"I need to go to the studio today to catch up on some delayed projects."

Clutching the folder to her chest, Nora calmly explained her itinerary. "The nurse will be waiting outside. I've already told the staff at the house to deliver your lunch on time."

He looked up from the complex business reports, his gaze sweeping over Nora's long-unseen professional attire.

She wore light makeup, masking the exhaustion and pallor from days of sleep deprivation. She radiated a vibrant energy completely at odds with the sterile hospital room.

"Go."

Gideon replied indifferently, his tone somewhat casual. "Have Liam arrange a driver for you. Finish up early and come back."

Nora didn't bother correcting his entitled, possessive attitude, nor did she analyze the natural familiarity in his command to 'come back early.'

Lucia rushed up to Nora, throwing her suitcase aside before she could even catch her breath, and pulled Nora into a bone-crushing hug.

"You scared me to death!"

Lucia's voice trembled with lingering fear as she gripped Nora's shoulders tightly, scanning her up and down.

"I heard about the accident at the factory the second I landed. The higher-ups completely locked the news down, and I had to call in favors left and right just to find out you were here. Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere? Those greedy, money-grubbing capitalists! Do they not know how to enforce basic security protocols in a factory?!"
