“Huh? Why is she still after you? I was the one who took her out!” Leeanne shot Camelia a puzzled look.
Camelia gave a wry smile.
Emmett hurried over “Hey, Leeanne, I was worried you might let her go. Jocelyn has no morals. She’s way too vicious. If you let her off, it’ll only bring trouble later.
Leeanne nodded. “Yeah, I noticed that too. I was only toying with her earlier.”
She was only messing with Jocelyn for fun.
Most importantly, Jocelyn had been too close to her just now, making it inconvenient to shoot an arrow.
Jocelyn was always scheming, either trying to get Hale to take out Emmett or pushing him to go after Camelia. And once she found herself an ally, she even set her sights on Leeanne.
She was ruthless and cold–blooded, just like a venomous scorpion. There was no way Leeanne was going to let her walk
away.
If I let her go, she might rally a few men to come after me, Leeanne thought.
Notifications kept popping up from the system.
You’ve killed Jocelyn Cross, 10 points earned. Collect her supplies?]
“Yes, Leeanne replied.
[You received 1 Treasure–Seeking Orb.]
Whoa, Jocelyn actually had something this awesome?‘ Leeanne thought, genuinely surprised.
She quickly grabbed the Treasure–Seeking Orb from her backpack.
The orb was about the size of a walnut, white, with just the word “Treasure” marked on it. Nothing fancy, actually looked somewhat dull.
[Treasure–Secking Orb: Follow this orb to find treasure. Can be used tonight at 9 PM]
“That’s it? Just that simple? Leeanne thought, a little surprised. ‘It doesn’t even say what kind of treasure or where it’s hidden, just that I should use it at 9 PM tonight. That’s just weird.
Jocelyn had the guts to leave everything else behind and only kept this orb. She must’ve pinned all her hopes on it, betting it would bring her something amazing.
This has to be something good. I’ll hang onto it and use it tonight.”
Leeanne put the Treasure–Seeking Orb away.
Just then, Camelia walked over. She’d already treated her wound with healing salve, and she looked much better now.
She handed Leeanne a blueprint. Leeanne, thank you. This is a Throwing Dagger Blueprint. It’s pretty good quality. Take it as a token of my gratitude!”
Leeanne took the blueprint.

[Throwing Dagger Blueprint (Advanced): A set of twelve throwing daggers, each with a razor–sharp blade as thin as paper. When thrown, they can easily take a life. Note: Mastery of specialized throwing techniques is highly recommended for optimal use.]
“Wait, this is an Advanced blueprint for weapons?‘ Leeanne thought, surprised.
Emmett leaned in, eyes wide. “Whoa, throwing daggers! Twelve of them!”
Leeanne was a bit taken aback and looked up at Camelia.
Camelia said, “They saw me get this Throwing Dagger Blueprint from a loot box, and that’s when their greed kicked in. They wanted to kill me and take it for themselves.”
Camelia was feeling a bit sad.
She never expected Jocelyn and Hale would actually try to kill her over a mere weapon blueprint. They had always shown some restraint before.
She felt it was time to reflect on herself. Since she was now in a world of survival, she shouldn’t have held any expectations for anyone.
Camelia’s eyes hardened for a moment. In the future, I’ll kill when I need to, she thought.
Leeanne took the Throwing Dagger Blueprint and put it away.
She saved Camelia twice, so she figured accepting a little something in return was no big deal.
Camelia turned and walked away.
She had just walked off when Gideon came striding over.
Emmett spotted Gideon and muttered, “Seriously, what took you so long? I told you to hurry up and help, and you only show up now? If we waited for you, everything would be too late.”
‘Had my hands full killing some enemies. Couldn’t break away,” Gideon said, blood splattered all over him, yet as if it was nothing.
‘A blueprint! An Advanced Throwing Dagger Blueprint! You totally missed out, man!” Emmett was practically wailing. ‘Seriously, if you’d shown up earlier, that blueprint would’ve been yours.”
Gideon nodded at Leeanne. “Let’s go?”
Leeanne nodded, and the three of them headed out together, with Leeanne walking at the very back.
Gideon marched ahead like a king, while Emmett followed behind, rambling on. “Man, if I had throwing daggers, it’d be epic. Just one whoosh, dead! Another whoosh, dead again! How cool would that be?”
Leeanne remained silent.
Emmett turned around, giving Leeanne a fawning grin. “Leeanne, you’ve got so many weapons already. You don’t really need throwing daggers, right? Why not sell them to me?”
Leeanne flashed a sly smile. “Who says I don’t need them? They’re awesome! Just one whoosh, dead! Another whoosh, dead again! How cool would that be!”
Emmett was left speechless.

