The packs outcast Luna (Kaia and Theo) novel Chapter 159

Chapter 159

I jolted awake when I heard my phone ringing.

“Who’s calling at this hour, my love?” Theo groaned from sleep. It’s too early!”

I didn’t answer, I got out of bed and picked up my call.

“Lady Kaia,” Kapoa Taylor said. “Ramos was spotted going into his family’s house. What’s your order, ma’am?”

“Get the boys and arrest him immediately. Bring him to the cottage house behind the building,” I instructed.

The call ended, and I rushed to wake Theo up.

“Honey, wake up!” I tapped him impatiently.

“What’s going on, blue eyes?” He jerked up, afraid something had happened to me. “Are you hurt anywhere?”

“No, not me,” I said. “But Ramos might get hurt soon. He was spotted checking on his family, and I ordered his arrest”

Theo looked at me, bewildered, when I told him; he couldn’t believe it.

“But how is that possible?” Theo asked, getting out of bed. “He had been gone for six months; why would he suddenly return overnight?”

“He didn’t return on his own accord, let’s say we force him to come out of hiding with a little magic trick”, I said. “Come on, we have to go help the kappas bring him here”

We entered the bathroom and washed up quickly. While we were bathing, I noticed Theo was looking at me in disbelief.

He wanted to know how I got Ramos out of hiding, but this wasnt the time for that.

After we left our room, I linked up with Justine and Maliya, who joined us on the way. And Zane came along too, I presumed Theo told him.

By the time we got to the cottage house behind the building in the pack, Kappa Taylor had arrived with his men and the culprit, Ramos.

“Please wait out here, Theo and Zane,” I said, pleading with them

They obliged. Then, Justine, Maliya and I went after Ramos.

Kappa Taylor led us to a room where he was tied with a silver cuff and blindfolded with a black cloth.

The room was a little dark because it was early in the morning. Justine pulled the curtain, and lights spilt in.

Then, I pulled the cloth off his face, and he shrieked.

“My family! My family,” Ramos shrieked. “Where are they? What have you done to them?”

I let out a laugh, staring into his eyes.

He flinched and stopped screaming for a moment,

“Your family?” I repeated. “Do you want to see them again? Safend sound?” I asked, and he gulped.

“What do you want? Why are you doing this to me? What did you do to my family?” Ramos asked, screaming.

“What do I want?” I chuckled. “You really want to know what I want? Tell me, who asked you to send the signed order issuing an attack on Seeland?” I asked, and his face changed.

I knew he was shocked at what I said; I could tell from his face.

“Tell me, if you want to see your family safe and sound again”, Ihreatened.

“It was the Alpha’s order,” Ramos said, and I chuckled.

“Do you take me for a fool?” I asked, gripping his hair. “I ask again, who asked you to give the order to enforce Gilbert?”

Fear flickered in his eyes, and I liked that.

I want him to know that I wasn’t going to go easy on him for any reason.

“I’m telling the truth, please believe me”, he quivered.

I turned to Maliya, who looked disgusted.

“Do your thing, Liya”, I said, and she smirked.

Walked close to Ramos with a hot iron and pressed it to his lap, Burning his thigh.

It left a big hole, and she quickly sprinkled some silver dust on it

Immediately, Ramos fell from the chair he was sitting on and began to writhe in pain.

He was in pain from the burn and the silver dust, which made his pain twice as intense.

We waited while writhing and wailing.

“This is just a sample of what we have in mind for you. If you want this to go as easily as possible, you’d better talk and save us some time,” Justine said, grinning.

I know my friend; she was ready for violence, and nothing makes her happier than making people who offended her feel pain.

“What about my family?” Ramos asked, and I rolled my eyes. The bastard is pretending to care about his family now. “Will they be safe if I tell you the truth? Please promise me, nothing will happen to them”

“You should have thought about that before deciding to betray the pack, don’t you think?” Maliya said. “Besides, you’re not in a position to negotiate with us”

I agree with Maliya. However, his family will not pay for what he did.

We are just using them as leverage to make him talk, and when he does, I will let them go.

“What happens to your family depends on how well you cooperate, Ramos,” I said. “Now, answer me, who a a forged, signed order to Enforcer Gilbert?””

“It was the boss,” Ramos said.

“Who is the boss?” I asked, “Where is he and why did he ask you o give Enforcer Gilbert a fake order?”

Ramos fell silent, and I grew impatient,

Annoyed, I glanced at Maliya, who sprinkled some silver dust in his face, and he went crazy.

said, and my friends smiled, knowing what I meant.

“Now, answer me!” I snapped. “Who the hell is this boss?!”

“Garry Walker,” he blurted out, tearfully, and I squinted.

“Garry?” I repeated. “What are you saying?” I asked.

I linked Theo to come inside, and soon he walked in with Zane.

Ramos shifted when he saw them. He was scared, and he should be.

“Repeat what you just said, Ramos”, I ordered coldly.

“I got an order from Garry Walker to deliver the order to enforcer Gilbert,” Ramos said, his jaw quivering.

“Why should we believe you? For all we know, you could be lying” Zane said. “And why would the spokesman do anything like that?”

“I don’t know why, but I swear, I was forced to do it, I’m telling the truth” Tears began to stream down his face.

“What do you mean?” Theo asked, looking him closely in the eye

Ramos lowered his head, shame probably washing over him.

“After I was relieved of my duties because you were leaving for the forest, I got a call from an anonymous guy; he threatened to kill my family if I didn’t do as he said. I was scared, so I did as was told.

They asked me to deliver the order to enforcer Gilbert, but trust me, I had no idea what the letter entailed.

It was later that I discovered the truth, and by then it was too late I was deep in the mess, and they had evidence against me.

When my consciousness wouldn’t let me live in peace, I wanted to come to you and tell the truth. That’s when I got a call from the boss himself, who I later found out was Garry Walker.

He warned me not to say anything, and if I did, he threatened to wipe out my entire family.

I knew they were not joking when they made my mate, Becky, miscarry our twin babies. She was pregnant, and they pushed her down a flight of stairs.

After Becky was discharged, they kept calling me, urging me to deliver more letters, but by then, you had abruptly returned.

They wanted me to disappear from everyone’s eyes, so they forced me to leave my family and go away without telling them anything.

It was the only way to keep them safe, So, I did what I thought was necessary to keep them away from danger”

I didn’t realise my heart was breaking for him until he finished narrating his story.

“What were you doing hanging around Kingspire and the 11th Hour club?” Theo asked.

“It’s on Garry Walker’s orders, your grace,” he asked me to work with his men.

Theo looked at me, and I had no words.

Who could have thought Garry was behind this attack? And he had never sat on the council and been the judge?

“Kappa Taylor, come in,” I said, and Taylor walked in. “I cuff his Iver and let him heal”

After saying this, we walked out of the room.

“Zane, look into this, make sure his story checks out”, Theo instructed.

“There is no need for that, Alpha,”, Justine said. “I looked into Garry on Kaia’s account, and I found the link between him and Ramos. My contact just texted me now, and Ramos is telling the ruth”

“But why would Garry do this?” I pondered. “I can’t make sense of it”

“I don’t know why, but we can get to the bottom of things when we catch him”, Theo suggested. I looked at him.

“I don’t think that’s the right thing to do right now,” I said, and they looked at me. “Ramos can be of help.”

I rushed back to the room, and they came after me.

While Ramos was breathing heavily from the torture, I walked in again, and he flinched.

“I have an offer for you, Ramos, it’s too good and I don’t think you can afford to miss out,” I said, looking at his face. “Would you like to hear it?”
