The packs outcast Luna (Kaia and Theo) novel Chapter 158

Chapter 158

We got to the designer’s store in the mall.

While the others were checking a few things, I tried on my wedding dress, and it was perfect.

It was the right colour I’ve always wanted, I had no complaints.

The designer would send the dress over tomorrow as promised. So, I left to look for my friends.

They were in the stores downstairs. I walked from the designer’s store upstairs and landed in the general area.

At first, I couldn’t find them.

I was about to try their number when I saw Maliya waving at me from afar.

I smiled and hurried over.

Justine was snacking on a fruit fritta she got from the mall.

“Eating already?” I asked, walking over. “Have you paid for that?”

“I’m hungry,” She shrugged. “Besides, they should be glad I’m still willing to pay when checking out. I could’ve used my beta luna rights”

I shook my head, chuckling at her words.

“You’re impossible, Jus,” I said, walking to pick a packet of chocolate.

We finished shopping, and Maliya went to clear our bills. While we walked out to the car, my legs

were hurting.

If I stand any longer, I’ll lose my balance, and I wouldn’t want that to happen to me in public.

“How do you feel about your wedding, Kaia?” Justine asked, stuffing her mouth with chocolate. “Are you

excited?”

I shook my head; my feelings were all over the place.

“I was very happy,” I breathed. “But right now, with everything happening, I don’t know how to feel anymore. I want to get married to Theo and live a happy life with our baby; these terroists are making our lives difficult, and I don’t know if that dream will come true again”

“I understand how you feel, darling,” Justine patted my shoulder “I feel the same way, too. Zane and I have always wanted a child for years, and now that we are about to have one, he’s barely able to breathe without running after these awful monsters. If I get my hands on these monsters, I will rip their eyes out,” Justine gritted, and I agreed.

They have made our lives difficult, so it’s only right that we make them feel a little bit of what they made us feel.

“I hope we find out useful information about the people soon, Ion’t think I can live knowing that there are there waging wars against us for no reason” I clenched my fists, walking briskly beside Justine.

people out

“For now, I want you to forget everything else. Let’s forget about the things happening right now that shouldn’t be happening and focus on you and Theo. Free yourself from the burden of the situation; the terror attacks and everything.” Justine suggested. I nodded, but my heart wasn’t in it.

I don’t think I can get them out of my mind just yet. Not until Ish every single one of them out.

“I’m trying to, but I can’t do it,” I breathed.

We were about to step out of the mall when someone crashed in o me, sending my bags of groceries to the ground.

“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going”, the person apologised profusely while trying to help.

“It’s okay, I can do it myself”, I urged and picked up my shopping bags.

When I raised my head, he was nowhere to be seen. I shook my head and tried to walk out.

I looked at my hand, and there was a small piece of paper stuck it. I was confused.

I wasn’t holding any paper before. I looked at Justine, who was waiting for me.

I looked around sharply to find the person who bumped into me but he was long gone.

Strange. Wasn’t it?

“What’s going on?” She asked, seeing the look on my face.

I strolled to her, and she gesticulated with her head, asking me what the matter was.

“Let’s go to the car first,” I urged, and we did.

When we sat in the car, I dropped the shopping bags and quickly glanced at the

paper.

[Kaia,

You should have stayed where you belonged and remained the quiet, ignorant girl you were supposed to be, and stayed far away from matters that do not concern you.

Your questions about the attack are beginning to reach places they should never reach. The more you dig, the closer you come to truths that will destroy far more than you can imagine. Some secrets were buried for a reason, and those who try to unearth them often end up buried with them.

You may

think

you are protecting this pack. You may think you are helping your Alpha.

You are not.

You are walking straight into a grave that was not meant for

This is the only warning you will receive.

you

Stop asking questions about the attack.

Stop searching for answers that do not belong to you.

Or the next time you collapse, it will not be from exhaustion, and no healer in this pack will be able to save you.

Consider this my first and last warning. I’m not usually this merciful.

– A Friend Who Knows A Lot]

I gritted my teeth, my jaw grinding painfully.

My eyes were blazing with annoyance, and I could feel my ownage rolling off me.

Justine read through the letter, too, and she was as shocked as I was.

“Who the hell is this person?” She asked, looking around. “Not only does he know what’s going on, he knows you are involved in fishing out the attackers. They have inside information, and the insider is close to us!” She reasoned, and she was right about everything.

“The nerve of this bastard to threaten me, I will not let them get away with this nonsense. I promise on my unborn child,” I vowed, still raging hard.

Just then, Maliya got into the car with a smile.

“Sorry, I took a little longer. The cashier was acting sloppy with my payment,” Maliya said, sitting in the driver’s seat. “What’s going on here?”

She noticed the tense atmosphere and asked, glancing at us.

Justine gave her the letter, and she took it.

