The other assistants finally snapped out of their shock and quickly piled on.
"Nora, you always act so aloof, but it turns out you're treated worse than a servant in the Hayes family!"
"And Janie is an idiot! She didn't know her place and hit Ms. Hayes! Now look what happened! Mr. Hayes is furious, and we're all going to pay for your stupidity!"
"Who in this industry dares to cross the Hayes Group? Our clients will terminate our contracts by tomorrow, and we'll have to pay double the penalty fees! Lawrence Atelier will be millions of dollars in debt instantly! Our salaries and bonuses for the month are completely gone!"
The accusations, insults, and complaints rained down on Nora and Janie like a torrential storm.
Sloane stomped her feet, her heels clicking sharply against the floor. Pointing at the scattered designs and expensive raw materials, she trembled with rage. "If the studio goes bankrupt, where are we supposed to find jobs? Who is going to pay our mortgages and car loans?"
Hearing about their mortgages, the other assistants grew even more agitated.
"Why did you bring your personal vendettas into the workplace!"
"Your title as his wife is a complete joke! The only person he protects is Ms. Hayes! You couldn't beat her, so you decided to gamble with our livelihoods!"
Sloane looked down at Nora with utter disgust.
"You're a jinx! Why didn't you leave the studio sooner? Janie deserves what she got for trying to play the hero! The two of you are a curse on this studio, you've ruined us!"
"Are you mute? Nora, say something! You owe us an answer today!"
Seeing Nora keep her head down and ignore her, Sloane completely lost control. She lunged forward, trying to grab Nora's shirt.
One of the assistants quickly yanked Sloane back by the arm.
He wanted to make sure she had no place left in this industry. He wanted her to become a pariah. He wanted everyone to abandon her.
Gideon used the most brutally direct method to show her that the career she was so proud of—the independence she tried to build outside of his family—was pathetically fragile. The second Giselle shed a tear, he could obliterate her entire world.
Nora turned around, facing Sloane and the mob of assistants.
Her hair had come loose during the chaos, sticking messily to her face. Her eyes were heavily bloodshot, and her gaze was terrifyingly cold.
These people had just been groveling like dogs in front of Giselle. When Giselle threw their expensive portfolios on the ground and trampled on their hard work, they hadn't dared to stop her; they merely bowed their heads and wiped the dirt off the pages.
They watched Janie get pinned down and beaten, yet no one stepped in. No one even dared to speak up for her, terrified the fire would spread to them.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Love I Begged For Was Never Real
Storyline is good..but author is wasting time on character's thoughts.why r u streching chapters it's really really boring and annoying.conversation between them childish.she is only saying him get out n what right do u have ..not telling him what he did to her not questioning him..demanding answer. And what happened to him why sudden change of heart care to explain author.....
For the past few chapters either she is sick or he is. It is slightly boring. Author pls let them talk about the issues , she is not at all scolding him.. every scoldings are playing in her mind only. We want some talk between them....
I am also thinking the same....
Has he mistaken Nora as Giselle?...
What happened to him🤔 did he forget everything?...
Hey can u also upload the book " woke up married to my cheating ex"....
Does he know the orphan girl is actually Nora?...
So is he trying to justify everything? At wat rite??? Wer were he wen she needed him the most.......
Haha finally going to see redemption...
I don’t think reborn will happen in this novel. It will be full of her blood only. Actually The title should be changed to only Nora’s suffering instead the love I begged was never real....
