Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 255

Later that evening, Seraphina left work.

As she walked down the quiet path toward her apartment, her mind was still focused on unresolved data from her shift.

Right as she reached a corner, heavy footsteps echoed behind her.

Before she could turn around, a burlap sack was violently shoved over her head.

Her world went pitch black.

"Mmph!"

She thrashed wildly, but her attacker was massive. He effortlessly hoisted her into the air and tossed her into the backseat of a waiting car.

Before she could orient herself, the doors slammed shut, and the engine roared to life.

Heart racing, Seraphina forced herself to stay calm, straining her ears to track the ambient sounds outside.

She had no idea how much time had passed before the car finally jerked to a stop.

She was dragged out, forced to stumble forward, and shoved hard into a chair.

The sack was ripped off. Blinding white light assaulted her eyes, making her squint.

As her vision adjusted, she realized she was facing three hulking men.

The leader, chewing on an unlit cigarette, looked her up and down with a repulsive leer.

"What do you want?" Seraphina demanded. "This is a felony!"

The leader scoffed.

"A felony? You should really check who sent us, sweetheart. Mr. Lockwood calls the shots. Who cares if it's illegal? He's paying for the cleanup."

Seraphina's breath hitched.

Dominic.

He had actually hired goons to kidnap her?!

"He sent you to teach me a lesson?"

The man flashed a vile grin. "The boss said you made Ms. Ross lose her baby. We're supposed to make you beg for mercy on camera, just to make sure you learn your place."

"If you're smart, you'll get on your knees and apologize nicely. Once we get the video, we're out of here. But if you don't..."

He cracked his knuckles menacingly.

Pure rage surged through Seraphina's veins.

All three men were now groaning on the floor at her feet, unable to get back up.

Breathing heavily, Seraphina was about to speak when the heavy warehouse doors violently burst open.

"Seraphina!"

Chelsea's frantic voice rang out first.

Right behind her strode Gideon Cole.

He was an imposing figure, his sharp features made even more intimidating by his dark overcoat.

His gaze locked onto Seraphina, and he halted abruptly.

Why were there three men groaning in a heap on the ground?

Chelsea gasped in awe. "Wow. You totally just wrecked them all by yourself."

Seraphina dropped the knife. "They came at me. It was self-defense."

Chelsea hurried over and grabbed her, checking her from head to toe. "Are you hurt?"

Seraphina shook her head and looked past her. "Gideon, what are you doing here?"
