The Dragon's Queen (Karisma) novel Chapter 27

Beta Park snarled and glared at the Luna Queen. To him this all started because of her. She was the one that mated not only the Alpha King, but the king of werebears and vampires. She was the one to pollute the werewolf blood with others on a bigger scale than before.

Niel sighed before walking over to his son. Paul stiffened and put his mate slightly behind him. Making Neil flich internally. His son felt the need to protect his mate from his own father. He should have never let Damian and Park go so far down this road, nor should he have followed in their footsteps.

Standing before his son, he gave his new daughter in law a small smile. “I am sorry I have not been the best mate and father. I pray to the Moon Goddess that you will help keep my son on a better path.” He said to Zoe.

Zoe smiled at him as she hugged Paul’s arm. “Your son is plenty good already. That is why I love him… besides he knows I can kick his ass if he ever steps out of line.” She said in a playful tone as she looked up at her mate. Paul met her gaze and gave her a playful growl in return. Niel smiled at both of them and then

held out his hand towards Paul.

Paul placed his hand in his father’s with a slight hesitation. Using his own claw, Niel cut into his own palm first before cutting into his son’s. He never realized before that with all the pack work he had been doing, that he had left his mate to try and raise both of their sons on her own. Thankfully his eldest son came out okay, but his younger son was about to learn a much harder lesson.

“I, Niel Baker, Gamma of the Moonlight rose pack, hereby transfer the title of gamma to you, Paul Baker.” Niel said. Paul felt the same surge of power flow over him and his wolf. Though his father did not seem to be in pain, like Damian was. ‘That is because he fought the transfer when the alpha king stripped it from him. Father is doing it freely. his wolf told him.

“Thank you, Father.” Paul said. Roger stormed over to his father. “You can not be serious, dad. Paul is mated to a tiger.” He said with disgust. Niel turned and glared at his youngest son. “You will shut your mouth about your brother’s mate. It is his choice to accept her and I am thankful that he is stronger than I was.” He said.

He then turned to his mate. His shy and small mate. Though they still love each other very much, he now realizes just how much he had hurt her over the years. “I am so sorry for being so blind, my love.” He said as he pulled Chole into his side and nuzzled her hair. “I promise to be better. How about we plan a visit to see your family within a few weeks?” He offered.

Chole looked up with both surprise and shock on her face. She had missed her family terribly but never wanted to make her mate angry with her or put him in a tough spot with their alpha… but with Derrick and his friends leading the pack now. She knew things would be changing for the better. “I would love that.” She said as she wrapped her arms tight around Neil’s waist.

Roger could not believe what he was seeing. Sure, he was shocked that his mother actually had siblings, but he never thought his father would just cave to what these people wanted him to do. ‘These people are the Alpha King and Luna Queen, human. Roger then turned to Karisma and glared at her. This was all her fault. Roger growled before lunging towards Karisma, his nails extending into claws. With a whirlwind of force. The doors behind Raven and

her brothers burst open and a lone figure rushed into the room.

Roger was grabbed by the throat and was now dangling off the ground. Blood red eyes staring back at him with rage in them. “You fucking try to touch her and I will snap your fucking neck.” Jeremiah hissed out before throwing the boy across the room. Raven pulled out silver cuffs and cuffed Roger’s hand behind his back. “You just added three years to your sentence, young man. Keep fighting and it will become for life.”

Melody said with cold eyes.

Jeremiah ignored everyone else as he turned to look at Karisma. Karisma couldn’t look away from him. She was getting the same safe feeling from him that she had gotten from the alpha king days ago. Jeremiah inhaled to scent her, but all he caught was the scent of wolf from her.

Checking her whole body, he noticed the anklet that was on her right foot. I recognized the craftsmanship of one of Parker’s designs. He knew that others ordered charms and stuff from Parker and Shianna for different reasons. This one must just hide her true scent. “Are you hurt?” Jeremiah asked as he stepped

closer to her.

Karisma shook her head. “No, sir.” Her voice was soft. Jeremiah wanted to hear it again. He felt a kin bond snap into place the moment her eyes met his. He knew that she was his. There was no mistake for him.

Karisma felt something as looked at the man that rushed into the room. Placing a hand over her heart with confusion. This was far different from how she felt towards Kai, but she felt like some kind of bond had just snapped into place. Things were getting more and more confusing for her.

Beta Park snarled as he looked towards his mate. “Sam, are you seriously going against me like this?” He growled. Sam clenched her fists. She was tired of letting her mate call all the shots. She herself was of beta blood. They were supposed to be equals and partners in this mate bond.

“Park this is not how we are supposed to live. You tried to control everything and have it your way. You were too caught up with your alpha’s ways that you kept me from my brothers.” Sam said. Her wolf, Tina, whimpered inside her mind. She was tired of this as well. Even if her mate’s wolf didn’t share his feelings,

he never stopped them.

“Tina and I are both tired of this.” Sam said. Moving closer towards her son and his mate. “What are you

saying?” Park asked. His wolf went nuts inside his mind because it just sounded like his mate was saying good bye.

Sam took a deep breath before speaking her next words. “I, Samantha Jones, hereby reject you, Park Jones, as my mate.” She said. Park had dropped to his knees as he felt thei

r mate bond start to pull and

tear apart. Ben rushed over and wrapped his arms around his mother to keep her standing.
