Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 104

Julian gave her a lingering look, then glanced at Dominic standing a short distance away. His lips parted, but he ultimately settled for, "Yell if you need me."

Seraphina nodded and walked toward Dominic.

The two of them stopped beneath a pillar on the side of the main hall.

Seraphina stood still, lifting her gaze to meet his. "Go ahead. What do you want?"

Dominic stared back, his eyes swirling with an unreadable, turbulent emotion.

After a long pause, he finally spoke, his tone dripping with scrutiny. "I didn't expect you to still be this scheming, Seraphina."

Seraphina blinked, flashing him a look of genuine bewilderment.

Dominic's frown deepened. "Did you think latching onto Zenith would give you the leverage to step on me? Let me tell you, you don't have what it takes."

Seraphina stared at him, suddenly finding the entire situation incredibly amusing.

"Mr. Lockwood, did you seriously call me over just to say that?"

She had been with him for six years. From the very beginning, he had accused her of being manipulative, and in the past, she would have desperately tried to explain herself.

But no matter what she said, nobody ever believed her, so she eventually stopped trying.

She just never imagined that even now, after everything, Dominic would still throw that word at her.

Once upon a time, hearing him call her scheming would have broken her heart. Now, she realized she felt absolutely nothing.

"Mr. Lockwood, I didn't come over here to bicker with you about this. I believe I made the reasons regarding the proposals perfectly clear in the conference room. Stop wasting your time harassing me."

"I came over to remind you to draft reasonable terms for the divorce agreement as soon as possible."

"I want a fifty-fifty split of the assets. Give me what is rightfully mine. Dragging this out won't do you any favors."

Dominic's pupils constricted slightly.

He stared at the woman standing before him under the dim, amber lights; her face was impossibly calm, projecting an aura of quiet strength.

Dominic started the engine, his fingers gripping the steering wheel tight.

"Whatever happens to her is none of our business," he said, his voice dropping to a glacial chill. "And I certainly have no obligation to warn her about anything."

Cynthia shot him a glance and wisely chose not to push the subject, though she couldn't stop the corners of her lips from curving upward.

She pulled her phone from her purse, opened a text thread, and held the screen in front of Dominic.

"Look at this, Dominic."

The screen displayed a reply from a contact with a professional headshot. The name was saved as 'K Corporation - Mr. Vance'.

The message was just a single line:

[You're too kind, Ms. Ross. Since you're the one making the introduction, I will absolutely prioritize a meeting. Whenever you and Mr. Lockwood are available, feel free to stop by.]

Cynthia smiled brightly. "Mr. Vance just replied. He says he can schedule a meeting with us at any time."
