The Double Drop Buff Surviving The Endless Ocean novel Chapter 53

Danelle urged everyone to hurry up. Rodger blinked in surprise. We’re just gonna bail? Aren’t we gonna take it down?

Danelle’s eyes flickered with hesitation, then she shook her head. Let’s just drop it. Staying alive matters more. We need to get out of here, fast.

She gritted her teeth. I got greedy carlier. Saw a few red fruits and thought they might be something special, so I wanted to pick them and check them out.

But before I even got close, that wild boar jumped out. If I hadn’t run fast, I’d be dead already.

Red fruits?Leeanne and Rodger exclaimed in perfect unison.

The two shot each other a look, their eyes shining with the same eager anticipation.

Danelle shot them a glare. Doesn’t matter what kind of fruit it is, we can’t go after it. That wild boar is insanely strong, I’m pretty sure it’s the boss monster on this island. There’s no way we can handle it.

She warned them firmly, Don’t even think about messing with it!

Leeanne fell into a thoughtful silence.

From her experience, the tougher the beast guarding a treasure, the more priceless that treasure was bound to be.

That wild boar was already a tierthree mutant, those fruits had to be incredibly rare.

She wanted that fruit badly.

No one else would even dare to think about it.

But Leeanne was considering it, thanks to the weapons she carried.

She had a rare dagger, an advanced(Superior) whip, and a Top(perfect) horn bow.

Weapon grades were: Basic (Common), Intermediate (Excellent), Advanced (Superior), Top (Perfect), Rare, Legendary, Epic.

Most people didn’t even have weapons, and those with basic ones were a rare sight. Compared to them, Leeanne’s arsenal was several tiers above.

Earlier, when she faced that secondtier mutant blackscaled python, Leeanne had no real fighting experience, but thanks to her weapons, she finished the fight in no time, barely even getting scratched.

She thought, Danelle and Rodger come from families steeped in martial arts, so they are no strangers to combat, til gave them some serious weapon upgrades..

Leeanne made up her mind fast and turned to the group. We’ve got the strength and the stats, let’s give it a try!

Rodger nodded. Count me in That’s exactly what I was thinking!

William didn’t say anything, just nodded hard.

The three of them turned to Danelle, determination written all over their faces.

Danelle plopped down on a rock, stared at the three of them for a long moment, then flopped back and looked up at the sky, muttering, Are you guys out of your minds?

Chapter 53

I knew it, you’re all a bunch of crazy daredevils. Alright, let’s do this then!

Danelle wasn’t exactly a coward. She’d been itching to try it herself.

She was just worried about dragging Leeanne and William into danger.

But if William and Leeanne had the guts, there was no way she was going to back down.

Leeanne looked her over. How’s your injury?

Danelle got up and moved her arms and legs. Just a bit of soreness in my arm. Rodger worked it out for me earlier, and it’s feeling a lot better now.

Leeanne nodded. Alright, let’s make a plan. We’re short on time, so let’s get started!

With that, she pulled out her dagger and slipped the whip off her wrist, then asked the others, Anyone good with these? Who wants to give them a try?

Danelle’s eyes lit up. Whoa, you’ve actually got weapons, and two of them!

Rodger’s eyes sparkled as he took the dagger. I’m best at closerange fights. I’m used to fighting with my bare hands, so a dagger is just what I need!

He grabbed the dagger because he wanted to take point and be the one up front.

As soon as Rodger got his hands on it, he was so stunned his voice went up an octave. Wait, this is a raregrade dagger?

As players, they could tell a weapon’s grade the moment they picked it up.

Everyone knew how the weapon grades worked in Survival on the Seas, it was all spelled out in the newbie guide.

Rare grade! Rodger thought.

Rodger flipped the dagger in his hand, watching the cold gleam of the blade, and couldn’t help but exclaim, It’s so sharp it could slice a hair in midair. This reputation is well deserved!

Danelle’s eyes lit up even more, and she lunged for the dagger. Let me go up front!

Rodger pulled the dagger out of her reach. Seriously? You’re already injured. Forget about being in front!

Danelle scowled, clearly not having it.

Leeanne cleared her throat. Hey, Danelle, the whip’s actually pretty cool too!

Danelle looked at the whip, really wanting it but a bit unsure. She turned to William for his opinion.

William shook his head. Not my thing. It’s all yours!

Heck yeah!Danelle stepped up and grabbed the whip from Leeanne. Relax, Leeanne

Sure, my family’s famous for our crushing palm technique, but we’ve got skills with all kinds of weapons, too. Hold up, is this an advancedgrade whip?

Danelle ran her fingers along the whip, clearly smitten with it. Leeanne, you really are a freaking goldmine!

Rodger glanced over. Advanced grade?

He was stunned all over again. Leeanne just whipped out two weapons like it was nothing, one was advanced grade, the other

was rare.

Either one of these would’ve set the whole player base on fire.

If the Garcia brothers had gotten their hands on even one of these, they’d have a whole crew of elite players lining up to jo them.

Leeanne was way more powerful than Rodger ever expected. He and Danelle had seriously lucked out by sticking with her

Rodger was practically buzzing with excitement, and Danelle was just as fired up. She gave the whip a sharp flick, the sound snapping through the air. Damn, this feels awesome!

She turned to Leeanne. Leeanne, you just hide behind that rock. Rodger and I will handle the fighting up front!

Honestly, just letting them use her weapons was already a huge help from Leeanne.

Leeanne shook her head. Danelle, how far is that wild boar from us? If it’s safe enough, can you walk me up a little closer?Danelle frowned, worry written all over her face. Leeanne, that wild boar is insanely quick. Are you really sure about this?Leeanne cut her off, determination in her voice. I’m gonna lay some traps!

Danelle’s eyes lit up. Alright!

She wanted to ask more, but held herself back. She couldn’t help blurting out, Leeanne, you’re seriously amazing!Leeanne just gave her a small smile.

The four of them pressed on, with Danelle carefully leading the way through the dense woods. They finally reached a wide, open clearing, and Leeanne stopped. This is the spot!

Keeping their distance from the wild boar wasn’t a big deal. It would definitely come after them sooner or later.

Leeanne and the others dug five deep pits, using all five spike traps and setting them up in a ring.
