The packs outcast Luna (Kaia and Theo) novel Chapter 190

Chapter 190

~~Liora~~

I was getting bored in my room alone after Draven left for work.

Thank goodness, I thought I had lost him for a second, but it turned out he was unthinkingly in love with me and would take my side no matter what.

His action this morning reassured me that he was still mine, as he had been from the start.

I had overheard his mother slapping him when she found out about Kaia.

I ran back to my room and pretended I hadn’t heard anything.

Hours after Draven left, I decided to make coffee for myself.

The omegas could have done it, but I wanted to exercise my legs a little bit.

I padded into the kitchen with my hair tied loosely in a messy bun.

When I came in, nobody was there, and I was glad. I wasn’t in the mood to perform in front of Draven’s family.

After they treated me last night, I wasn’t ready for another round.

Last night’s event replayed over and over again in my mind.

Right now, all I wanted was coffee, something hot and bitter to clear my messy head.

After making my cup, I grabbed it and headed to the living area to relax.

But the moment I stepped into the doorway, I froze.

Because she was there, Draven’s mother.

She was sitting at the table with a mug and her back turned to me.

She was acting as if she owned the entire place.

Sure, she was once the Luna of the lack, but not anymore.

I Im the luna now, and I should be the one acting as she does.

I thought of going back to my room to avoid her, but before I could do that, her gaze lifted, and she caught me.

She looked cold and angry. I wonder if she was mad this early.

I forced a smile anyway.

“Good morning, Mom”, I chirped, reaching for the snack tray.

“It’s Cassandra to you,” she coldly said. “And clearly, you mean a good morning for you,” she said coolly. “It hasn’t been one for my son in a long time.”

I stiffened, rolling my eyes in my head.

Here we go again, I can’t stand this annoying woman.

“I don’t know what you mean,” I said sweetly, taking out a few biscuits from the container.

“Oh, but you do.” Her voice was bitter. “You always know exactly what you’re doing.”

I turned slightly, annoyance flaring hot in my chest.

“Is there a reason you’re talking to me like that this early?”

“Yes.” She folded her arms. “Because I’ve had enough of you ruining my son’s life. You climbed your way into his life while I wasn’t here, and now that I’m here, I intend to rectify all the mistakes my son made”

My jaw clenched.

I forced a laugh and leaned against the chape

Chapter 190

“You’ve always disliked me ever since you set your eyes on me, haven’t you? Nothing I do will ever change that.”

“Because I see you clearly,” she snapped. “You think you fooled everyone, but you can never fool me.” Cassandra’s eyes narrowed.

“You are not as innocent as you look, Liora” Cassandra looked at me as if her eyes could dig holes in my chest. “You separated Draven and Kaia, who were madly in love. You came in between them!”

The mention of her name made heat crawl up my neck.

Kais, it was always her.

Everyone sees her as sweet, perfect and innocent.

I swallowed my irritation.

“Kaia was banished for a reason. She wasn’t the saint you all think she was.” I said, irritated.

Cassandra stood up so fast her chair screeched across the floor.

“Watch your mouth.”

The command in her voice made a shiver run down my spine.

But I lifted my chin. “I’m Draven’s wife now, I’ll say what I want, especially when the truth of the matter revolves around me”

“You’re only his wife because he was broken,” she hissed. “And you-took advantage of that. Kaia supported him, strengthened him, loved him. You tore him down and filled the pieces with your lies.”

My breath caught. She was suspecting me.

The older woman was too damn perceptive.

“I didn’t lie about anything, I said sharply.

She stepped closer until she was inches from me.

“Really? I know Kaia like the back of my hand; she could never hurt anyone. Not even when her own life is at stake.” Cassandra pointed out, glaring into my eyes. “Suddenly, when you came around, she tried to kill you? That’s absurd. Not to mention, there was no concrete evidence. You fed my son with lies and got Kaia

banished for no reason”

My grip on the chair tightened. I was seething, but I tried to control myself.

“You dont know what you’re talking about,” I muttered.

“Or,” she said slowly, deliberately, “maybe I do, I know you are hiding something from Draven amd everyone. I hope my son will come to his senses soon and finally realise the woman he married isn’t who she pretends to be.”

My heart hammered as she repeated her words; she knew something, and that scares me.

“You don’t belong here,” she whispered. “You never did. And let me tell you something-if Kaia were still here, Draven would never have looked at you twice.”

Anger surged up hot and wild, slipping past my control.

“Kaia is gone!” I snapped. “She was banished, she’s out of his life! Why can’t you all accept that?”

Her eyes gleamed, Cold with disgust.

“Oh, poor you,” she murmured. “You are scared, aren’t you?”

I froze. What was she talking about?

“What?”

She smiled slowly and fixated her eyes on me again.

You are scared that “Kaia will come back and take back everything that you snatched from her. If I were you, I would be scared too. After all, Draven and Kaia have so much history together”

Chapter 190

My stomach dropped, Cassandra was taunting me, and it would be best if I dont fall for her tricks.

My hands shook, nails digging into my palms.

“Why didn’t Draven believe Kaia over me then?” I hissed before I could stop myself. “Clearly, the history they shared isn’t that important to him”
