Derrick knew he was supposed to keep his mouth shut until near the end of the trail, but if his father kept
provoking everyone in this room, then they would be here for days. “Derrick? What are you doing here? You
don’t need to deal with such matters.” Alpha Damian said.
Alpha Damian knew that with the special training that Derrick got at the academy, his son was far stronger
than him, and if he ever wished it, then Derrick could challenge him for the alpha title anytime he wished.
“What alpha would I be if I were not here for such an important trial. I mean, with the charges of assault
that are stacked against your beta and the youngest son of our gamma. It would reflect poorly on the
future alpha if he were not here to make sure true justice was given to the responsible party.” Derrick said
while standing up to his full height of 6’6.
He had a couple of inches on his father, but his father had become complacent. Letting warriors do everything while he lounges in luxury. Derrick was so thankful that he and his future beta and future gamma got their heads straightened out while at the academy. His beloved Victoria would have rejected him if he had turned out anything like his father.
“Besides, this trail won’t get anywhere if you keep running off at the mouth, so keep quiet and let the adults talk first… Sound good?” Riley let a little snort leave her lips as everyone else struggled to bite their tongue. It was not often that an alpha’s offspring would challenge their parents and disrespect them like that. It is said that when the beasts within them know when it is truly time to back down.
The fact that, even though Alpha Damian is clearly pissed off, his wolf is offering up no fight with his son. That is how Derrick can scare his father and force him to keep his mouth shut. Estarossa’s research determined that it mostly happens when one’s beast, no matter the kind, gives up on arguing with their human side to correct their wrongdoings… Because if Alpha Damian’s wolf agreed with him fully, then
Derrick wouldn’t be able to make his father submit to him.
Without waiting for his father to respond to him, Derrick looked ahead and then bowed towards Luca and Melody. “My apologies for my father’s rudeness.” Then he turned to Alpha Philip. “Please continue, Alpha
Philip.”
An hour later…
After Derrick had gotten his father under control. Things were going much faster. Alpha Philip was able to bring up every time Tessa and Roger would recruit others, whether from their own pack or the Starlight
pack, to bully and belittle Karisma just for being adopted and different.
“In all the years that this has gone on, Karisma never got physical until the beta had jumped in.” Alpha Philip said to end his argument. Karisma may have trashed things inside the school to scare her bullies away for a time, but she never once laid a hand on them until Beta Park had put his hands on her first.
“What about a few days ago?!” Alpha Damian stood as he growled. “That thing had broken bones of not

only my beta, but the youngest son of my gamma!” Before anyone else could say anything. Riley stepped
forward.
“That is true, but let us just see about that.” She said, holding out her hand and revealing a crystal sphere in her palm. Infusing the sphere with her magic, it began to glow. Soon, a giant image was being shown on the wall, playing like the screen of a movie theater.
It showed Karisma running in the woods a few days ago. Then all of a sudden falls out, and the sound of metal clamping shut is heard along with her pain–filled groan. Then, Roger and Tessa were coming out of
hiding.
“Look what we caught, Tessa. A pathetic mutt that doesn’t know how to stay in her lane.” Roger said as he grabbed Karisma by the ponytail and yanked it back hard. Kai growled as Roger then had the nerve to put his face near her neck and take in her scent, but it soon turned into a soft purr when he saw that Karisma had elbowed him hard enough to get him. but growled again as soon as Tessa stepped up to her and
smacked her.
Alpha Damian looked from the wall towards Riley. She never once looked away from him. “You were not there for the whole encounter. You can not bring fabricated evidence to a hearing like this!” Alpha Damian roared at her. Riley closed her hand, cutting the image off where Karisma had ripped the trap apart and
