She paused, a hint of frustration slipping into her voice. "I wanted to meet with their manager face-to-face, but they said he's out of town on a business trip and won't be in Northport for the next couple of days. However... I got a solid tip that he'll be at the East End facility tomorrow. We'll head over there, talk to him in person, and lock the contract down."
Cynthia's eyes lit up. "Thank you so much, Madeline."
Madeline's gaze softened with genuine appreciation.
She patted the back of Cynthia's hand, her tone turning deeply affectionate. "Look at you. You're working for the Lockwood family, yet you care more than I do. Having someone like you at Lockwood's is our true blessing."
Cynthia's cheeks flushed. "Don't say that, Madeline. I just want to see the company grow and thrive. Once we sign with Keystone, the path to our overseas partnership is wide open. When that happens, no one will ever look down on the Lockwood family again."
She meant every word. She genuinely wanted the company to succeed. Dominic was the one spending money on her, and the wealthier he got, the more she stood to gain.
More importantly, she was furious that so many people were backing Seraphina. If The Lockwood Group thrived, her status as their lead designer would skyrocket, giving her the perfect leverage to crush Seraphina entirely!
"Exactly!"
Madeline's expression turned predatory.
"Once that contract is signed, we'll show everyone what real power looks like. Especially that bitch, Seraphina. Let's see what her supposed 'big shot' connections can do then. When Lockwood's supply chain goes global, she'll be crying tears of regret. Everyone who stood by her will wish they hadn't."
"She deserves to spend the rest of her life beneath our boots."
Cynthia smiled, her gaze drifting into the distance, a cold, calculating gleam in her eyes.
Meanwhile.
Sitting in the passenger seat of Julian's car, Seraphina remained entirely oblivious to the venomous plotting in the West End.
The car soon pulled up to her apartment building.
Julian parked and turned to look at her. "We're here. Get some rest. Don't stay up all night reading files again."
Seraphina smiled faintly. "I know. Drive safe on your way back, Julian."
"Will do." Julian waved.
Seraphina opened the door, stepped out, and headed toward her building's entrance.
Seraphina nodded. "Thank you for the trouble."
Nate waved it off and led her inside.
The facility was massive, with raw materials stacked meticulously by batch.
Nate explained the logistics as they walked.
Seraphina randomly inspected several piles.
The materials were exceptional, consistently maintaining the high quality they were known for.
A relieved smile graced her lips. "Mr. Lawson, you've done an excellent job here. The quality of this batch is incredibly stable. We'll be able to process this with highly precise specifications on our end. Thank you for your hard work."
Hearing her praise, Nate's smile grew entirely genuine. "Rest assured, Ms. Sinclair. Keystone guarantees strict quality control for every single batch. We absolutely will not delay Zenith Energy's progress."
They spent the next hour verifying the specifications for the upcoming deliveries and cross-checking the schedule. Once everything was confirmed, Nate took her through the workshop, detailing the downstream processing procedures.
