Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 204

Yvette tipped her chin aggressively in Seraphina's direction.

A country bumpkin like Seraphina, raised in some backwater town, had probably never even seen a luxury pool, let alone learned how to swim.

If they dragged her along, her complete inability to swim would be put on full display, and Tristan would finally see what a pathetic joke she was.

A gleam of triumph flashed in Cynthia's eyes, though she feigned hesitation. "I don't know... is that really a good idea?"

"What's wrong with it!" Yvette scoffed, already marching back into the room.

At that moment, Seraphina was alone, quietly inspecting a newly installed piece of machinery.

Yvette strode right up to her, tilting her head with arrogance. "Hey. There's a swimming race going on outside. Come join us."

Seraphina didn't even look up. "Not interested."

Cynthia offered a delicate smile. "Seraphina, it's rare for you to get out. Come have some fun. You can't just bury yourself in all this boring equipment every single day; you'll go crazy."

Seraphina couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Cynthia, there is absolutely no need for us to pretend we're best friends. We have nothing in common, and you know it."

Before Cynthia could formulate a reply, Yvette flared up. "Seraphina, don't be a bitch! Cynthia personally invited you, so stop acting like you're above us."

Cynthia gently tugged on Yvette's sleeve. "Forget it, Yvette. Seraphina has always misunderstood my intentions. If she doesn't want to join us, it's fine."

Seraphina shifted her gaze to Cynthia.

"Misunderstood?" She let out a dry scoff. "Since when is sleeping with another woman's husband considered a simple misunderstanding?"

Cynthia's face drained of all color.

Yvette's face flushed bright red with fury. "What do you mean, stealing someone's husband! You were the shameless one who climbed into his bed first! In any marriage, the unloved woman is the real homewrecker!"

Seraphina looked at Yvette and merely smiled.

That unnervingly calm smile made Yvette's skin crawl. She was about to yell again when a voice interrupted from behind.

"Ah, here you all are."

A group of men strolled through the doorway, led by a tall, lanky man wearing a disgustingly flashy shirt.

It was Harvey Jameson, Gideon's spoiled cousin.

He had arrived alongside Tristan and Dominic.

Seraphina paused. Now that was an offer she could entertain; after all, nobody in their right mind walked away from free money.

She glanced back at Harvey, flashing a faint smile. "Alright. I'm in."

Harvey scoffed loudly in disbelief. "Wow, you're actually going to race? Like you even have a chance at winning. Whatever, you'll make a great prop to make Cynthia look even better."

With that, he turned to Cynthia, his sneer melting into an incredibly tender expression.

"Cynthia, you're such an elite swimmer, this prize money is basically yours. When you win, I'll hand-deliver it to you."

Cynthia beamed brightly.

Seraphina remained completely unfazed.

Harvey threw a dirty look at Seraphina and snorted.

"You can't back out now, Seraphina. Here are the rules: the winner takes the cash, and the loser has to wash the winner's feet in public. On top of that, you have to get down and say..."

He paused, a vicious smirk pulling at his lips.

"'I am a complete failure.'"
