The packs outcast Luna (Kaia and Theo) novel Chapter 201

Chapter 201

–Theo–

I didn’t know how long it took.

D:

We spent hours searching everywhere for Kaia, but nothing came of it.

Alpha Mathew suggested we return to the war room and strategise on how to find her.

At first, I didn’t want to come back without knowing where she was and what was happening to Kaia.

But deep down, I knew the truth: Kaia is not in the pack anymore, and it will be hard to track her down.

The war room felt too small and silent.

Auntie Morgana sat across from me, looking away, and I knew what she was thinking. She blamed herself for what happened to Kaia.

A warrior stepped forward, stiff with fear.

“We’ve searched the east gardens, the back border, and the lower ridge. There were signs of disturbance, but no clear scent trail.”

“No scent?” I repeated, my jaw tightened.

He hesitated. “The scent was deliberately masked, Alpha.”

Of course it was.

This wasn’t random; it was a carefully crafted plan.

My fist slammed into the table.

“She didn’t just disappear,” I growled. “Someone took her from inside your walls.”

Alpha Mathew stood at the head of the table, his expression dark but controlled.

“We’ve locked down all exits,” he said. “No one leaves the territory or enters without permission. Every warrior is on alert; we will find whoever did this.”

I gritted my teeth, seething with rage.

This wasn’t fast enough. By the time we get to her, Kaia would have suffered a lot.

“She’s pregnant,” I snapped, my voice breaking. I tried to control myself, but I couldn’t. “She shouldn’t even be in danger right now. She should be resting, not-”

My throat closed, and I couldn’t finish my sentence.

Katya stood near the window, her arms wrapped around herself, her eyes red.

She had been crying.

“She was fine,” she whispered. “We were just talking, laughing… and then she was just gone.” Her voice cracked. “I should’ve stayed with her.”

“No,” Luna Morgana said firmly, stepping closer to her daughter. “This is not your fault.”

She tried to comfort Katya, but her own voice trembled too.

She was trying to hold it together, but she wasn’t doing a very good job.

“Whoever did this,” she continued, turning to me, “knew our blind spots. The east garden isn’t heavily guarded during the day. It’s supposed to be safe.”

“Supposed to be,” I echoed coldly.

My wolf stirred violently beneath my skin.

Rage and guilt burned through me, and I felt an immense desire to draw blood.

“I brought her here,” I muttered, running a hand through my hair. “I told her she’d be safe here.”

“Kaia didn’t want to come. I forced her to come here, hoping she’d be safe”

No one answered. Because they all knew the truth, Kaia wasn’t safe here.

A warrior rushed in suddenly, breathless.

“Alpha! We found something!”

I turned instantly. “What?”

He stepped forward, holding out a piece of cloth.

My stomach dropped; it was Kaia’s.

“This is Kaia’s,” Katya said, looking at it. “She was wearing this last night when I saw her”

I took the fabric and clutched it. It was torn and had blood on it.

My hands trembled as I held it, and my wolf growled.

Her scent still clung faintly to it, my vision blurred red.

“She fought,” I said hoarsely.

“Alpha…” the warrior hesitated. “There’s more.”

“What?” My head snapped up.

Chapter 201

“We found a marking. Carved into one of the trees near the garden exit.”

Every muscle in my body tensed up.

“What kind of marking?”

The warrior swallowed.

“A skull… with a serpent wrapped around it.”

Luna Morgana’s hand flew to her mouth, and she looked at Alpha Mathew, whose face had dropped.

“No…” she muttered. “That’s not possible”

“Let’s go have a look,” Katya suggested. “It might lead us to Kaia, who knows?”

She immediately ran out with the warrior while we came after her.

The moment we stopped in front of the tree, Morgana shook her head in disbelief, and I was taken aback.

“What does this mean, Dad?” Katya asked, seeing her parents’ faces.

But I already knew what it was; my blood ran cold.

“That’s not just a symbol,” I said quietly. “It’s a signature.”

All eyes turned to me, and I didn’t hold back.

“That mark belongs to the same group behind the attacks on my pack.”

My jaw clenched.

Everyone looked horrified, especially Jatya, who gasped loudly.

Katya whispered, “You think… they took Kaia?”

“I don’t think,” I said coldly. “I know.”

I didn’t think they would go after Kaia when she left the Shadowclaw pack.

Everyone shifted instantly.

This wasn’t just a kidnapping anymore; they declared war on my pack by taking my Luna, and I’m not backing down from it anymore.

“Then we prepare for retaliation.” Alpha Mathew straightened. “Taking Kaia from my pack meant fishing for my attention, and I don’t hesitate to give it to them”

“No,” I cut in sharply. They all looked at me. “I’m not preparing,” I gritted, “I’m hunting every single one of them. And when I find them…” My fingers curled into fists. “I won’t leave anyone alive.”

“How are we going to find them?” Katya asked, looking worried, and I understood her concern.

“I don’t know, but I’m willing to pull everything I have together to get them”, I muttered with determination.

“Fine, let’s go inside and discuss this”, Alpha Mathew suggested, and we went inside.

“Kaia is my own daughter, I will not let any harm come to her”, Alpha Mathew said, cupping my hand. “I will fight with you until we bring Kaia home”

I breathed, trying to take everything out.

My chest was in pain, and all I wanted to do was punch the wall.

I stood up, pacing around.

Just then, someone walked in, and I eagerly turned to see.

I was disappointed when I saw that it was Miguel, walking in casually and unbothered.

He had his earphones pulled in and was swaying, his hands tucked into his pockets.

My wolf growled low with annoyance, and I wonder why.

Something felt off about it.

“Miguel,” Luna Morgana called, her voice tight with restrained emotion. “Where have you been?”

He paused mid-step, blinking as he’d just walked into something unexpected.

“At a friend’s place,” he said easily. “There was a party.”

My jaw tightened. He was out there partying while Kaia was being taken.

I cut the thought off before it consumed me.

Morgana stepped closer, her eyes scanning him.

“A party?” she repeated slowly. “You’ve been gone for hours. No one could reach you.”

“My phone died,” he shrugged. “Didn’t think it was a big deal.”

I watched him carefully.

Then his gaze shifted and landed on me.

Then his brows lifted in what looked like surprise.

“Theo?” he said. “What are you doing here?”

My eyes locked onto his.

“Why? Can’t I be here? I said coldly.

He frowned slightly, like he didn’t understand the tension in the room.

Morgana’s voice broke the moment.

“Miguel…” she said softly.
