He had heard the news and knew about Arthur's partnership with Gideon.
He also knew Seraphina was the one pulling the strings behind the scenes.
His eyes narrowed thoughtfully.
Suddenly, he realized Seraphina actually possessed some real capability.
Securing a deal with The Cole Group was notoriously difficult; even he struggled to land a partnership with them.
Yet, Seraphina had already facilitated multiple successful deals.
The look in his eyes as he stared at her grew increasingly unfathomable.
Cynthia noticed his distraction and followed his gaze upward, spotting Seraphina and Gideon dining together.
Gideon was in the middle of serving a piece of food onto Seraphina's plate.
Cynthia's face drained of color.
What right did Seraphina have to earn Gideon Cole's favor?
She clenched her fists, desperate to spit out an insult, but one look at Gideon's imposing presence made her bite her tongue.
Furthermore, she could see a complex array of emotions swirling in Dominic's eyes. Taking a deep breath, she forced a soft smile and began discussing the menu with him.
Dominic's attention was finally pulled back.
Yet, his gaze couldn't help but drift back toward his wife. Even though Cynthia tried to keep his focus on her, she too couldn't resist casting venomous glances at Seraphina.
Seraphina had already noticed the commotion downstairs. She looked down again, this time locking eyes directly with Cynthia.
Seeing Seraphina's attention, Cynthia immediately clung to Dominic, pressing her entire body against his, her eyes brimming with provocation.
Seraphina let out a dismissive hum, retracted her gaze, and nonchalantly took a sip of her tea.
Following her gaze, Gideon glanced downstairs and spotted Dominic and Cynthia, his expression remaining entirely neutral.
He raised a hand, summoning the manager.
The manager rushed over, bowing slightly as Gideon whispered a few instructions.
The manager remained entirely unruffled. "We will certainly take your advice into consideration. However, our boss specifically noted that having guests with compromised morals and a history of infidelity present ruins the appetite. Our boss values a pleasant dining environment, so we ask for your understanding."
The moment those words fell, the whispers in the lobby erupted into a chorus of gossip.
Cynthia's face went from red to chalk-white, her nails practically digging into her palms.
Dominic's expression turned pitch-black, a suffocating aura of wrath radiating from him, making everyone nearby step back.
He clenched his fists, ultimately forcing out just two cold words: "Let's go."
Cynthia gritted her teeth and followed him, but before stepping out, she glared up at the second floor one last time.
Seraphina was holding her teacup, raising an eyebrow at her with an unconcealed smirk of triumph.
She had deliberately provoked Cynthia, and it had worked flawlessly.
A vicious, surging hatred flashed in Cynthia's eyes.
If Seraphina's reputation was dragged through the mud, would Gideon Cole still want anything to do with her?
