Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 239

Safely inside Lily's room, Seraphina watched Chelsea's live surveillance feed. Only after seeing Cynthia enter the lounge did she finally open the door and slip out.

Faint laughter drifted up from the floor below.

Steering clear of the crowd, she quietly exited The Fernwood Estate.

As she rounded the street corner, a black sedan parked by the curb flashed its headlights twice.

Seraphina walked over, opened the door, and slid inside.

Chelsea was glued to the surveillance monitor on the dashboard.

The screen was currently broadcasting the highly explicit encounter between Dominic and Cynthia.

The two were deeply entangled, completely inseparable in the heat of passion.

Chelsea abruptly slammed the monitor shut, looking at Seraphina with a hint of concern.

"Babe, please don't be sad. He's absolute trash, completely worthless."

Seraphina let out a light laugh. "Don't worry, I'm not sad."

She tapped the screen back on, watching the feed without blinking.

"The resolution is great. This is exactly the capital I need to negotiate with him."

She pointed a finger at the screen. "Once we cut this segment, it'll be the ultimate leverage against him."

Seeing that Seraphina truly showed zero signs of heartbreak, Chelsea finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Awesome. That's why I love you. You know when to cut your losses, and you don't let anyone intimidate you."

Seraphina smiled, her eyes still on the screen, and couldn't help but praise, "Chelsea, the private investigators you hired this time are incredible."

Chelsea wiggled her eyebrows smugly.

"Hey, I didn't even expect it. It was a lucky coincidence."

She leaned in and lowered her voice. "The team I hired is actually a subsidiary of The Cole Group. Their efficiency is terrifyingly good, and they charged way less than those shady street detectives."

Seraphina paused.

The Cole Group.

No wonder they managed to plant hidden cameras in a highly secure private residence like The Fernwood Estate, and no wonder the footage was this crystal clear.

"No wonder they got the job done so flawlessly."

Chelsea nodded, swiftly changing the subject, and pointed toward a sketchy van parked at the intersection ahead.

Seraphina nodded.

Chelsea started the car and peeled away from the intersection.

Before long, they arrived at The Ginger Bistro.

The restaurant wasn't massive, but it was highly renowned among food connoisseurs, specializing in authentic home-style cuisine.

Chelsea parked the car and dragged Seraphina inside.

The lobby was packed to the brim with customers.

Just as the two walked up to the host stand, Seraphina's gaze suddenly froze.

Sitting at a table by the window was Lily.

The nanny had brought her here to eat.

Several small dishes were arranged in front of Lily, but she was merely stabbing at the vegetables with her silverware, refusing to take a bite.

The nanny hovered beside her, constantly trying to coax her into eating.

Lily sat with her lips jutted out in a pout, looking utterly drained of energy, her little face sagging with pure impatience.
