Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 134

She tied the cloth bag shut, holding it by the strings as her gaze shifted toward the center of the exhibition.

Quite a crowd had gathered there, a hum of noisy chatter drifting from the group.

She walked over and peered inside.

In the very center of the display stand rested a sizable rough stone. Its crust was fine and evenly textured, exuding a subtle, luminous sheen.

A placard stood next to it, detailing its origin and weight, but there was no price tag.

The crowd was buzzing with discussion.

"This piece looks incredibly promising. A stone this size has to be worth at least fifty million, conservatively."

"Fifty million? You're lowballing it. Look at that crust, that clarity. If it cuts open to reveal solid emerald green, it'll be worth well over a hundred million."

"A hundred million might be a stretch, but it's easily an eighty-million-dollar stone."

"Regardless, it definitely won't come cheap."

Standing on the periphery, Seraphina observed the stone's crust and the luster of its cut surface, forming her own assessment.

The material was genuinely top-tier—premium grade with exceptional clarity. If cut into bracelets, it would be stunning.

But over a hundred million was indeed an exaggeration.

Squeezing her way to the display stand, she reached out, picked up the stone, and carefully rubbed her fingers over it.

The surrounding crowd noticed her, their gazes turning in her direction as they tried to guess how much this young woman was prepared to offer.

Seraphina looked at the owner standing nearby and asked for the price.

Seeing a young woman examining such a massive piece alone, the owner sized her up but gave a straightforward quote. "Thirty million."

The crowd fell silent for a moment.

Thirty million—it wasn't a low price, but it wasn't outrageous either.

Seraphina offered a faint smile. "Ten million."

However, the moment her words fell, another female voice rang out from the crowd.

"Miss, this lady asked for the price first. I have to negotiate with her."

Cynthia waved him off dismissively. "Boss, she's offering ten million, and I'm offering thirty. You're in business to make a profit, aren't you? Don't make an enemy out of money."

Seraphina watched her coldly.

Although she hadn't paid much attention to high-society circles over the past few years, she knew a bit about the Ross family's current financial situation.

Their business had been declining year after year, their market share squeezed to practically nothing, and they were drowning in external debt.

Let alone thirty million, Cynthia probably couldn't even scrape together ten million.

A faint smirk touched Seraphina's lips. "You can't afford thirty million either."

As soon as she spoke, a deep, commanding voice resonated through the area.

"She can afford it. She can afford anything she wants."

Seraphina's chest tightened. Dominic Lockwood had arrived.
