Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 196

She had noticed the moment Seraphina walked in.

While she had expected Seraphina to show up, she never imagined the woman would secure such a prime VIP seat.

Scanning the entire venue, there were plenty of elite figures present, but even the Lockwood Group didn't have the clout to snag a spot in that specific row.

That bitch Seraphina must have used some underhanded trick again.

Cynthia clenched her fists, and before she could even process the anger, she watched Tristan Spencer stand up just to redirect an air conditioning vent for Seraphina.

Her jaw clenched tight enough to ache.

A wave of indescribable, burning jealousy surged in her chest.

Tristan Spencer, the reigning prince of the northern business circle, was famously aloof and notorious for keeping his distance from women.

Yet here he was, personally playing the attentive gentleman for Seraphina.

Cynthia's nails dug violently into her palms.

Right at that moment, Tristan's gaze swept in her direction. His eyes were flat, devoid of any discernible emotion, yet chillingly predatory.

Cynthia's back stiffened in fear, and she smoothly averted her eyes, pretending to focus entirely on Dominic.

Tristan withdrew his gaze, a faint smirk touching his lips—half-amused, half-mocking.

He glanced back at Seraphina, silently marveling at how incredibly blind Dominic Lockwood truly was.

"Still cold?"

Tristan asked, already reaching for the lapels of his suit jacket. "This is brand new, I just put it on today. You can drape it over your shoulders."

Seraphina finally realized he had adjusted the vent because he noticed she was freezing.

She quickly waved her hands. "No, no, I'm perfectly fine now. Thank you, Mr. Spencer."

Seeing her firm refusal, Tristan didn't push the issue. He settled his jacket back into place and sat up straight.

The official agenda kicked off on stage, with the massive screens displaying the latest data in nuclear research.

Seraphina immediately pulled her focus to the presentation, occasionally leaning over to murmur a brief discussion with Tristan.

Whenever she used highly complex technical jargon, Tristan's eyes lit up with genuine delight.

The seminar officially began.

The host walked onto the stage, holding a cue card.

"Next, please welcome the Chief Technology Engineer of the Lockwood Group's nuclear division, Ms. Cynthia Ross, who will share the latest application advancements in the field."

Applause erupted through the hall.

Cynthia stood up and looked affectionately down at Dominic.

Dominic shifted in his seat, draped an arm over the back of her chair, and whispered something softly to her.

Seraphina happened to look up just in time to catch the moment.

She was too far away to hear the words, but the visual was perfectly clear.

She saw the gentle curve of Dominic's lips and the tender, doting look in his eyes.

It was a look she had never received once in their six years of marriage.

Seraphina calmly withdrew her gaze, looked down at her notebook, picked up her pen, and focused entirely on the blank page in front of her.
