The woman wore a champagne gown, looking gentle and elegant.
Dominic Lockwood was dressed in a black suit, his tall frame exuding a cold, formidable aura.
As soon as they entered, they were surrounded by the crowd.
Seraphina Sinclair frowned, her mood instantly souring.
Chelsea Sterling spotted them too, her expression darkening.
"I can't believe this. I forgot to tell Ethan not to invite these kinds of people."
She turned to Seraphina. "Seraphina, I really had no idea they'd be here. If I had known, I never would have brought you."
Seraphina looked indifferent. "It's fine. We aren't the ones who should feel guilty. If they don't feel embarrassed, we certainly don't need to."
Chelsea opened her mouth but swallowed her retort.
Just then, Dominic and his companion noticed Seraphina. His gaze instinctively turned sharp.
Cynthia Ross tugged at his sleeve, pulling his attention back to her.
A corporate executive stood before them, offering a bright smile and a toast.
Dominic gave a slight nod and wrapped an arm around Cynthia's waist. "Hello, Mr. Lancaster. Let me introduce you. This is my partner."
Even as he said the word "partner," his eyes flicked toward Seraphina's direction.
Seraphina's expression remained unchanged as she took a slow sip of her drink.
Chelsea couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Shameless."
The moment Dominic referred to Cynthia as his partner, congratulations erupted from the surrounding crowd.
Dominic looked down at Cynthia, his eyes brimming with affection.
Cynthia smiled coyly, leaning against his shoulder. They looked utterly inseparable.
With his arm around Cynthia, Dominic navigated through the crowd and walked straight toward them.
"I didn't expect to see you here," he said.
Chelsea chimed in, "I was wondering about that too. Maestro Harrington's gathering is for serious musicians. Some people rely on buying fake followers for their careers and latching onto men for their status. I honestly couldn't figure out why she was standing here."
She looked Cynthia up and down. "Don't tell me she sneaked in using her status as a mistress?"
A few people in the crowd lowered their heads, snickering.
Cynthia completely lost her composure, looking up at Dominic with teary eyes. "Dominic..."
His voice dropped to a freezing temperature. "Ms. Sterling, please know when to stop."
Chelsea scoffed. "Mr. Lockwood, are you getting desperate? You didn't think it was going too far when you paraded her around the world, flaunting your romance. Now you can't handle a couple of truthful words? Are you trying to dictate everything?"
Dominic's chest heaved in anger, utterly blocked by her words.
He was just about to fire back when a warm voice interrupted them.
"Mr. Lockwood? What a coincidence."
A gray-haired man walked over.
