The packs outcast Luna (Kaia and Theo) novel Chapter 156

Chapter 156

Chapter 156

“Wait, Theo,” Zane stopped me before I told them anything.

Zane came close and whispered in my car. I nodded and turned to face the family of three.

65 voushers

“Unfortunately, I can’t tell you what’s going on yet. Not until you information checks out,” I said, and I saw pain in their

eyes.

Ramos should have thought of his low-income family before indulging in something this evil.

“One more thing, I can’t let you go back to your house for now,” informed them, and they looked shocked. “Youll have to stick around until we get Ramos. It’s both for your own safety and my security”

I turned to leave; I didn’t want to talk to them any longer. I got pissed off the more I looked at their condition.

I couldn’t imagine myself doing something this awful to Kaia and my mother if she were alive.

“Please cooperate, it will help you and us as well”, I said. “If you remember anything, dont forget to come forward with it”

They fell silent, and I took their silence as a yes and left the room

“Arrange to get them settled in the old BQ and have guards wate them”, I instructed Kappa Andrenaldo as we walked out of the place.

“What do you think, are they telling the truth?” Zane asked, and we stopped.

I looked towards the keep.

“I don’t know,” I mouthed. “I hope for their sakes, they are selling the truth. Otherwise, they would be punished alongside Ramos, and it would be bloody,” I said, clenching my fists angrily

“I will fact-check the info they gave us and send men to Kingspire to keep an eye out for Ramos. The minute they see him, he will be arrested and dragged back here,” Zane said.

I did not know what to feel about it. I hope something positive comes out of it.

“Please keep me posted, and you dont have to go after him yourself, Zane”, I reasoned. “Justine needs you, you should go be with her and let the men handle it”

Zane nodded, smiling.

“Yeah, I was going to do that. Besides, Ronan offered to help,” Zage revealed.

“Good. Very good, with more hands, a lot of grounds would be covered” I said, walking away. “Get some resi, Zane”

I returned to my room. Kaia must be awake and worried.

True to my words, I got her mindlink while I was heading to our room.

“Big wolf, where are you? Still not done with the meeting?” she asked, mindlinking me.

“Hold on a minute, I will be there with you soon”. I said and clog the mindlink.

In less than a minute, I pushed the door to our bedroom open, and she was standing by the wi bump.

I smiled seeing her.

Chapter 156

I walked up to her, kissed her lips and her baby bump. She ruffle my hair, chuckling

“So, how did the meeting go?” she asked. “It took longer than Iected.

ahh your he

“The meeting ended about two hours ago, blue eyes”, I said. “I j had to visit Ramos’ family and get a confession out of them”

“Confession?” Her eyes widened. “And?”

“His family claimed they hadn’t seen him in six months, I breathed. “According to them, he left home and hasn’t returned ever since. Except his mate, Becky, claimed she got a paycheck nsferred into her account every month, and the suspects it came from him.

Also, his brother, Felix, said he saw him in the 11th Hour club in Ringspire a month ago in the company of people he hadn’t seen before”

Kaia’s eyes widened, she looked at me, and I knew what she was thinking. I had the same thought.

Whoever Ramos was working with is in Kingspire. Or they probably meet in Kingspire for something, and we need to find out what it is. Who they are and what they want from us.

“I’ve asked Zane to investigate the info we got from them,” I said “We will know the next step to take soon”

“I would like to interrogate Ramos’ family,” Kaia suggested.

“It’s just questioning, Kaia”, I corrected. “They are not suspects, can’t interrogate them when they are just family members, and we don’t have any evidence against Ramos too”

I felt helpless, but it’s the truth. I want to be tyrannical and evil, but I couldn’t forget the rights of every member of the pack and trample upon them to achieve my goal.

It will take time, but I will do things the right way until I can’t anymore.

“Dont worry, Theo,” Kaia cupped my face. “I won’t do anything upid. I want to see and talk to them”

“I know,” I said, breathing in her scent. “You can see them tomorrow. I’ve asked the guards to transfer them to the BQ and get them settled in”

Kaia frowned, and I was puzzled.

“What’s wrong, blue eyes?” I asked, seeing her expression.

“I don’t think the BQ is safe for them. They are very important in finding Ramos, who knows what’s lurking around in the shadows?” she asked, and it clicked.

“Oh shit!” I pulled my hair in frustration. “I didnt think of this”

I quickly mindlinked Kappa Anderanaldo to leave the family in the keep and to triple security.

“They will be safer in the keep. Especially when it’s just a limited number of people who know of their presence in the pa Kaia said after I disconnected the mindlink.

I completely agree with her.

“You are right, I didn’t think that far, I texted Zane the new upde

I had to keep him informed at all times; likewise, he, and, with tongs moving fast, Ramos wadd be caugh would finally know who was behind the forged order and the ark on Seeland

Chapter 156

I took a long deep breath Kasa hugged me, and I let her. I needs all the warsh I could get, and Kala prve me m enosach

hile, we broke the hug and Kaia went into the bathroom to shower while I turned on my laptop

And the first thing I saw was an email from Draven.

Curious, I opened it up with speed.

[I found something strange in my barn house. Someone has been stealing grain through a recent tunnel. I have no Mex what’s going on here. Do you think this has anything to do with the attacker]

Draven attached images of the tunnel.

I zoomed in on the image and could see that the tunnel was indeed new.

Something strange was happening right under our noses, and we couldn’t do anything about it.

[I believe these things are connected, and we have to find a way to connect them. Meanwhile. I need you to move discreetly We don’t know who these people are, what their aims are, or who their allies are. We can’t afford to make mistakes and aler them. Please move in silence, and keep me updated. I will do the same]

I typed out an email and sent it to Draven.

Once I finished up with Draven. I closed the laptop and got up stretch my legs.

Looking out the window, a glimmer of an idea popped into my mind, and I decided to act on it.

I took out my phone and dialled a number, someone I hadn’t spoken to in a long time,

“To whom do I owe this pleasant surprise, Theo?” the voice said once the call connected

“Something that has to do with violence and mind games, if you must know”, I said calmly.

“Whoa, count me in!”

“See you soon, I believe? And prepare. It’s massive, and we need massive preparation,” I said, looking out the window heart was heavy with pain.

“In a jiffy, and I don’t like delays. Only action, and you should be ready by the time I get there”

“Very well then, see you soon, buddy”

The call ended, and I smiled to myself. The more hands on deck the faster we catch these criminals

After this, we live happily ever after, I know this.
