Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 119

She spun on her heel to leave.

Madeline's voice screeched from behind her. "Seraphina Sinclair, you stop right there! What kind of attitude is that? Is this how the Sinclair family raised you?"

Seraphina halted and whirled back around. "It's still better than the Lockwood family's upbringing."

Madeline froze, her face instantly twisting in fury. "You little bitch."

She lunged forward, raising her right hand to slap Seraphina across the face.

Seraphina instinctively dodged backward. Right at that moment, blinding headlights slashed across the road.

A black sedan aggressively pulled up to the curb. The driver's door swung open, and Julian stormed out.

"Seraphina!"

His voice carried such immense authority that it pinned Madeline's raised hand firmly in mid-air.

Julian marched over to Seraphina's side and used his tall frame to completely block Madeline's line of sight.

He glared coldly at Madeline's suspended hand and snapped, "What exactly do you think you're doing to my friend?"

Madeline's expression cycled through several shades of shock before settling into sheer disbelief.

She slowly lowered her hand. "Your friend? Mr. Shaw, is your friend..."

Julian remained firmly planted in front of Seraphina, his tone dropping to sub-zero. "Seraphina Sinclair. My friend."

Madeline's face stiffened, her lips parting in a silent gasp.

It took her several long seconds to recover her voice. "How is that possible? She's just a worthless housewife! How could she possibly be friends with you?"

"You think I don't know who my own friend is?" Julian glared fiercely at Madeline.

"I don't even dare raise my voice at her, yet you think you have the right to treat her like this? The partnership between our companies is officially terminated!"

Julian rolled his eyes in disgust, then turned his head to Seraphina, dropping his voice to a gentle murmur. "You can absolutely make the call for me, but don't involve yourself in this mess."

Seraphina smiled faintly, opting not to reply.

She had absolutely zero interest in bailing Madeline out.

Seeing Seraphina remain silent, Madeline was burning with infuriated anxiety. Unable to lash out, she pivoted her desperate gaze back to Julian. "Mr. Shaw, our plant has been partnered with your company for quite some time now, and there has never been a single issue. You can't just terminate us over such a trivial matter..."

Julian cut her off instantly. "Disrespecting Seraphina is not a trivial matter."

"I..." Madeline choked.

Dominic, who had been standing on the sidelines, narrowed his eyes. He stepped forward to stand beside Madeline. His tone was steady, carrying the practiced, polished diplomacy of a seasoned businessman.

"Mr. Shaw, correct? I'm Dominic Lockwood from The Lockwood Group. My sister spoke out of turn just now, and I apologize on her behalf. I sincerely hope you will reconsider the partnership."

After finishing, he offered a slight nod—a posture that was neither arrogant nor subservient, while subtly extending an olive branch.
