Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 236

She paused, her voice tinged with immense satisfaction. "Once I get my hands on that money, I can spend it however I want, and I'll never have to look at my mother-in-law's bitter face ever again. Hahaha."

Chelsea's voice rose excitedly. "You should have done this ages ago! I completely support you. We're going to live like queens..."

In Room 306, Winifred's hands clenched into tight fists. She shot up from the bed, her facial mask crinkling as her eyes went wide with rage.

That little bitch actually thought she could take more than half of the Lockwood family's fortune?

Keep dreaming.

She wouldn't let her touch a single penny.

Winifred lay back down, taking a sharp breath, her eyes gleaming with terrifying malice.

A few days later, Seraphina received a call from Winifred.

She answered, greeted by Winifred's voice, which carried a rare, forced warmth.

"Seraphina, I'm hosting a charity gathering at The Fernwood Estate in a couple of days. I've invited quite a few ladies from our social circle over for tea, and I'd love for you to join us."

The Fernwood Estate was Winifred's private property, a place she almost never allowed Seraphina to set foot in—except, of course, when she needed her for free labor.

Seraphina's tone was perfectly flat. "I apologize, but I've been quite busy lately. I won't be able to make it."

There was a pause on the other end, and when Winifred spoke again, the suppressed fury was palpable. "As a mother, how long has it been since you last saw your own daughter? Come over and see your child."

Seraphina's grip on her phone tightened.

She closed her eyes for a brief second.

"Fine, I'll be there."

Hanging up, she took a deep breath.

She knew perfectly well that Winifred's invitation had nothing to do with seeing Lily. Her daughter was merely bait.

To think Winifred was willing to weaponize a child just to set a trap for her!

Her fists clenched tighter.

If Winifred wanted to play games, Seraphina was more than ready to play along.

Two days later, at The Fernwood Estate.

"Look at her, so unpresentable. She doesn't even know how to socialize. What an absolute embarrassment."

Cynthia's smirk deepened, though she feigned a tone of absolute sweetness. "It's alright, Winifred. As long as she can manage the household chores, that's what matters."

That comment hit Winifred right where it hurt, and her expression soured further.

"She's useless at chores, and she can't even raise a child properly. She's completely worthless."

The more she spoke, the angrier she got. How dared someone like Seraphina think she could steal half their family's wealth?!

Over her dead body. Today, she was going to show Seraphina just how delusional she really was!

Lowering her eyelids, Winifred took a sip of tea, masking the venomous intent swirling in her eyes.

Seraphina, completely unbothered by their scheming, sat quietly in her chair.

Her phone screen lit up with a video message from Chelsea.

She tapped it open, watched the clip to the end, and a slow, calculated smile spread across her lips.
