She pulled away from me and approached the bedside table to pick up the envelope. She didn’t even look at me when she responded. Her eyes were glued to the envelope as she smiled.

“I just wanted my decision to feel natural, not because I was trying to piss off someone out there. I’ll call my dad and tell

him.”

I wasn’t able to respond right away as I just started staring at her and she noticed it. Which was why she looked up from the envelope with curious eyes.
