Chapter 128
–Elara–
I slammed the liquor glass down, looking at my watch.
I was getting madder by the minute.
That bitch, Kaia, had the nerve to leave Shadowclaw to the Nightshade pack without me.

They made me take a commercial plane while they rode a private jet. If Kaia weren’t in the picture, Theo wouldn’t have treated me like this.
Not to mention, the four of them were invited to a private dinner with the alpha and his family, yet I wasn’t.
I wasn’t even allowed to share the special accommodation arrangement Alpha Mathew made for them. I was left in the hotel with the others, as if I didnt matter.
Ever since I got here, they have sidelined me
If I weren’t trying to get on her good side, I would have made her face my wrath.
I was feeling suffocated staying in my hotel room by myself, so I decided to come out to get a drink.
I looked at my phone desperately, stopping myself from calling Theo; I had missed him, but I knew my plans would blow up in my face if I called him.
Instead, I ordered some more alcohol, which burned my chest and made me feel good.
I momentarily forgot Theo.
That bastard Lucien still didnt call me. I wasn’t bothered, but it felt bad knowing he was truly keeping his word.
I guess it’s for the better, one less distraction.
I felt myself getting a little tipsy; my alcohol tolerance was usually high, but today didn’t seem to be my day.
I shook my head vigorously, trying to wake myself up.
When I raised my head after spinning it to the side, I was shocked when the last man I wanted to see appeared in front of
my eyes.
He was sitting at the other end, drinking with his friends, while some ladies gave him a lap dance.
I scoffed. Lap dance, more like an erotic show.
All the anger I felt towards him suddenly surged to my chest, and I felt myself clenching my fists involuntarily.
I was angry, and I could feel it rolling off of me.
He was the last person I expected to run into, but what was I expecting coming to his father’s pack? I knew he would be here, but I didnt expect to run into him so soon.
I stood up, heading to the ladies’ room. I needed to clear my head and get my tipsy ass up from the bar.
When I got there, I splashed water on my face repeatedly, and fit the tipsiness leaving my body. I felt better soon after.
I wiped my face, reapplied my makeup and left the bathroom.

Chapter 128
I flinched when I stepped outside, and someone was leaning on the wall at the entrance.
My heart raced, almost jumping out of my chest. Then I realised who it was and I became furious.

“Why wasn’t I told you are in the Nightshade pack? I seemed to be the last person to know you are here,” Miguel spoke, and I looked away, attempting to walk away.
I wasn’t in the mood to talk to him. He’s not worth my strength; m saving it for something useful.
“Ignoring me, aren’t you?” he asked when he saw how irritated I was. “Dont avoid me, I’m not going to bite you”
I stopped trying to push myself through the small space he left for me. I caved in, reverberating with annoyance.
“What do you want from me, Miguel?” I asked. “Get out of my way, I’m trying to have a peaceful night out”
Miguel tightened his grip on the wall and purposely trapped me in between his hands to stop me from leaving.
“You are having a night out without me?” He chuckled, and I felt disgusted. “Remember, we used to roam all the clubs in the country together. Seeing you now, I’m reminded of everything, and I want to experience it again. What do you think, darling?” he attempted to touch my lips, and I slapped his hand away.
“In your fucking dreams, bastard!” I snapped.
“Fiesty!” he mouthed, licking his lips. “That’s what I like, and it’s exactly why I liked you”
I scoffed. “Liked me? Stop lying, you and I know you never liked me. You were only playing around with me,” I said, fighting back tears.
This bastard was forcing me to recall things I had been trying to bury, and it was annoying to say the least.
Miguel stared into my eyes as if he had something to say, to defend himself from my accusations, but he knew I was right.
“Yes, I messed up badly,” he confessed, and I shook my head. “But there is no denying that I like you”
“You liked me so much that you cheated on me and threw me outside to sleep with your whore in the hotel room that I booked for us?” I spat resentfully, recalling what he did.
“Let’s forget that ever happened and start afresh,” he suggested.
Before I knew it, he moved closer and cupped my face, planting his lips on mine.
I froze for a second, then my eyes darkened, and I used all my strength to push away. Then I slapped him, making him gasp in shock.
He wasn’t expecting that reaction, and I was glad; it was better that way.
I slipped through the doors before he could stop me.
When I got back to the bar, I paid my bills, grabbed my purse and left.
I was still shaking with annoyance when I got back to my hotel room.
The nerve of that guy to show himself to me after what he did to me; he betrayed me, and he still thinks it’s nothing.
I felt a pang of pain clamping my heart when I remembered what Miguel did to me.
