Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 144

"Next time, I'll take you to Myanmar to look at the mines directly and pick the absolute best."

Cynthia finally managed a small smile. "Okay."

Seeing her smile, Dominic offered one in return. "Come on, let's look around somewhere else. The mall has plenty of other things to see. Whatever you like, we'll buy."

He led Cynthia away from the crowd, not forgetting to cast one last glare at Seraphina before they left.

Meanwhile, Seraphina was busy counting the zeros on her phone screen before nodding. "Received. Thank you, Mr. Cole."

She handed over the freshly cut Imperial green stone.

Gideon took it, looking thoroughly satisfied.

"Ms. Sinclair, the quality is exceptional. It's perfect for a bracelet."

He put the stone away. "Do you have any other plans next?"

Seraphina slipped her phone into her pocket and said, "I actually do have something quite urgent to take care of. Mr. Cole, I won't hold you up any longer."

With that, Seraphina turned to leave.

She really did have an emergency that required immediate attention.

Gideon watched her back, a faint smile touching his lips.

Myles, who was standing beside him, widened his eyes in disbelief. His boss had just been rejected?

Seraphina had only taken a few steps before Julian Shaw caught up to her.

"Seraphina, I just turned my head to look at something else, why did you run off?"

Seraphina smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, Julian. Something urgent came up on my end, and I ended up leaving you behind."

Julian waved it off. "It's fine. Where are you going? I'll drop you off."

"Wait for me outside then. I have a quick errand to run, and I'll be right out."

Julian didn't press for details. "Alright, I'll wait for you at the mall entrance. Take your time."

He turned and strode away.

This child was still as stubborn as ever.

Seraphina walked out of the lounge without breaking her stride, heading straight down the corridor toward the main entrance of the mall.

However, just as she turned a corner into a more secluded hallway, a figure stepped out from the side, blocking her path.

Seraphina abruptly stopped and looked up.

Dominic stood in front of her, his expression ice-cold, his dark eyes locked onto her.

"The card." He held out his hand, his tone devoid of a single ounce of warmth. "Give it back to me."

Seraphina looked at his entitled demeanor, a cold chill sweeping through her heart.

This man had always been so callous.

Thank God she had the foresight to hand everything over to old Mrs. Lockwood first.

Her voice remained perfectly calm. "I've already given the stone to Grandma, and I returned the card to her as well. If you want it, go ask Grandma for it."
