She lowered her head and said to the colleague next to her, “Go erase the surveillance footage, quickly.”

The colleague hurried off while Sarah stepped forward, flustered. “Customer, you damaged the most expensive dress in our store. You’ll have to pay for it!”

She directed this at Elina. Amy frowned and said, “Sarah, you saw it yourself just now. It was this young lady who made the first move and tore Ms. Ford’s dress.”

Of course, she stood on Elina’s side; after all, it was the truth.

Sarah, however, kept a cold expression. “I didn’t see anything. I only know that Ms. Elowyn is holding Mr. Mansor’s card. How could she possibly do something so disgraceful?”

Her gaze fell thoughtfully on Elina. “Customer, please figure out how you’ll pay for the damages.”

Using the Mansor family name to pressure Elina, Sarah believed she could wrap this incident up perfectly.

Amy stood frozen at her words. “How can you twist the truth like this…” she started, but before she could finish, Sarah snapped, “Shut up! You’re new here. Don’t stir up trouble. Go get the bill for your customer to settle.”

The situation immediately tilted against Elina. Elowyn had calmed down by now. Even in her disheveled state, she managed a smile. “She can’t afford it. Sarah, you’d better call the police to prevent her from running off.”

‘Yes, call the police,” Elina said lightly. “If you don’t call the police and just ask me for money, that’s a joke.”

The surveillance was gone, and Elowyn had the Mansor family backing her. It was obvious to anyone which way the scales were tipping.

Sarah took out her phone to call the police, while Elina turned to Amy, who looked apologetic and

anxious.

“If I’m not mistaken,” Elina said, “this dress is adorned with crushed diamonds?”

Amy nodded and picked up a torn piece of fabric. “Yes. Not worth much individually, but the craftsmanship to embed them like this is very high. That’s how the dress gets its beautiful effect.”

Elina took the fabric and looked at the faint bloodstains on the diamonds, a smile curling on her lips.

“The diamonds scratched Elowyn’s finger and left blood. DNA testing can prove whose blood it is. I doubt the police are fools. A simple physics experiment and DNA test will reveal the truth.”

She handed the cloth back to Amy for safekeeping. “So don’t be afraid. Even if someone tries to lie, the police won’t be fooled. In fact, lying could cause them a lot more trouble.”

Amy immediately understood and broke into a bright smile. “Ms. Ford, you’re so smart! I remember that making false statements to the police carries serious legal consequences.”

Elina sat down in a chair and looked at Elowyn. “Want to wait for the police with me?”

Realizing the situation, Elowyn yelled at the people behind her, “Cancel the call to the police!”

But how could a police report be canceled once made? False reporting would only bring even more trouble.

Sarah’s face turned pale. She simply couldn’t understand how this seemingly ordinary woman, who just had a bit of elegance about her, could know so much.

Footsteps echoed. Elowyn, panicking, thought the police had arrived. She looked toward the door and quickly sent Jack a desperate text for help.

Elina remained seated, quietly waiting for the police. However, the person who walked in wasn’t the police, but a fashionable young woman.

Despite her heavy makeup, the sharpness in her eyes was unmistakable.

“What’s going on?” she asked as she walked in, scanning the chaotic room.

“Ms, Anna…” Sarah stammered, instantly more nervous than if the police had shown up. “This…”

For a moment, she didn’t know how to explain. Seeing Anna Moores, Elowyn immediately rushed over, her voice trembling with grievance. “Anna, you’re finally here. I didn’t know what to do!”

The two clearly knew each other. Anna even gently ruffled her hair and said warmly, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here to back you up. Who dared to cause trouble at Luxe Haven and upset our dear Elowyn?”

Anna was not only the heiress of Luxe Haven but also a darling of the fashion world and a popular socialite in high society, wielding considerable influence.

Even the mighty Mansor Group wouldn’t want to cross her lightly.

It made sense; the Moores and Mansor families were longtime allies, and since Elowyn was the daughter Jack loved, Anna being close to her was only natural.

With someone backing her, Elowyn grew bolder, her gaze at Elina filled with provocation.

“Actually, my sister didn’t do it on purpose,” Elowyn said, resuming her innocent act. “Anna, why don’t we settle this privately?”

“Sister?” Anna blinked in surprise and looked inside the room.

Elina stood up and stepped forward. “Ms. Anna, I’ll go change my clothes first. As for the compensation, please make sure you calculate every penny properly. The Mansor family can afford it.”

With that, she turned and entered the fitting room. “You’re already divorced from Jack. How can you still have the nerve to spend the Mansor family’s money?” Elowyn mocked from behind.

Elina simply smiled and ignored her.

“Anna, you see? She’s even ignoring you,” Elowyn fanned the flames, desperate for everyone to turn against

Elina.

Anna, however, kept a calm face and turned to her assistant. “Calculate the damages and send the bill to Mr. Mansor.”

“Why… why should you send it to Jack? It was clearly my sister…” Elowyn protested.
