"Shut your mouth,"
Seraphina snapped ruthlessly, cutting her off in an instant.
Cynthia choked on her tears, momentarily forgetting her own performance as she stared back in pure shock.
Seraphina didn't waste another syllable on her, instead turning her attention directly to Gideon.
"Gideon, do I have the right to request all non-essential personnel be removed from the premises?"
It suddenly dawned on her that Cynthia's presence here was anything but simple.
The woman undoubtedly harbored ulterior motives.
Whether this abduction had anything to do with her or not, the absolute priority right now was tracking down Lily. She refused to squander another second arguing with this manipulative nightmare.
Gideon nodded. "She's your daughter. You have every right."
Seraphina immediately pointed a finger at Cynthia. "Get out."
Cynthia's eyes blew wide in horror. She whirled around to face Dominic. "Dominic..."
Dominic took a deep breath. "Seraphina..."
"You shut up too!" Seraphina instantly cut him off. "If you refuse to kick her out, then you can pack your bags and leave with her."
Her mind was already fiercely made up.
This woman was a walking hazard; keeping her around was far too dangerous.
If Dominic was dead-set on playing her white knight, then they could both get the hell out.
She didn't need him to find her daughter.
With Gideon on her side, along with the vast resources at her disposal, she refused to believe she couldn't tear this city upside down without Dominic's pathetic help.
Dominic's face twisted into an impossibly ugly grimace, his chest heaving violently.
Yet, met with Seraphina's utterly unyielding glare, he finally relented and turned back to Cynthia. "Go home for now."
Cynthia's face shattered with agony. "Dominic, do you doubt me too?"
"Just go home."
His voice was markedly heavier than before. "I'll find you later."
Cynthia's tears flowed even more fiercely, and she stood rooted to the spot in sheer defiance.
Gideon took an imposing stride forward. "I need all non-essential personnel to vacate immediately."
