"Gideon! You just woke up and you're kicking me out! I don't want to go to some fashion week, I want to stay right here and look at you!"

Giselle stamped her feet in anger, gripping the edge of the bed and refusing to let go, whining and pouting.

"Listen to me, Giselle."

She pouted, reluctantly letting go of the bed. Wiping away her tears, she stood up from the bedside, entirely unwilling to leave.

"You rest well, then. I'll come back to see you tomorrow."

Giselle wiped her tears pitifully as Julian supported her by the arm, guiding her toward the door.

As she passed Nora, Giselle suddenly stopped.

In the absolute blind spot blocked by the back of the chair, entirely out of Gideon's sight, her previously pitiful face instantly darkened. She shot Nora a vicious glare, her piercing eyes looking as though she wanted to swallow Nora alive.

Nora simply stood there emotionless, completely ignoring the provocation.

Giselle let out a cold snort, her high heels clicking sharply as she pulled open the door and stormed out.

For a moment, the only people left in the VIP suite were Gideon, lying in the bed, and Nora, who had remained silently in the corner this entire time.

A suffocating, dead silence filled the air.

"Why are you standing so far away? Come here."

Gideon's voice shattered the tension. Propped against the headboard, his deep, dark eyes locked heavily onto Nora.

Nora stood frozen for a moment, her fingers laced tightly in front of her, turning white from the force.

She pressed her cracked lips together and finally forced her stiff legs to move, inching her way to the bedside.

She stopped a foot away, her gaze landing on the face of the man who was completely wrapped in bandages.
