ Leeanne thought.
Meanwhile, players in the chat were getting restless. ‘Everyone’s got their Lunara Blossoms, so why hasn’t the mermaid shown up yet?‘ people complained.
‘Do we really have to wait for the midnight phantom to start killing people before something happens? someone else griped.
Liam said: [Anyone willing to trade me a Lunara Blossom for some gear?]
Someone asked, confused, [Hey Liam, didn’t you go to Lunara Isle? How come you didn’t pick even one Lumaru Blossom? Everyone else has a bunch.]

Chapter 278
Valentine said: [He spent an hour singing “The Painter‘ song…]
Emmett said: [Listen to him, his voice is totally gone.]
Liam said: [Quit messing around. Who’s selling Lunara Blossoms?]
Bailey said: [Me.]
Someone said: [I’ve already put a bunch of Lunara Blossoms at the bow of my raft, but the wicked mermaid still hasn’t shown up. What’s the deal?]
Valentine said: [Got enough people with you?]
The person replied, [Plenty! Who goes solo these days? I’ve got a whole crew here. We’re just waiting for the wicked mermaid to fall for the trap.]
Leeanne frowned and glanced over at Mila.
She noticed Mila suddenly took a deep breath, looked toward the nearby waters, then stood up and was about to jump into the water.
The Little Seal, who’d gotten instructions from Leeanne earlier, quickly grabbed her. “No, don’t go! Don’t go!”
Mila took another deep breath. “No, I have to check it out. I really must!”
She broke free from the Little Seal, her brows knitted with anxiety.
Leeanne had been keeping an eye on her. She quickly got up and walked over. “Mila, hang on. I’ve got something else for you!”
She took out two Lunara Blossoms and added them to the little mermaid’s flower crown.
It was getting late, and the Lunara Blossoms glowed softly in the dusk. Leeanne asked, “Do you like them?”
Mila reached up and touched the Lunara Blossoms. “I like it!”
