Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 153

But in front of all these onlookers, she refused to back down. "No, I won't. What are you gonna—Ah!"

Before Yvette could finish her sentence, Seraphina swiftly picked up a half-empty glass of iced tea from a nearby table and splashed it directly onto the back of Yvette's hand.

Yvette snatched her hand back, gasping. "Seraphina! You psycho!"

Seraphina set the glass down and turned back to support Jenna. "Let's go."

Jenna nodded.

As they were about to leave, Seraphina glanced over her shoulder at Yvette, her voice glacial. "I'll be telling old Mrs. Lockwood exactly what happened today."

With that, she guided Jenna forward.

Behind her, panic flared in Yvette's eyes.

In the entire Lockwood family, she wasn't afraid of anyone except old Mrs. Lockwood.

The matriarch was getting on in years, but she still ruled the family with an iron fist. Yvette had just been severely punished by her recently, and if this incident reached the old lady's ears, there was no telling what the consequences would be.

Yvette's lips trembled before she lunged forward. Without a care in the world, she shoved Jenna out of the way and grabbed Seraphina's wrist.

"Seraphina, you are not telling her!"

The forceful shove sent Jenna stumbling, her body pitching awkwardly to the side.

Reacting instantly, Seraphina shoved Yvette away and used her free hand to grip Jenna's arm, pulling the pregnant woman safely toward her.

"Are you okay?" she asked in a low voice.

Jenna shook her head. Her face was deathly pale, but she managed to stay on her feet.

Seraphina's counter-shove knocked Yvette completely off balance. She landed hard on the floor.

Her tailbone ached from the impact.

"Seraphina! You bitch! You keep attacking me! I want you to—"

Before she could spit out the word 'die,' Seraphina snapped her head back, shooting her a gaze so fierce and icy that Yvette flinched, her screech dying in her throat.

Seraphina withdrew her gaze, turning her attention back to supporting Jenna. "Let's go."

But before they could even take a single step, a dark, heavy voice echoed from the hallway entrance.

Dominic's icy gaze snapped toward her, cutting off her words.

It was a fleeting look, as if she wasn't even worth a second glance, but the chilling dominance in his eyes was enough to send a cold shiver down any ordinary person's spine.

Jenna's back went rigid, and she didn't dare say another word.

She recognized Dominic Lockwood.

He was the wealthiest man in Northport, a billionaire who could eclipse the sun with one hand.

She was just a mid-level project manager making a regular salary. She didn't even have the luxury of offending a man sitting at the very peak of Northport's hierarchy.

Seraphina pulled Jenna further behind her, tilting her chin up to meet Dominic's stare directly.

"Why don't you ask her what she did?"

"She deliberately shoved a pregnant woman, scalded her with hot tea, and refused to apologize."

Dominic's gaze shifted slightly, as if finally noticing Jenna's swollen belly and the large, dark tea stain on her sleeve.
