Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 138

In the end, the stone went to Seraphina for five hundred and ten million.

Standing behind the display counter, the owner still felt as though he were hallucinating.

He had been in the gemstone trade for years and never imagined a single piece of rough jadeite could fetch an astronomical price of five hundred and ten million.

He looked cautiously at Seraphina. "Miss... are you sure you want this?"

Seraphina nodded. "I do."

She pulled the black card from her bag and handed it over.

Taking the card, the owner swiped it through the machine, keyed in the massive sum, and hit confirm.

A crisp chime signaled a successful transaction, and the word "Approved" flashed across the screen.

A low hum of discussion immediately broke out among the crowd.

Five hundred and ten million, and that woman didn't even bat an eyelid. Just who exactly was she?

At that exact moment, Dominic's phone buzzed.

He glanced down at the screen. It was a bank transaction alert, the amount clearly stated: $510,000,000.00. His pupils sharply contracted.

So, the card she had just swiped... was his?

Dominic's pupils shrank even tighter, his fingers gripping the phone so hard they nearly dug into his palms.

He looked up, his gaze cutting through the crowd to land on Seraphina.

She was just tucking the raw stone into her handbag.

Standing beside him, Cynthia noticed his shifting expression and leaned in. "What's wrong?"

Her eyes swept over his screen, catching the string of digits, and her face instantly darkened.

So, the card Seraphina used belonged to Dominic.

Five hundred and ten million. What right did Seraphina have to spend that? That money rightfully belonged to her, Cynthia!

Dominic stared at Seraphina, his gaze as cold as solid ice.

Clad in a dark overcoat, he was tall and commanding, his features sharp and impassive, radiating the composed, unshakable aura of a man seated at the absolute pinnacle of power.

Gideon Cole.

The moment he appeared, the crowd instinctively stepped back, clearing a path for him.

Dominic's expression shifted drastically.

The hostility he had been emanating just seconds ago faded the instant he saw Gideon. The deep crease between his brows relaxed, replaced by a subtle, restrained deference he rarely showed in public.

"Uncle Gideon," he greeted, his tone far more placid than before, even carrying a trace of respect.

Cynthia quickly echoed the greeting. "Uncle Gideon."

Gideon's gaze swept past Dominic's face, as if he had heard them, yet simultaneously as if they were nothing but air.

He frowned almost imperceptibly and offered no response, walking straight past the two of them until he stood before Seraphina.

Tilting his head, his eyes settled on her face. His voice remained cool and detached, yet it carried a weight that everyone present could feel. "Ms. Sinclair, you have quite the audacity."
