Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 297

Cynthia's face was a mask of utter humiliation.

She was a thousand percent sure that Seraphina had deliberately coached the child to embarrass her!

She wanted to lash out, but Gideon was standing right there.

She couldn't.

She ground her teeth, forcefully swallowing down the surging hatred.

Rendered speechless by Seraphina, Dominic shifted his gaze to his daughter hiding behind her.

He took a deep breath, softening his tone slightly. "Lily, you don't understand adult matters. But you can't speak to adults like that, do you understand?"

Lily looked at him timidly. "But it's mine."

Dominic's expression darkened again, his lips pressing into a thin line.

Standing nearby, Cynthia felt her cheeks burning.

The surrounding stares pierced her like needles. She had never felt so humiliated in her life.

She took a deep breath and reached out to tug at Dominic's sleeve. "Dominic, don't yell at her. Just talk to her nicely."

With that, she crouched down, slipped the bracelet off her wrist, and offered it to Lily.

"You're right, this is Lily's, so Lily should decide what happens to it. I was just trying it on, but of course, it has to go back to you."

She affectionately patted Lily's head. "You're such a good girl. You know Aunt Cynthia loves you the most. Didn't I make you all those delicious treats a few days ago? I'll make them again for you, okay?"

She smiled sweetly at Lily, but a freezing chill hid behind her eyes.

Lily didn't say a word. She simply clutched the bracelet and took a half-step back.

Dominic frowned as he watched his daughter's reaction.

"Lily, look at you, making such a fuss over a bracelet. Aunt Cynthia cares about you so much. She cooks for you, and when your new dress couldn't go in the washing machine, she washed it by hand for you. And yet you're throwing a fit over this. Is this how a good girl acts?"

Lily grasped the bracelet tightly, her face turning red.

Aunt Cynthia had made her good food recently, and she did wash her clothes once.
