“I had Enforcer Gilbert questioned again, and he insisted Ramgive him the signed order,” Kaia said, locking the door behind her.

I turned to face her swiftly, frowning.

“We need to get his family immediately,” she said, seething with annoyance. “If we can’t find him, they will know something”

“But I relieved Ramos of his duties before I left. How would he have access to seals and forge an order in my name?” I asked I looked puzzled.

It was hard to believe. Especially knowing how well I treated him that was the last thing I would expect him to do.

“Only Ramos can tell us that,” Kaia breathed. “Who knows? He right have accomplices in the mansion”

I nodded, knowing Kaia might be telling the truth.

Whoever put Ramos up to this is definitely planning something But I can’t understand why they would choose to set me up.

“Send Kappas to go invite Ramos’ family for questioning,” Kaia ggested. “Let’s keep it discreet so that it will not raise suspicions until we get to the bottom of things”

“Alright,” I agree. “I will send a few men right now”

“Do so immediately,” Kaia said. “Also, get in touch with Draven.’s almost our wedding, we can’t afford more distractions” She was right. With everything happening right now, our wedding wouldn’t happen in peace, and I would hate that for us.

I kissed Kaia’s forehead. She has worked so hard, and I should te it from here.

She went to lie on the bed while I walked out of the room.

On my way out, I made a few calls, summoning our trusted kapes to meet to get Ramos’ family.

I had a meeting with some people outside of the pack.

I decided to go to the meeting while the kappa are out getting Ramos’ family. We can meet once they bring them in.

While in the meeting with the investors, I couldn’t focus. My mind was consumed with the thought of the arracks, and i distracted throughout.

Zane had to call out to me at intervals to get my attention.

I felt like shit for not seeing things before they got this bad.

We spent four hours in the meeting, and when it finally ended, ushed out first

I was so happy for him, and he couldn’t stop smiling.

He and Justine had always wanted this so much. I’m glad they got their addition.

I can’t wait to meet my little godson. I will undoubtedly be his golfather. After all, I’m Zane’s best friend.

Soon, the car pulled up in front of the mansion, and we rushed cut.

Hurrying towards the keep room where the kappa had told me ey had kept Ramos’ family.

I decided to question them without wasting any more time, we dont have the time to waste anyway.

The kappas opened the door and led us to where Ramos’ family was.