“Someone sent this to her,” Justine said while handing it over. “Its serious. We are being watched, and someone must be feeding them inside info”

Maliya skimmed through it, her eyes widening in shock.

“So, what are we going to do now?” She asked, looking away from the paper. “We can’t let them get away with this”

“Don’t worry, I don’t plan on letting them off that easily,” I said. will find out who sent this and I will bring them to their knees”

“What about Theo?” Justine shifted in her head. “Are you going to tell him?”

“You should tell him, Kaia,” Maliya urged. “I think he should be aware of what’s happening. That way, it will be easier to protect you and the baby”

I chuckled, shaking my head.

“I’m not the one who needs protection; this friend of mine is the one who should find protection because I’m not going to spare him”, I declared firmly.

We fell silent, different thoughts running through our minds, and I know we were trying to come up with a solution in our own way.

Suddenly, my phone rang, and I eagerly picked up.

“Ramos Delema has been spotted around Kingspire District, my lady”, Kappa Taylor said, as I immediately picked up.

“Don’t let him out of your sight, keep him and keep me posted every moment of his movement”, I ordered.

“Yes, my lady, I will.” Kappa Taylor said, and I ended the call.

I was breathing heavily by now, everything was taking a toll on me, and I refused to back down.

“Calm down, Kaia”, Justine urged, “Don’t get too worked up. You blood pressure will rise, and that’s not good for you or the baby. You are the healer, why am I the one doing the work?” she aid, and I giggle a little,

“Let’s go home, I have things to do”, I said, and Maliya stepped on the gas.

Within 20 minutes, we arrived at the mansion, and Maliya parked the car.

I didn’t wait for them and immediately rushed to the keep.

I had some questions for Ramos’ family, and I hope to get to the bottom of things.

That bastard made a mistake threatening me like that. I’m not the type to run off in the face of danger; it triggers me more, and I will show him what I can do when I’m triggered.

I walked in, and the moment they saw me, they bowed respectfully.

I wasn’t in the mood for pleasantries, so I went straight to the point.

“Does Ramos have any friend that you know who works with him?” I asked, and they glanced at each other.

They didn’t answer, and I got impatient and furious.

“I believe I’m talking to people, not logs of wood. Damn it!” I snapped, throwing a plate across the room. “Does this look like some kind of joke to you?”

They flinched, but I didn’t care.

I was done being nice with them. If their bastard family member hadn’t done this, we wouldn’t be in this mess right now.

“Give me all of Ramos’ friends right now. Every single one of then. I want it right now. Felix…” I walked up to him and raised his head. “You are a hacker, right?”

He looked at me in confusion. I smirked and sat down while he stood there, confused.

“I don’t understand what you mean, my lady,” Felix said.

“I said, use your hacking skills to fish out where your brother is?” I said, looking him directly in the eye. “And if you can’t do that, tell me about your brother’s friends”

I hopped to my feet, just then Maliya and Justine walked.

“Kaia, what’s going on?” Justine said and stood at the door.

“I want answers!” I snapped. “And I can only get that when I catch Ramos. I have a feeling his friends might know where he is”

“Ramos doesn’t have any friends, your Grace”, Anastasia said, and I turned to look at her sharply.

I wasn’t going to buy that excuse. Not when I’m getting threats.

“So your son is a lone wolf, is that it?” I asked, scoffing.

“Ramos has always walked alone since he was young; his only friend was Felix, and now he has disappeared wi him anything”, Anastasia explained, and I pulled my hair in frustration.

“Romas ghosted me, too,” Felix chimed in. “Trust me, if I knew where he was, I would personally drag him to you. idea where he is, Lady Kaia”

I wanted to press them further and make them talk, but they looked like they were telling the truth, and it would be evil of me to put any more pressure on them.

“Kaia, come with me for a second.” Justine held my hand, and I let her.

I was frustrated, and she knew it,

“You have to calm down, Kaia,” Maliya said as we walked toward her wing. “Acting like this and taking it out on them won’t bring Ramos out,”

“What else should I do? I’m tired of everything!” I squealed, turning away.

“I have an idea, please don’t judge me, it’s just my thing”, Justine said, and we looked at her in unison.

She beckoned us to come closer, and we did; we leaned in, and she whispered in our ears.

When she was done, I covered my mouth in disbelief.

My friend was ruthless, and it’s exactly what this pack needs.

“Very well, let’s get to work. We don’t have much time,” I said, ageeing with her suggestion.

“Kappa Taylor, I need you to do something for me urgently and do it discreetly, please,” I called him, and he was eager to carry out the task.

I told him what he needed to do, and he assured me it would be done. Then, I dropped the call.

“This would force Ramos out of hiding, trust me, this method is tested and trusted,” Justine grinned sheepishly at me. “I hope we catch him soon,” I breathed. “Hopefully, this works”
