The blond–haired guy sneered, “Who told them to be as dumb as you, refusing to kill? Back then, we didn’t have any weapons. Killing someone isn’t easy, but if we’d taken them out, we’d have weapons now, wouldn’t we?”
He grew impatient. “I’m done wasting words. Come on, let’s fight!”
Greed flashed in the red–haired woman’s eyes. “That’s right, Jessica. If we take you out, we get your leather armor, your Advanced Curved Blade, and everything in your backpack. I bet you’ve got plenty of goodies stashed away, huh?”
Jessica’s expression darkened, and she snapped, “You want to kill me? Have you forgotten who saved you in the first place?”
The red–haired woman rolled her eyes. “All you did was give us a couple of bread rolls and a bottle of bottled water. You call that saving us?”
Jessica was furious. “You two are so ungrateful-”
The red–haired woman cut her off. “Alright, cut the crap!”
She turned to the handsome, trembling boy. “Ronald, want to join us? Relax, we won’t kill you. You don’t have anything we want anyway.”
‘So this is Ronald Stallings?‘ Jessica’s mind raced.
Ronald’s face was ghostly pale, and he was shaking like a leaf.
He stammered, “No, I… I can’t.”
The red–haired woman snapped, “Ronald, are you seriously this clueless? At a time like this, you’re still siding with Jessica? Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
Ronald stammered, “No… I don’t want to die.”
The red–haired woman shouted, “Then get over here!”
Ronald shook his head. “No…”
The blond–haired guy snapped, “Enough talk! Finish them.”
The two of them rushed at Jessica, while Ronald ducked and bolted, trying to protect himself Jessica was left to take on both attackers on her own.
Jessica was actually pretty skilled with her curved blade. With her gear boosting her Strength and Agility, she moved with impressive speed and power.
But her leg was injured, and she was having trouble moving.
And she just wasn’t ruthless enough.
She almost took down the red–haired woman at one point, but a moment of hesitation rost her the opportunity, and the blond–haired man swiftly kicked her to the ground.
Jessica tumbled to the ground and was just about to get up when the blond–haired man seized the opportunity Without hesitation, he thrust his short sword straight toward her throat, swifi, precise, and utterly merciless.
Leeanne lashed out with her soft whip, snapping it right across the blond–haired guy’s wrist.

“Ouch!” The blond–haired guy yelped, a sharp pain shooting through his wrist. His dagger dropped to the ground, and his wrist was red and swollen. He couldn’t even move it anymore.
The blond–haired guy shouted, “Who’s there? Show yourself!”
Leeanne stepped out, her hands moving fast. She drew an Arrow, nocked it, and let it fly with a sharp “whoosh.”
The Arrow sank right into the blond–haired guy’s chest with a sickening squelch.
“Ouch!” The blond–haired guy screamed, clutching the Arrow, his face turning ghostly pale. Blood gushed from the wound.
The blond–haired man’s face grew increasingly grim. Without any medical treatment or medicine, such a severe injury meant certain death.
“Leeanne!” Jessica scrambled up, spun around, and when she saw Leeanne, her face lit up with relief and excitement.
“Leeanne?” The blond–haired guy and the red–haired woman both froze, their faces draining of color.
The red–haired woman didn’t hesitate. She spun on her heel and ran for it.
She had only taken a few steps when suddenly someone emerged from behind a tree. With a swift thrust of his long blade, he plunged it directly into her chest.
Then he gave the blade a vicious twist and yanked it out. Blood sprayed everywhere, and the red–haired woman was dead before she even hit the ground.
Ronald, who’d been shaking nonstop and was standing nearby, let out a scream, his eyes rolled back, and he fainted right
then and there.
It was none other than Gideon, and Emmett’s plump, round figure came rushing out right after him.
“Hey, hey, Gideon, what’s the rush? You totally snatched my kill!” Emmett complained, then turned to Leeanne with a big. ingratiating smile. “Leeanne, look… Gideon didn’t mean it. How about he gets you a kill next time, huh?”
“For me? What for?” Leeanne blinked, not getting it at first.
“For you to… Emmett made a slashing motion across his throat. “Do this.”
“Oh, Leeanne finally got it. “No need!”
After all, she was no homicidal maniac.
“Sorry, force of habit, Gideon said to Leeanne.
He rummaged through the red–haired woman’s backpark. All she’s got in here is two bread rolls and half a bottle of water Want them?”
“No, thanks, Leeanne said, shaking her head
The red–haired woman looked quite poor, she thought.
The blond–haired guy’s face was already gray with fear. While everyone else was busy talking, he tried to sneak away crawling slowly on the ground.
“Stop!” Leeanne snapped. She walked over, bent down, grabbed the Arrow, and ripped it out without mercy.

The blond–haired gay had next to nothing. He was dirt poot, and even the points be dropped were pinfil
It was the first time Leeanne had ever killed someone who was only worth 10 points.
The blond–haired guy was so weak that he didn’t even need a finishing blow, just pulling out the arrow was enough to frust

She pulled out some beating salve from ber backpack, started applying in and explained her situation to Leeanne and the ochers as she worked
Jessica was well–connected always lucky with supplies, and loved helping others, so she had a ton of finends
Jessica sighed. “Before the island hunt started. I’d already put together a team. We had about twenty or thirty people…
That many? Emmett blurted out giving her a big thumbs–up. You’re amazin
Most people couldn’t even dream of pulling together a team that big, he thought
Jessica spoke quietly. “Over a hundred people wanted to team up with me. I picked about twenty or thirty of them who share similar ideas
“We all agreed that once we get to the deserted nland, we wouldn’t kill other players, just hunt beasts, stay out of other people’s drama, and quartly stock up on supplars‘
“Oh…” Emmett stretched out the word “But you ended up having a falling out among yourselves?
jessica gave a wry stribe. “Once we got to the deserted island, there were six people relatively close ao mar, and we quickly gathered together
“I thought that with our numbers, most people wouldn’t dare to mess with us, so we could steadily collect supplies without
trouble
Leeanne’s eyes narrowed. Jessica’s luck really is something else. She actually had so many aramates nearby. But when she internal conflict broke out, her luck took a turn for the worke
Jessica went on. “At first, nobody messed with us. We watched two groups go at is, and the winners walked away with a ton of loot. That’s probably when those two started getting other ideas..
She pointed at the red–haired woman and the blond–haired guy.

Then she continued, “I was quite lucky. Whenever we killed beasts or opened chests, we always managed to get weapons and equipment easily. So, we decided who would keep the gear by rolling dice.”
Leeanne glanced at her.
‘No wonder Jessica’s got so much equipment. It turns out she got it all by rolling dice, Leeanne thought. ‘Seriously, nobody’s luck can compare to hers.’
Jessica seemed to get what Leeanne was thinking. “We had another rule. Everyone could only grab one piece of gear per round. Once you got yours, you had to wait until everyone else had theirs, then we’d start the next round.”
Emmett nodded. “That’s pretty smart!”
