The Love I Begged For Was Never Real novel Chapter 426

"Did you buy those gold-medal pieces?"

"You used the Hayes family's power to drive the original creator out of the metropolis! Now that the Hayes family threw you out, are you planning to live with your tail tucked between your legs?"

"The victim has already spoken out, exposing your vile actions! Don't you feel any guilt toward the designer whose life you ruined?"

"Did Giselle die because she found out about your plagiarism? Did you push her off the roof to silence her?"

"Are you here at Lawrence Atelier today to publicly apologize to the victim, or to try and use your status to bully people again?!"

Sharp, malicious questions rained down on Nora like machine-gun fire.

Pushed and shoved by the crushing crowd, her weak body stumbled backward.

She tried desperately to steady herself, lifting her head to face the blinding flashes.

"I didn't plagiarize."

Nora shouted, though her voice sounded incredibly weak over the chaotic plaza. "I drew every single one of those designs myself. I never bought anyone's drafts, and I never suppressed anyone!"

Her explanation was completely drowned out by the reporters' mocking interrogations.

None of them cared about the truth. They only needed to capture her looking pathetic and hysterical; they only wanted to drag her down into the mud.

"The facts are right in front of us, and you're still lying! Does a malicious woman like you ever tell the truth?!" a female reporter holding a microphone snapped back.

"The victim already released the chat logs and early inspiration sketches! Do you think the public is stupid?"

Another male reporter aggressively pulled a blank sketchbook and a pen from his bag, shoving it violently toward Nora.

"If you say you drew them yourself."

The reporter pointed accusingly at the sketchbook, loudly taunting her, "Then draw a sketch right now, in front of all these cameras! If you can draw it, you can prove your innocence! Do you dare?!"

The sketchbook and pen hit Nora in the chest before clattering onto the rain-soaked pavement.