No matter how much Emmett tried to sweet–talk or pester her, Leeanne wouldn’t budge.

Honestly, Emmett’s dramatic pitch totally hooked her. She was now utterly fascinated by throwing daggers, eager to experience that exhilarating whoosh–whoosh–whoosh followed by the sharp screams of a perfect hit.
But most importantly, having one more weapon meant one more ace up her sleeve.
She really needed this weapon.
Before long, the three of them made their way out of the dense forest.
Lecanne picked up the Arrows she’d dropped, then suddenly frowned. ‘Where are Little Blue and Quinn?‘ she wondered.
She’d been so caught up fighting Hale and Jocelyn that she’d completely forgotten about them. ‘Why have they disappeared?‘ she wondered.
“Little Blue!” Lecanne called out.
With a flutter of wings, Little Blue swooped down from the sky and landed on a nearby rock, preening its feathers.
Its feathers were all ruffled, but its eyes were sharp as ever, looking all high and mighty.
“Where’s the shorty?” Leeanne asked.
“He’s done for!” Little Blue said, puffing up with pride.
“Where is he?” Leeanne frowned. “Take me to him.”
“Done for! The shorty’s done for.” Little Blue flapped its wings with extra flair, puffing up with pride as it declared the news.
“Yeah, I get it, he’s done for. Just show me where he is!” Leeanne pressed.
She was worried Quinn might not be completely dead yet, so she wanted to go and finish the job herself.
“Oh!” Little Blue understood and shot into the air.
Leeanne motioned for Gideon and Emmett to wait, then quickly rushed after Little Blue.
She and Little Blue made it to a small stream, where Little Blue landed and pointed at the pools of blood along the bank, boasting triumphantly, “Done for! The shorty’s done for.”
“Where is he?” Leeanne scanned the area, but not a single soul was in sight.
Little Blue just kept staring, eyes wide and smug. “Done for! Done for!”
Leeanne just rolled her eyes. ‘Whatever. With Little Blue’s strength, Quinn’s probably done for, even if he’s not totally dead she thought.
She decided to head back and hunt some monkeys, then gather bananas and pumpkins.
“Nice job this time! Here, have some strawberries.” Leeanne took out a few strawberries and reminded Little Blue to rest after eating them.
After all, Little Blue was almost out of feathers now.
Little Blue gobbled up the strawberries happily, while Leeanne led Emmett and Gideon off to find bananas and pumpkins.

The three of them set off right away.

Leeanne and Gideon were moving fast, while Emmett trailed behind, sweating bullets. “Hey, slow down, you two. Wait up!”
Gideon said coolly, “Not like you’ll make a difference. No need to hurry.”
Emmett grumbled, “Can’t I at least tag along and learn a thing or two about fighting?”
It wasn’t far, so before long, the three of them reached the mouth of the cave hidden in the dense forest.
On the way, Leeanne gave them a quick briefing about the situation here, and the three of them hashed out their battle
strategy.
The plan was straightforward. Gideon would lead the charge and tank the front lines, Leeanne would stay back and snipe with her bow, while Emmett played the support role.
As for how exactly he would assist, Leeanne wasn’t sure.
‘Maybe he’ll just be there to watch the show?‘ she mused. ‘Emmett is super eager to jump in, so there’s no reason to kill his vibe. Who knows, maybe he’ll pull something off when it counts. At the very least, he could draw some enemy fire.
When they reached the cave entrance, Gideon didn’t say a word. He just charged straight in.
Emmett let out a battle cry and barreled in like a chubby cannonball.
