#85 vishers.
The girl had messy short hair, stood about 5’7“, wore a black tracksuit, and carried a large backpack. She was slender and looked bold and spirited.
She had striking eyes and a long, oval face, beautiful, but definitely not someone she’d want to cross.
Leeanne thought, ‘This must be Danelle Spangler.
She was pretty much how Leeanne had pictured her.
Danelle spotted Leeanne right away, her face lighting up with excitement. “You’re Leeanne? No wonder Rodger kept saying you were pretty, he wasn’t kidding.
“Seriously, after all this time, how are you still so clean? Your shoes don’t even have a speck of dirt on them.
“Whoa, you even smell good! Where’s that nice smell coming from?”
Danelle’s energy was a bit much for Leeanne, who was more reserved, so she took a step back. “It’s just soap. Don’t you use soap when you wash your clothes?”
There was nothing special about her scent. She just washed her clothes with soap every day.
Leeanne was just used to living comfortably, so she said it without thinking.
Danelle’s eyes popped open. “Wait, you still have soap? And you actually wash your clothes? How many sets do you own? Dang, your camo gear looks seriously cool!”
Leeanne felt overwhelmed. “Alright, I need to gather everyone. Let’s hurry up and explore. Everything will work out!”
Danelle took a deep breath to settle down, then waited off to the side, her gaze locked onto Leeanne.
She was openly jealous, not bothering to hide it at all.
Leeanne wasted no time and summoned Rodger. With a flash of white light, the summoning token vanished, and Rodger appeared right beside her.
He nodded at Leeanne, then walked over to Danelle and swiped his hand across her face. “Hey, what’s up with you? Seriously, have some manners. Who stares at people like that?”
Danelle shoved him away. “Get lost!”
Leeanne summoned William next, and with another flash of white light, he appeared.
William stood about 6’3“, easily the tallest in the group. He was solidly built, had a square jaw, and always looked composed and steady.
After a quick round of introductions, Danelle whipped out her phone and snapped a few group selties while everyone was chatting, then posted them in the group chat. “Gotta save the memory. This is our first time meeting up!”
Leeanne set up the team and said, “We’re all marked as green dots on the map, so it’s easy to track each other down. Iets each go our own way and explore. Whatever you find is yours to keep.
“If anyone runs into trouble or comes across a beast that’s too much to handle, just drop a message in the Assault Squad chat, and we’ll all jump in to help. Sound good?”

The island was massive, so splitting up meant they could cover more ground and make the most of their time.
Leeanne was the first to head off in one direction, while William took off in the opposite way without wasting any time.
Danelle nudged Rodger. “Leeanne’s kind of aloof, but she’s super decisive and gets straight to the point. I really like that vibe. What about you?”
Rodger gave a wry smile. “Yeah, I like her too, but it’s not like that matters. Hey, being teammates is good enough. Let’s just. focus on grabbing supplies!”
The two of them split up, heading off in different directions.
Leeanne headed off in one direction, checking out the plants and mountains she passed by.
‘Maybe I’ll stumble on some treasure out here,’ she thought to herself..
As she walked, the ground started to dip lower, and after a while, she spotted a patch of vibrant green bamboo up ahead.
Bamboo!‘ Leeanne perked up instantly. She’d been hoping to find some for a while now.
Her eyes lit up, she’d been hoping to find some for a while now.
Bamboo was super versatile. She could build bamboo huts with it, or make all kinds of stuff like baskets, flutes, bottles, and more. Bamboo shoots were a real treat.
Thick bamboo could be turned into cups or used to make food with.
She could even use it to make musical instruments. The possibilities were endless.
Plus, she could plant some on the raft later, and it’d look awesome.
As she got closer, Leeanne thought to herself, ‘No way this bamboo grove is totally safe. There’s gotta be some kind of beast hiding in there.‘
When she reached the edge, she pulled out her iron shovel and dug up several thin bamboo stalks, roots and all, with plenty of soil, then packed them into her backpack.
She could transplant these to the mystical cherry grove later.
While she was digging, she came across a few bamboo shoots and dug those up too, packing them into her backpack.
Bamboo shoots could be planted or eaten.
The more Leeanne dug, the more hyped she got. She pretty much stripped the edge of the grove bare, leaving hardly a single bamboo or shoot behind.
Her iron shovel was top–notch, which made digging way faster.
Finally, she set her sights on a thick bamboo stalk, thicker than her own arm. lush and green.
She wanted to turn it into cups or use it for making food.
She wasn’t planning to replant this one, so she pulled out her iron axe and chopped hard at the base

Suddenly, she heard a soft, plaintive cry coming from the grove. A little white ball rolled around, letting out another pitiful. delicate whimper.
‘Shoot, the bamboo’s about to crush it! Leeanne thought, her heart skipping a beat.
Startled, she quickly waved her hand and stashed the falling bamboo into her backpack.
Suddenly, a chubby black–and–white ball tumbled over and rolled right into the hole Leeanne had just dug, landing next to
her.
The little round creature let out another soft, plaintive cry, full of innocent grievance.
It was a baby panda.
The baby panda clumsily stumbled around in the pit, unable to climb out. It looked up at Leeanne and let out several more pitiful cries, as if begging her for help.
Leeanne nearly died from the cuteness overload.
Her eyes lit up, sparkling with excitement.
Most folks would probably say a panda was the cutest animal. All pandas had to do was exist, and they’d get a legion of fans swooning over them.
No one could even count how many people dreamed of being panda keepers, or just wanted to pet and cuddle these round, squishy babies.
After her initial burst of excitement, Leeanne reined herself in and took a deep breath.
Pandas might be cute, but they were also surprisingly savage. Most wild animals wouldn’t even think about picking a fight with one.
No way was she about to try hugging it.
Better just watch and see what it does, Leeanne told herself.
The baby panda saw Leeanne just standing there at the edge of the pit, not budging, and got all sulky.
