The moment Gideon's fingers made contact, they violently clamped down, the veins on the back of his hand bulging grotesquely.
With one arm, he forcefully hoisted Nora completely off the ground.
Her feet dangled uselessly in the air, her back slamming violently against the solid hospital wall.
A sickening thud echoed as her spine and the back of her head cracked against the concrete, making her vision swim in a sea of black spots.
Gideon glared at her face, which was rapidly turning a bruised purple from oxygen deprivation. A horrifying, bone-chilling madness ignited within his deadened eyes.
"Why did you push her?! Nora... tell me, why did you push her?!"
He roared hysterically, every single word ground out through clenched teeth as massive, scalding tears streamed down his face.
"If you had a grudge against me, if you had a problem with the Hayes family, come at me!! Come at Gideon Hayes!!"
His fingers constricted tighter and tighter, practically digging directly into her soft flesh.
"Why did you push her?! She was only twenty-two! What did she ever do wrong for you to shove her off a building?!"
Nora's hands scrabbled weakly at Gideon's iron grip around her throat. But the sheer disparity in strength, combined with Gideon's absolute, unhinged fury, made all her resistance feel like mere scratching.
The air supply was instantly and entirely severed.
The oxygen in her lungs was violently extracted, and a piercing, deafening ring erupted in her eardrums.
Nora gaped her mouth wide, her cracked lips trembling uncontrollably, yet unable to force out even a single syllable.
She stared into Gideon's eyes and saw no trace of the cool rationale that shielded her at the factory, nor the gentle warmth they shared in the master bedroom.
There was only hatred.
"Mr. Hayes!! Wake up, Mr. Hayes!!"
Liam York, who had been paralyzed with terror, finally snapped out of it. With bloodshot eyes, he threw himself forward, wrapping both arms around Gideon's right arm and hauling back with every ounce of his strength.
"Mr. Hayes!! Giselle is right there watching you!!"
Julian Pierce was also violently yanked from his suffocating grief. He stepped forward and clamped his hand over Gideon's wrist, his eyes burning with lethal violence behind his glasses.
"Gideon, let go! Don't let her die so easily! She has to pay for Giselle's life! If you kill her now, you're letting her off easy!!"
Liam strained his neck, screaming at the top of his lungs at the entirely unhinged Gideon, his voice cracking with hysterical sobs.
"Giselle clung to you since she was a kid! She was terrified of seeing you hurt, and terrified of making you angry! If she knew you committed murder in broad daylight for her and became a criminal that everyone despises, how could she ever rest in peace?!"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Love I Begged For Was Never Real
Storyline is good..but author is wasting time on character's thoughts.why r u streching chapters it's really really boring and annoying.conversation between them childish.she is only saying him get out n what right do u have ..not telling him what he did to her not questioning him..demanding answer. And what happened to him why sudden change of heart care to explain author.....
For the past few chapters either she is sick or he is. It is slightly boring. Author pls let them talk about the issues , she is not at all scolding him.. every scoldings are playing in her mind only. We want some talk between them....
I am also thinking the same....
Has he mistaken Nora as Giselle?...
What happened to him🤔 did he forget everything?...
Hey can u also upload the book " woke up married to my cheating ex"....
Does he know the orphan girl is actually Nora?...
So is he trying to justify everything? At wat rite??? Wer were he wen she needed him the most.......
Haha finally going to see redemption...
I don’t think reborn will happen in this novel. It will be full of her blood only. Actually The title should be changed to only Nora’s suffering instead the love I begged was never real....
