Chapter 21: Final Guest Arrive
Karisma’s POV

I am pacing back and forth now that I am back in Riley’s room with Jason and Willow. “Sis, you need to calm down. You are going to end up working yourself up so much that you end up with a fever again.” Jason says as she watches me from the couch.
Willow giggled and nodded her head. “Yeah, girl. Anyone with half a brain would know that what you did was self–defense. Beta Park, his banshee daughter, and that spineless whimp are the ones at fault.” She
comments.
I know what they say is true, but I have this weird feeling in my gut. I hope it is just the nerves of the trial, and it will go away once everything is settled. Maybe once I am back home, things will go back to the way they should. Winter let out a huff at that thought, but before I could ask her what she was huffing at… the doors opened and I saw Mother, Papa, Aunt Aria, and Uncle Grant all being escorted in by Alistar and
Ambrose.
I felt relaxed as I rushed over and threw myself into Papa’s strong embrace. Mother started running her hands through my hair as she always did when I was upset or stressed. I feel her gentle touches and
Papa’s strong arms around me. I felt safe once more.
I looked over at Alistar from my spot, and he gave me a soft smile. “Just relax, Karisma. You have until the
afternoon since we are waiting on Alpha Damian and his crew of misfits to arrive.” He said with a wink. It
actually made me feel better that he was making a joke about the trail. I can only hope that nothing else
happens.
Third Person POV
A few hours later…
Alpha Damian and his mate, Luna Lucy, climbed out of their car with both their betas and their gammas. He was not happy that he had to leave his pack in the care of Beta Tobias, his warlock mate, Gamma female Star, and her beta werebear mate. Normally, his gamma or beta couples would stay back in the pack and take care of it until he returned… but as this issue involved his beta and the minor son of his
gamma… he had to bring both couples along with their children.
Though he wanted to snarl and order the non–werewolves out of his pack, as Star and Tobias served the royal pack, they were considered to be higher ranked than himself. Besides, as far as he was concerned, no one within the Royal Moon pack knew that he despised other supernaturals. Alpha Damian was from a proud and old bloodline within the Moonlight Rose pack. To him, werewolves mating with humans, fairies, and other supernaturals was diluting the bloodlines and weakening the pack as a whole.
So, he made life within the pack slightly difficult for anyone who accepted a non–werewolf mate. It would remain small, like overcharging them within the packlands. Giving them extra duties that they would have to fulfill on their own, or being excluded from pack gatherings. Enough to make a point about how

unwelcome they were, but not enough for the Royal Moon pack to get involved.
Damian was slightly upset that his beta took the treatment of the rogue girl too far. Even though he himself feels she got what she deserved. Acting like she had power when she was nothing more than a stray mongrel that Alpha Philip took in from the wilds. That girl thought that just because she was taken in by an alpha that she got the same privileges as ranked children.
He clicked his tongue as he climbed the stairs to enter the pack house. There at the door, he was met with a stone–faced girl with red and black hair and red tips and a much younger girl with silver hair and bright red eyes. Alpha Damian wanted to sneer at being received by not only two girls, but one of them looks to be a vampire child. Out of all supernaturals, he hated vampires the most. He considered them to be disgusting creatures. Drinking blood and feeding off another’s strength like parasites.
With a small nod of her head in greeting, the silver–haired girl spoke. “It is nice to meet you, Alpha Damian. My name is Rosie and this is my older sister Raven. We are here to show you and your companions to the waiting room until you are summoned by the alpha king and luna queen.” Alpha Damian wanted to snarl
that the girl did not bow properly out of respect for him. She spoke to him as if she were greeting a
stranger on the same level as herself.
Tessa decided to speak up. “What gives you the right to speak to our alpha like that? You should properly
bow
your heads when addressing ranked members.” She sneered. Raven tilted her head while glaring back
at her. “In most packs, respect is earned, not gifted. Honestly, be thankful that you are receiving any courtesy at all for how highly you think of yourself.” She answered.
Tessa growled, but Rosie stepped up to her, even with being shorter than Tessa, and glared up at her. “My big sister is right. If you want to talk about proper etiquette, then let me point out where you went wrong.”
She said, as she lifted her hand and started to list things off while using her fingers.
“First, it should have been you lot that bowed and introduced yourselves first, as you are the ones of lower
rank than us. Second, as a daughter of beta blood you should know better than to speak so full of attitude
and entitlement to those who are ranked above you, And third, you should only be speaking unless spoken
to as you are here for a trail because of a conflict between you and you neighboring pack all because you feel entitled to have everything and everyone bow down to you.” Rosie said everything with such a sweet
and innocent smile that Raven had to bite her tongue just to keep from laughing.
Rosie was only ten, but she seemed to be a lot like how Kai was when he was ten. Alpha Damian growled
at the little girl. “What would you know of rank when you are just a child?” He snarled. Without any fear, Rosie looked up at the alpha. Meeting his gaze with a sharpness not many get to see.
“I know I rank higher than her because I am the youngest daughter of the alphas of the Raven Moon pack. My name is Rosie Jackman. My parents are Ethan, Terrance, and Jasmine Jackman. I also technically rank higher than you because I am a relative of the royal family here in Royal Moon. Need I continue, Alpha Damian, or can we continue with our duties?” She asked as she tilted her head to the side. “I have much
more important things to do instead of entertaining and teaching lessons to such selfish and entitled children, such as yourself and your ranked members.” She added with a straight face. Condescendingly
tilting her head, she added. “Need I continue?”

Raven smirked as she watched. This was one of the reasons she asked her little sister to be with her as
